Hands down Dr. Pierce is the best vet not only in the High Desert but amongst the many I have seen for my sick English Bulldog (all over So Cal) no one could figure out what was going on with my baby. He saved Mestloaf's life. Dr. Pierce always takes the time to explain what's going on and our options, prices are reasonable. Although I have spent a lot more than the average pet owner taking their dog for checkups but like I said I have a sick bully. I would never take my EB anywhere else. The Dr. was helpful but office staff was terrible. I signed up for the wellness plan and since I have already paid, I waited an hour to get help picking up my dog because they wanted to help other clients first that they needed to get money from. I had to flag down the vet to get help and complain to the staff. I felt completely disregarded after paying almost $800. for the yearly plan. They should treat you better for that kind of money. They're excuse was that they had walk - ins. But they told me over the phone that I needed an appointment for a Saturday. Read Less

All of my pets have been treated here since the 1980s when Dr. Appleton literally saved the life of my German Shepard. Although Dr. Appleton retired some years ago, we still drive in to Victorville from Wrightwood to see his partner, Dr. Pierce, or one of the other great Vets, Dr. McGowan or Dr. Flores. This is the best team that they have had since they first opened the new location on Palmdale Road. I was really concerned when they became a V C A affiliate and they have experienced a lot of staff turn over since then. They do try to sell monthly care plans now, especially for puppies, but I have always found the veterinary side of the facility to be clean and the staff to be friendly and efficient. In my experience Summer, Alex and the other staffers are caring and careful. No, it isn't the cheapest pet care in the area but the puppy care plan that includes spay or neutering and all inoculations for the first year seemed like a pretty good deal. Their costs for my older pets, 4 dogs and 3 cats, make me wish that I had pet insurance on my older animals but I don't believe that there is better care available in the Victor Valley area. Bad! Waited to be acknowledged when got there. Reception nurse was busy with other guy. Another person walks in and some help came up to him. I told them i was next. The waiting area seemed unclean. Pee on floors and furniture. Guy who took my puppys temp was a bit forceful. Commented he s hould stay still if he doesnt want it to hurt. Try to sell you a plan and act rude when you say no. I love dr pierce , he is the vet to my 4 dogs. Yes they r expensive but they go over prices before your appointment if you ask. They wanted to charge me $300 to save my dog from parvo but I explained to them I cannot afford that so they gave me an alternative . And my puppy was just fine for half the cost . I have taken both my golden retrievers here since puppyhood, and their litter of puppies here as well. Dr. Pierce is the best, very thougrough, and caring. He took time to call and check up on my Sophie after her spay, and always answers all my questions. They may be considered expensive to some, but I would rather pay more to know they are taken care of. The staff is always polite, and has been very acomidating on numerous occasions. Awful service, my partner and I took our cat for a yearly checkup. The receptionist was extremely rude and argued with my partner regarding Toby's vaccinations, receptionists are not medically trained but here they seem to think they can examine the pets at the door. My partner was so upset she went to the car for the rest of the duration. The vet was very nice but we will never go to this place again until they change their receptionists.
