Dr Porte was amazing! He took his time and brainstormed what could the underlying factor was. Didn't rush us and asked me lors of questions. This is usually not the case. So I couldn't be more pleased with our visit. Plus my cat is very overweight and I didn't get a lashing for it. Dr went over what foods are really nutritious and not just less fat junk food. We stopped in without an appointment for what turned out to be an emergency. We were seen by Dr. Porte who finally referred us to a speciality hospital, but having this be our first interaction with him, it took several rounds of questions to get him to finally say our dog needed surgery - I wish he would not have beaten around the bush and said straight away we needed surgery ASAP as we were in a time critical situation. He did however refer us to an amazing hospital and his office called a week later to check up on our dog which was nice. Read Less

Staff is friendly and welcoming.  They've always been on top of the paperwork, reasonably quick to answer the phones and after a few times they recognize me and my dog when we walk in.  I really feel like they care about my pets well-being and have taken great car of her. Both Dr. Porte and Dr. Pandi have seen my pup and both seem to display a passion for animals and extensive knowledge about keeping them healthy and happy. The building is a bit run down.  Its def time for a few upgrades or a complete remodel but I'm not sure if the condition of the building should taken into account since my pup has received excellent care at their facility. Tri-city vet provides exceptional care for a reasonable cost. My dogs have been going to Dr Porte for 15 years. Dr Porte and Dr Pandi are excellent, knowledgeable, and compassionate doctors. On my first trip my cattle dog Eli had a type of Lupus. 3 other vets wanted to charge me over $600 alone for lab work with no guarantee of a result. Dr Porte spent more time visually inspecting the scabs than any other doctor. He felt he knew the cause of the growth and suggested a treatment, qualifying his opinion so I completely understood why he was treating Eli in the manner he prescribed. Next was a car accident which allowed me to experience a comforting Dr Porte, assuring me of the expected recovery. Dr Porte and Dr Pandi are simply the most caring veterinarians I have ever had the experience of dealing with. This is not a job for them, they truly love animals. Today was the first time I'd ever been here, or even in that shopping center at all. My sister and I (and two very close friends) took our beloved dog, Suki, in this evening to be put to sleep. The receptionist (Diane) was very nice to my sister on the phone which is always nice, but especially in cases like this. Both the vet and the vet tech were awesome. They even sat on the floor with my sister and Suki during the process and he (vet) was very nice about explaining what was going on during the process. I'm pretty sure that without the great people here today would have been even more difficult than it already is. A+, two thumbs up and 5 stars. Read Less
