$39 seemed like a good price for the doctor to look at my dog. It seemed reasonable considering other Veterinarians were charging $50 or more. I figured an analysis, maybe some medication and I would be out the door for under $100. Not the case as my final bill was closer to $180. Ouch! And this was a simple analysis! My biggest issue was that the doctor or faculty did not disclose how much the analysis, shots (not vaccines) or medication would cost. You don't go to a mechanic without an estimate first. Dr. Bath and her staff were wonderful with my cat today.  They were very kind and gentle and it is obvious that they do this work because they love animals.  And their prices are unbelievable reasonable.  We moved to the area recently, from Laguna Niguel, and were quoted a teeth cleaning price that was a forth of what was charged back in LN.  When I told Dr. Bath this, she responded that they do want the animals to get the care they need.  Wonderful people.  Take your fur babies here. The day I met Dr. Bath and Chrissy I knew I would never go anywhere else.Dr. Bath is so gentle and kind. You can just see that she was meant to be in this profession.They have taken care of my dad's 15 year old cat for over 2 years now. We lost dad a year ago and I can't tell you how much a part of him I still treasure. Tasha has had kidney failure and since fluids and medicine she is doing great! We have been in the office as much as 3 times a week for fluids. She also gets an arthritis injection and B 12 which really helps alot.I am grateful beyond words for Dr. Bath! This place is awesome. They are inexpensive which helps me a lot since I only work part time. They take care credit which is a plus. I own 2 huskies and sometimes they get into trouble. When Sunset (1 of my huskies) hurt her paw (my neighbors dog got her paw and the pad was hanging, the bleeding wouldn't stop) I didn't know what to do. I called the vet office, it was a Sunday so they were close. However Yecenia was there, I explained what happend she told me to clean it and to bandage it, to keep on eye on her. She added Sunset to the appointment for Monday morning. On Monday Sunset got stiches, micro chipped, meds, the e-collar and spade. All for under $400.00. I was at work and every time I called to check on her Yecenia and Dr. Bath were great. Even after her surgery everytime I called to ask a question, Yecenia always called me back with an answer. I have found my new vet!! I took in my baby, teacup Yorkie Rocco yesterday to have his ears looked at and from the moment I walked in to the moment we left the service was impeccable!! Christy was absolutely AWESOME!! Her customer service skills are on point. She was very gentle with our Rocco and very nice and informative to us. Dr. Bath is absolutely lovely! She is so compassionate and caring and patient. We were in and out of the office very fast and Rocco is on the road to getting better.It makes me sad and really confused to read some of the negatives reviews, but I am a true believer that to get respect you have to give it.  And some customers feel they are entitled to behave in a rude fashion and just because you are a business you have to take it, and that is very unfair. So if you are looking for loving, compassionate and  affordable health care for your furry family please go to Vista Veterinary Hospital, you will not be disappointed.One more thing, they also did a complimentary ear cleaning and nail trimming at no charge, which we didn't expect but are truly appreciative for it. I was referred to Vista veterinarian hospital was friendly and inexpensive. nothing could have been further from the truth. my two dogs, weighing less than 10 pounds each I received a bill for $387.60 naturally I was taken back but instead I paid the bill what else could I do. when my dogs were brought out to me I easily recognized one dog and the second dog I thought it was the wrong dog. the second dog was completely void of any hair and in no way did they have my permission to do that nor was it requested. I would not recommend sister veterinarian hospital on 1139 South Santa Fe Avenue in Vista her phone number is 760 - 726 - 1234 I am posting this because when I called their phone number to complain about the toes trimming that did not need to be done and I was charged $50 they hung up on me. like I said I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. but I do blame myself for a bit because when I went there there were no customers upon drop off and pick up. incidentally I did look up the average cost of a small dog grooming and it's $50 incidentally I also requested worming that wasn't done I also requested shots and that wasn't done. the only thing they're good at is scalping your dog and charge us for the prices that you have to pay if you want your dog. I only wish that nobody else has to suffer this abuse from Vista veterinarian hospital. by myself will start taking my dog to Petsmart or I can see the grooming process. and in well aware of any charges. this by far was the worst experience if I was not an elderly woman I would have fought it but I'm 79 years old and I have no time to fight over an injustice. 10 Stars**** I brought my fur baby Rosie here today. It is in a bit of an odd location but not hard to find. I called today and got a same day appointment (my now old vet was booked). I was so impressed with the friendly welcoming atmosphere.  After the Doc took care of my baby she explained everything and gave some advice.  I did not feel rushed and although I have no complaints about my old vet this is now where we belong. DO NOT GO HERE unless you don't care about your pet. SERIOUSLY! If I could give negative stars, I'd love to give this place negative millions!!! Our little dog was fairly hyper than general; (All the groomers even suggested us to go to the vet and get some help of the medicine.) Anyway, my boyfriend and I went to this place 'Vista Veterinary Hospital' to get some help from the professional on our dog, as we were planning to take our dog to the East Coast the following week. We didn't want her to suffer from stress as well as calm her down a little bit and distress her while she's flying with us. This place gave us a little medicine bottle with few pills - no instruction nor the dosage limit/ only saying, if the medicine seems like doesn't calm her down, give her more as needed. (Even on the bottle, it says ' as needed'). *of course, no description on how DANGEROUS this medicine was. I followed the words of Vet while we were flying for 8 hours. Gave the medicine to our dog as needed and she seemed very calm. However, as soon as we arrived to our family's house in East Coast - she couldn't stop barking. She was very hyper than how she was normally and suddenly she dropped down and had a seizure. She was perfectly healthy dog, no problems with her health - so I was freaking out. She couldn't stand up so I immediately knew I needed to take her to the Vet. But unfortunately, she died while we were heading to the Vet. We tried everything - including CPR. Nothing worked out for us. We told the VET in East Coast what happened and what we gave to her while we were flying. They were very surprised that this place (Vista Vet) even gave us that particular medicine to a healthy dog to just calm it down. They said, the VISTA VET HOSPITAL gave us was purely for the dogs which previously had seizures -and it is to prevent future seizures. Also, they mentioned, it is very surprising to see how they thought of using this medicine as a sedation purpose as they'd never ever give this medicine to a perfectly healthy dog. I was very furious. Called this place and told them what happened. This place, of course, denied their mistake of gave us the wrong kind of medicine. But on top of that, they said the kind of medicine they gave us is what they normally give out to the other pet owners and widely used sedation medicine. I researched for months. (Probably my whole family did.) What they told us wasn't true. The particular medicine they gave to us was mainly for SEIZURE and out of many (probably like 20) 'side-effects', one of them was 'sedation.' This place never said sorry to us, but basically saying the death of our dog was our fault. I am scared to death if this place is still giving out that seizure medicine as a sedation purpose and hurting the dog! I am currently filing complaint, as for me, it seems like they are violating the veterinary medicine law. *Also the other vet recommended to us to sue this place. My dog, she was my precious baby, friend and my everything. If you really care about your pet. Take your pet to the well-known place or at least research them a little more. I called this veterinary office to inquire about neutering my kitten. The receptionist/staff (named Chrissy or Kristi?) who answered the phone was very distracted. It wasn't until we had talked for a few minutes with having to repeat everything I said when she asks to call me back because she was trying to handle a dog. She should've answered and asked to put me on hold, took care of the dog, then returned to the call, or had someone else take care of the call. She calls me back and there was something about her tone that made it sound like I was inconveniencing her. There is always background with each review that expresses complaint, but there is also always a basis on how people should treat each other. I am a customer who called to ask a couple of questions and make an appointment; that does not warrant irritation and bad customer service. I understand if she was having a bad day, but all it takes is communication, self-control, and maturity to help someone out. At the end of the phone call, I ended up cancelling my appointment. It's true that most people who work in veterinary offices love animals and would never mistreat them, but that doesn't mean you get to mistreat people for not being animals. If there were 10 stars available, they would get all TEN....I can't say enough about Dr. Bath and technician, Chrissy.  Not only are they courteous and caring, they are extremely diligent and thorough which eases my mind when it comes to problems with my pets.  I have had my little dog AJ there for a tooth extraction, and everything went extremely well.  The price was right, and the care given to AJ, impeccable.  I have tried Melrose vet in the past for AJ's teeth, and he came back with a contusion on his eyeball from "thrashing in the cage".  I don't believe that for a second. Next, we have had our 2  labrador retrievers in there for several different issues including xrays and a complicated surgery on my older lab (2 pound tumor removed!)   They are consistent, and always extremely caring as well as TRUSTWORTHY.   I always feel like "family" when I go in to see them, and they treat my pets as if they were their own.  Doesn't everyone want a place like that when their furry baby is sick??Try Vista Vet.  I PROMISE you will not be disappointed.  The best is the best, and when you know it you KNOW it!  LOLThanks for reading! Dr. Bath and staff...I can't say enough good things...HONEST, CARING, KNOWLEGEABLE, FRIENDLY, CLEAN...that's just the beginning...My dog loves to run around in our yard off her leash...we are new dog owners and did not realize the risk.  She ate snail bait and was found a few hours later not being able to breathe and having seizures.  We called Dr. Bath who was closing shop but assured us that she would wait for us to bring in our dog.  From the moment we set foot in the clinic, I knew we were in the right place.  The staff promptly led our dog in the treatment room and Dr. bath quickly took over.  I was outwardly upset and could not contain my tears. They not only treated the dog skillfully, but, comforted me and my family with empathetic glances and kind words.  My dog, under the care of Dr. Bath, survived the ordeal and is happy and healthy once again (she is no longer allowed to run freely outside without supervision!)...I have been to other vetsand the first thing they discuss is the cost of treatment.  The primary job of the staff at these places is to take your money and make appointments. The biggest thing that I don't like at these other vets is that they take your pet from you and treat in a back room while you are in the waiting room.  Dr. Bath allowed us to be there while she treated our dog.  I highly recommend this clinic.  I personally will never go anywhere else.Thank you Dr. Bath! I went here twice and would not go again. Dr Bath was ok but she insisted the problem was fleas on my cat and yet not a flea could be found. The receptionist was strange. My husband came in the 2nd time with me and she looked at him and said "who are you?" Made hime feel weird. Dr. Bath was amazing! In one visit Dr. Bath diagnosed a long term issue that our dog had. in one appointment.  She  prescribed the appropriate meds and our Dog is completely out of discomfort. We had been going to another vet for a while trying to help our Black Lab with a skin issue that made her miserable. We spent lots of $$ with no real results. The vet at the Vista Animal Hospital is a nice and caring man. He seems very experienced and treated my pets with dignity. He gave me options and accepted staying in my budget. No High pressure sales. I have always been able to get a quick appointment and the doctor always takes plenty of time with me. He is horrible! He supposedly spayed my cat. My cat still goes into heat every 6-8 weeks and it's hell! He says it is not his fault and wants $600 for exploritory surgery! I have taken my cat to 3 other vets who all said the vet that fixed her didn't do a good job! OBVIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!! He refuses to help and says its not his fault.
