One word BEWARE!
Even with a meeting and clear understanding that boarding my high maintenance pup required pampering and no expense needed to be spared since I clearly realize she is beyond needy, I picked her up with multiple injuries to her face and toes, and a broken tooth requiring surgery to remove it.
The absurd and defensive email response from Dr Schiebert was hardly worth responding to so I thought it would be best to just take the time to warn others.
Most alarming is that according to the vet this NEVER happens and according to her staff this ALWAYS happens. She went as far as suggesting that my dog came in with self inflicted wounds and continued to cause these additional injuries to herself even though the staff had already advised me that "this ALWAYS happens here."
Believe me and believe the other reviews here and spare yourself and your precious pet the horrendous experience that we encountered here.
I'm sure the vet will attempt to discredit my review in the same absurd manner that she responded to my email with, but to bring my review full circle...BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!
Also, my rating is actually 0 stars but you know reviews don’t have that option.

I would recommend the Drake center in Encinitas.
The Veterinarians are honest, organized, and all the staff there are wonderful.
I’m sooooo happy to have found them. Being in the health care field myself, I know how hard it is to find honest, caring, and hard working doctors.

Thank you so much for the exceptional care that we got today. Not only did you take great care of my cat you guys also helped get jump my car when my battery died. I can't tell you what a panic I was in. I am a caregiver and I had my 71-year-old Alzheimer's patient in my car along with my 10-year-old son and my injured cat. I was about to lose my mind. I can't remember the name of the girl who helped me ( and I even asked but that's how frazzled I was I can't remember now ) but way to go above and beyond. Thank you so much. You just gained six new patients :-)

They did not clean the thermometer between taking temperature of my cats, nor did I notice anything in the room to clean it with which makes me wonder if it is ever cleaned. They took my cats to another room where I was not allowed to go. Dr. Young was an alarmist. We have had our cats for several years and always take them for regular checkups, always with a clean bill of health. One of our cats has allergies, she said it might be herpes before even completing the exam! She mentioned several other absurd diagnoses. Worst vet ever, never going back!

I want to say a HUGE Thank you to Dr. Jenny Schiebert and all of the wonderful staff members here. Sophie passed in my arms last night. Dr. Jenny called me personally when she found out..... she had spent no small amount of time comforting and caring for Sophie. During the week that I boarded Sophie there, Miss Barbara and staff were carrying Sophie around (she loved to be held) and "well loving her" as in I never believed animals can be spoiled.... just well loved. I really really will never find the words to thank all of these wonderful people. They are even handling the remains for me today. My other girl Charlie will remain their patient when needed because I know of the love and care these amazing wonderful folks give all of these creatures treating each one as if it were their own fur baby. Thank you Dr. Schiebert and all of the staff. I am sure you take care of hundreds if not thousands of animals and yet you make each person and pet feel as though they are your only client.

OK so I HAD to take him another time to stay I took his food and his snacks cause he has allergies to chicken and I that is in his file ,so OK I go to get him and they never gave him his snacks or used his food ,their food has chicken in it cause I asked them after I saw they did not use what I sent not only that . I noticed no one stays all night with the animals I live around the corner from them I work nights drive by about 2 am no one is there !! I have been taking my baby there for 6 years he was always so happy going and coming out of there but not any more the new staff I am not comfortable with any more wonder why everyone else left ...

We just adopted a new kitten from the shelter the shadow ridge vet hospital is so very warm and welcoming we picked her up after surgery the staff are all fun and pet loving people we returned for our kitty's check up the vet is wonderful gave us several options for treatment and worked with my budget as to what treatment would be best for a ear infection for our little s'mores. What I find for reviews most people want to complain but never take the time to give someone kudos for doing a great job! We love the office the staff and the vet, we have had a lot of vets in many different states and cities this office will go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met ! My family thanks this staff for taking care of all of our concerns and for being the kind of people we trust with the care of our pets.

Dr. Schiebert and her attentive staff have been taking care of our dogs for years. From cherry eye, tooth extraction, to knee surgery and more. Recently, our 12 year old dog was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis. Dr, Schiebert recommended tie-back surgery. I read horrible stories on the internet but decided to go with her recommendation. Dr. Tarvin from the San Diego VCA Specialty Group performed the surgery at the San Marcos location. It was very successful and he can breathe again. We took him home the same day. Our dog is happy, he can chase balls, run and be a dog again. I thank Dr. Schiebert and Dr. Tarvin for their expertise and extending the lives of our dogs. Woofs to the entire staff!

I've been taking my dog to Shadowridge Veterinary Hospital for about 5 years. I remember my first time coming into Shadowridge and I was so impressed with how friendly and professional the veterinary care team was that I continued to drive out of my way to take my dog there. Even after all this time the care is exceptional. Dr. Schiebert is the absolute best. If I have a concern about my dog, she is equally concerned. I trust her 100%. I always recommend this hospital to anyone looking for a new veterinarian because the care team is so passionate about helping animals.

From a referral 15 years ago, I've chosen Dr. Jenny and Shadow Ridge Veterinarian Hospital for my two Boxers care. As far as I'm concerned Dr Jenny is one of the best in her field. Always tentative to the patient, owner, very knowledgeable and candid. Her team of Veterinarian professionals are all top notch in my opinion. Dr. Jenny made herself available on weekends. when my Boxer fell I'll and eventually succumbed and passes on . They are the best!

He was so wonderful and kind. He was very good about explaining everything and more important, answering ALL of Ryann's questions and concerns. Honestly that was the best part of the appointment seeing him so patient with us. Doctor Nostrand came in and she was lovely and very informative. Chloe was very comfortable with both of them and they both said she was a perfect little lady. I know Shane spent WAY more time with us then he should have but I want you to know how much it was appreciated and totally unexpected. Your hosp rates #1 to me and thank you for that. Please let both Doctor Nostrand and Shane know how much we appreciated them and the service they provided today!

One word BEWARE!
Even with a meeting and clear understanding that boarding my high maintenance pup required pampering and no expense needed to be spared since I clearly realize she is beyond needy, I picked her up with multiple injuries to her face and toes, and a broken tooth requiring surgery to remove it.
The absurd and defensive email response from Dr Schiebert was hardly worth responding to so I thought it would be best to just take the time to warn others.
Most alarming is that according to the vet this NEVER happens and according to her staff this ALWAYS happens. She went as far as suggesting that my dog came in with self inflicted wounds and continued to cause these additional injuries to herself even though the staff had already advised me that "this ALWAYS happens here."
Believe me and believe the other reviews here and spare yourself and your precious pet the horrendous experience that we encountered here.
I'm sure the vet will attempt to discredit my review in the same absurd manner that she responded to my email with, but to bring my review full circle...BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!
Also, my rating is actually 0 stars but you know reviews don’t have that option.

I would recommend the Drake center in Encinitas.
The Veterinarians are honest, organized, and all the staff there are wonderful.
I’m sooooo happy to have found them. Being in the health care field myself, I know how hard it is to find honest, caring, and hard working doctors.

Kind and respectful toward to pets! Parking is easy. Easy to locate. Downside is they are often behind schedule, but, upside is they don't rush you or your pet! Great staff.

Thank you so much for the exceptional care that we got today. Not only did you take great care of my cat you guys also helped get jump my car when my battery died. I can't tell you what a panic I was in. I am a caregiver and I had my 71-year-old Alzheimer's patient in my car along with my 10-year-old son and my injured cat. I was about to lose my mind. I can't remember the name of the girl who helped me ( and I even asked but that's how frazzled I was I can't remember now ) but way to go above and beyond. Thank you so much. You just gained six new patients :-)

Worst vet ever! One star only because I couldn't rate it 0. They did not clean the thermometer between taking temperature of my cats, nor did I notice anything in the room to clean it with which makes me wonder if it is ever cleaned. They took my cats to another room where I was not allowed to go. Dr. Young was an alarmist. We have had our cats for several years and always take them for regular checkups, always with a clean bill of health. One of our cats has allergies, she said it might be herpes before even completing the exam! She mentioned several other absurd diagnoses. Worst vet ever, never going back!

I want to say a HUGE Thank you to Dr. Jenny Schiebert and all of the wonderful staff members here. Sophie passed in my arms last night. Dr. Jenny called me personally when she found out..... she had spent no small amount of time comforting and caring for Sophie. During the week that I boarded Sophie there, Miss Barbara and staff were carrying Sophie around (she loved to be held) and "well loving her" as in I never believed animals can be spoiled.... just well loved. I really really will never find the words to thank all of these wonderful people. They are even handling the remains for me today. My other girl Charlie will remain their patient when needed because I know of the love and care these amazing wonderful folks give all of these creatures treating each one as if it were their own fur baby. Thank you Dr. Schiebert and all of the staff. I am sure you take care of hundreds if not thousands of animals and yet you make each person and pet feel as though they are your only client.

OK so I HAD to take him another time to stay I took his food and his snacks cause he has allergies to chicken and I that is in his file ,so OK I go to get him and they never gave him his snacks or used his food ,their food has chicken in it cause I asked them after I saw they did not use what I sent not only that . I noticed no one stays all night with the animals I live around the corner from them I work nights drive by about 2 am no one is there !! I have been taking my baby there for 6 years he was always so happy going and coming out of there but not any more the new staff I am not comfortable with any more wonder why everyone else left ...

We just adopted a new kitten from the shelter the shadow ridge vet hospital is so very warm and welcoming we picked her up after surgery the staff are all fun and pet loving people we returned for our kitty's check up the vet is wonderful gave us several options for treatment and worked with my budget as to what treatment would be best for a ear infection for our little s'mores. What I find for reviews most people want to complain but never take the time to give someone kudos for doing a great job! We love the office the staff and the vet, we have had a lot of vets in many different states and cities this office will go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met ! My family thanks this staff for taking care of all of our concerns and for being the kind of people we trust with the care of our pets.

Dr. Schiebert and her attentive staff have been taking care of our dogs for years. From cherry eye, tooth extraction, to knee surgery and more. Recently, our 12 year old dog was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis. Dr, Schiebert recommended tie-back surgery. I read horrible stories on the internet but decided to go with her recommendation. Dr. Tarvin from the San Diego VCA Specialty Group performed the surgery at the San Marcos location. It was very successful and he can breathe again. We took him home the same day. Our dog is happy, he can chase balls, run and be a dog again. I thank Dr. Schiebert and Dr. Tarvin for their expertise and extending the lives of our dogs. Woofs to the entire staff!

She and her staff have seen me thru times of duress with the utmost sensitivity and they were immediately accessible . My dogs and the dogs of my friends have benefited from her highly skilled ability to diagnose unusual problems and treat them with the latest medical innovations. I've been taking my dog to Shadowridge Veterinary Hospital for about 5 years. I remember my first time coming into Shadowridge and I was so impressed with how friendly and professional the veterinary care team was that I continued to drive out of my way to take my dog there. Even after all this time the care is exceptional. Dr. Schiebert is the absolute best. If I have a concern about my dog, she is equally concerned. I trust her 100%. I always recommend this hospital to anyone looking for a new veterinarian because the care team is so passionate about helping animals.

From a referral 15 years ago, I've chosen Dr. Jenny and Shadow Ridge Veterinarian Hospital for my two Boxers care. As far as I'm concerned Dr Jenny is one of the best in her field. Always tentative to the patient, owner, very knowledgeable and candid. Her team of Veterinarian professionals are all top notch in my opinion. Dr. Jenny made herself available on weekends. when my Boxer fell I'll and eventually succumbed and passes on . They are the best!

I want to share with everyone how our visit went when Ryann and I took Chloe into your hospital today. What a visit to remember, first off Shane took us back to the exam room. He was so wonderful and kind. He was very good about explaining everything and more important, answering ALL of Ryann's questions and concerns. Honestly that was the best part of the appointment seeing him so patient with us. Doctor Nostrand came in and she was lovely and very informative. Chloe was very comfortable with both of them and they both said she was a perfect little lady. I know Shane spent WAY more time with us then he should have but I want you to know how much it was appreciated and totally unexpected. Your hosp rates #1 to me and thank you for that. Please let both Doctor Nostrand and Shane know how much we appreciated them and the service they provided today!
