A male assistant I believe, he was not the vet, was extremely rude. I went to simply get my dog’s ears cleaned and Sr. must have been having a bad day. He proceeded to tell me in a rude manner to do it myself. Excuse me but I was there PAYING him to do it. He was really rough when cleaning my dog’s ears and I can’t believe I let him do it. He is a tall white man covered in tattoos who has an ATTITUDE PROBLEM. The rest of the staff is friendly but I would not recommend being assisted by him. Ruined my day.

Generations of my family have been taking there pets here. I always get good service and they walk the dogs when they are boarded to keep them healthy. I highly recommend it.

I was just at the office, 10/21/17. My family and I had found a kitten that had just been hit by a car in front of our house, that was still alive. We rushed it to the West Covina Pet Hospital, where my family and I have been taking our pets for the past 25 years. We attempted to talk to the girl at the front, Carla. However, as we were holding the kitten, bleeding and dying in our arms, she kept wagging her finger at us. She was motioning for us to be quiet and didn’t even look up at us. It wasn’t until my mom finally told her the animal was barely breathing, in front of all the other people waiting in the office that she decided to acknowledge us. After we were finally seen by the doctor and had to unfortunately put the kitten to sleep, and as she was taking our money, she finally decided to give the most fake “sorry” I have ever heard. Absolutely horrible and unprofessional. If you don’t know how to work with animals or even people for that matter, that job is NOT for you. By far the worst experience my family and I had ever had at the hospital. Watch out for Carla.

This place is garbage. Smells like it hasn't been cleaned in years which is the first red flag. We brought our dog in because it was dry heaving really badly and eating grass rapidly and we needed to see right away if there was something obstructing her airway or anything that could of gotten got in her throat. So we drive here and are greeted with "sorry the doctor is on lunch and we can't take you today without an appointment. I understand the appointment system but we have a borderline emergency, you can't even have an open nurse who's sitting around do some checks and ask more questions? The old lady nurse (didn't bother asking her name) is rude as hell. I used to bring my dogs here but I've been taking them to Hacienda animal hospital on Hacienda across the street from starbucks and harbor freight. That doctor is incredible, but closed today. Avoid this place and go there.

I have nothing but good to say about the owner, doctors and staff at this clinic. Dr B is amazing as well as Dr. C ! My 7year old son Tiggy was found to have a mass on his spleen. He had surgery this morning and unfortunately his cancer had spread and we had to put him down. The staff was caring and they did a great job at taking care of my Tiggy. The pricing was good. The building is old but it is kept as clean as possible. Dr B called me through out the weekend and encouraged me to give my dog the best chance possible. I am glad I followed his advice or I might have regretted it. Believe me that when I get my next dog I will definitely go back to Dr B. Thank you again West Covina Pet Hospital

Been going there for years and had great experience, except today. Didn't know they had a policy that there is an extra day kenneling charge if you don't pick up by Noon. Wasn't advised of that policy at checkin. Not even a consideration for the fact that I'm a frequent customer. Wow!! Not cool.

Great service and caring staff. My dog had to go to the emergency room after an accident with another dog but West Covina Pet Hospital was very through with their care for him and explained the procedure to us clearly. The surgery was less than initially estimated and the Hospital was honest and generous to refund us the overcharges.

I'm so grateful for all West Covina Pet Hospital has done for my family and I. My beagle Lily (at the time she was a puppy) swallowed a peach pit from a peach tree that my neighbor had and got it stuck in her intestines which then blocked her system. She began throwing up and not being able to eat, drink or to even want to move. But, the staff was great and Dr. Brown saved her life. Because of West Covina Pet Hospital Lily is living a happy life. My family and I are so grateful and will never forget how kind everyone was.

Today a small dog was lost and my father who can barely speak any English went into this hospital for help. They refused to take the dog in. I know this is a hospital and not an animal shelter, but I don't understand why they couldn't take the dog to a shelter.Given this experience, it is clear that these people really don't care about dogs, obviously they just want your money. So, if you want to take your pet to an establishment who refuses to help a scared little animal because he doesn't have a big wallet, then by all means go here. Otherwise, find a place where they actually care about your pet.

What can I say about this institution of veterinary medicine? Our family has been bringing our pets here for care, for almost 40 years! I love Dr. Brown! He is smart and caring. Sadly, he is now semi-retired, but I had the distinct pleasure of having Dr. Caliolio care for my Otis today. I could not be more pleased with the care we received. Dr. C. was kind and informative. He is continuing the elevated standard of care set by his predecessor very well. The staff too, was also very efficient and kind.Of course, no place is perfect. In the 40 years that we have been going to WCPH the office and the exam rooms have not changed much and are in desperate need for updating. Fortunately though, I was told today that the new owner plans on updating the inside, but has been told by the city that they could not change the outside. But to be very honest, I could care less about the aesthetics, as long as they take good care of the 4 legged members of my family, which they do VERY well.

- good place for regular vaccinations- waiting time is reasonable- some of the staffs are rude- do not bring your pet here if you have a serious concern about your dog, they will make you spend tons of money before they can figure out the real reason behind your dog's problem- either their X-ray machine is out-dated or they're not skilled enough to use it. I had my dog x-rayed here a few times and all the images came out blurry! What a waste of money. Will never bring him here to get x-rayed again.

Worst veterinary clinic EVER! I took my cat in for an exam/vaccines. When we went into the exam room, the exam table was dirty from the previous dog that was in the exam room before us. They didn't bother cleaning it. The vet had a torn glove that he didn't bother to change. Who knows when the last time was when he changed it. But I guess it was okay, since the vet did not even touch my cat. Didn't check his ears or his eyes. Nothing. My cat had a struvite crystal blockage last year (cost ~$900), so he needs prescription cat food. After lecturing us about why the cat food is necessary (which we already knew, which was a waste of time), the vet left. Doing nothing with the cat still. The vet tech came in to administer the vaccines and that was it. They charged us $40 for writing a prescription and not checking the cat at all. Total for visit: $120. RIP OFF. Also, the doctor refused to listen to us when we asked questions......BUT after calling the office and complaining, they refunded us back our $40.

A male assistant I believe, he was not the vet, was extremely rude. I went to simply get my dog’s ears cleaned and Sr. must have been having a bad day. He proceeded to tell me in a rude manner to do it myself. Excuse me but I was there PAYING him to do it. He was really rough when cleaning my dog’s ears and I can’t believe I let him do it. My dog had to go to the emergency room after an accident with another dog but West Covina Pet Hospital was very through with their care for him and explained the procedure to us clearly. I'm so grateful for all West Covina Pet Hospital has done for my family and I. My beagle Lily (at the time she was a puppy) swallowed a peach pit from a peach tree that my neighbor had and got it stuck in her intestines which then blocked her system. What can I say about this institution of veterinary medicine? Our family has been bringing our pets here for care, for almost 40 years! I love Dr. Brown! He is smart and caring. Sadly, he is now semi-retired, but I had the distinct pleasure of having Dr. Caliolio care for my Otis today. I could not be more pleased with the care we received. Dr. C. was kind and informative. - good place for regular vaccinations- waiting time is reasonable- some of the staffs are rude- do not bring your pet here if you have a serious concern about your dog, they will make you spend tons of money before they can figure out the real reason behind your dog's problem- either their X-ray machine is out-dated or they're not skilled enough to use it. I had my dog x-rayed here a few times and all the images came out blurry! What a waste of money. Will never bring him here to get x-rayed again.

HORRIBLE!!!!! pet hospital!!!!! Dirty! over charge on everything, and their receptionist and manger are rude! They talk so much crap about all their clients. They might act friendly in front of you but talk crap about you once they go in the back.

Worst veterinary clinic EVER! I took my cat in for an exam/vaccines. When we went into the exam room, the exam table was dirty from the previous dog that was in the exam room before us. They didn't bother cleaning it. The vet had a torn glove that he didn't bother to change. Who knows when the last time was when he changed it. But I guess it was okay, since the vet did not even touch my cat. Didn't check his ears or his eyes. Nothing. My cat had a struvite crystal blockage last year (cost ~$900), so he needs prescription cat food. After lecturing us about why the cat food is necessary (which we already knew, which was a waste of time), the vet left. Doing nothing with the cat still. The vet tech came in to administer the vaccines and that was it. They charged us $40 for writing a prescription and not checking the cat at all. Total for visit: $120. RIP OFF. Also, the doctor refused to listen to us when we asked questions......BUT after calling the office and complaining, they refunded us back our $40.
