This place deserves a 5+! rating. The staff is very friendly and responsive. Doctors are knowledgable and really care for their patients. Horrible! I"ve been going there for my dogs for over a decade. Always an "upsell." This time my dog Delilah had an eye infection. One trip for meds and check. $150. Appointment for recheck $40, eye drops $50. Two meds, one eye drop antibiotic and what was told me was going to be an internal antibiotic $60. It wasn't an antibiotic at all, it was pain meds. Finally go to another vet yesterday and after two weeks of pain and meds at $310, pay him $125 and get the eye fixed. It's about the money with these people. Read Less

Horrible. Since this place has changed ownership the vets don't know what they are taking about. Make you keep coming back and dont ever fix the problem. I will never come back to this place again. Dr David Namekata is worthless and doesn't know what he is doing. Do not ever go to him. I was telling him what to do based upon a google search. Then he wouldn't even give me the courtesy to come out and explain what was done after the exam. Worthless. Read Less

My dog was injured during a dental cleaning procedure by one of Westlake Animal Hospital's vendors, Pet Dental Services. She was returned to me in pain, possibly from a pinched nerve, or disc issue, which she probably made evident to the technician during the procedure. Beyond Pet Dental's insensitivity to a distressed animal, Westlake Animal Hospital, after seeing her immediately after the episode, and recommending initial treatment, has not had the courtesy to follow up to see how my pet was faring. I have never had a veterinarian not care enough to follow up on an animal after an injury or a surgery. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Read Less

I have been extremely pleased every time I've had to bring my pets here. The staff is friendly and courteous. The hospital is kept impeccable and I've seen multiple vets and all are wonderful. For such an upscale place, they are also reasonably priced. Also helps that they are open until 10pm. Highly recommend. Read Less

Dr. Stacy Rothman & staff are the only people I would ever bring my beloved furry friends to for their healthcare. I had a Beagle, Ruby, and she lived for 11 years. I brought Ruby there for her end-of-life care after becoming displeased with prior veterinary care. Fortunately, I happened upon Dr. Rothman at Westlake Village Animal Hospital. My little girl, the love of my life, Ruby, passed on (yesterday) and I cannot say enough about the tender, professional, compassionate & human touch Dr. Rothman brings to Veterinary medicine. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I love WVAH! Running a rescue, I've worked with dozens of vets in the LA area, but Westlake is without a doubt my fav. They take excellent care of their patients and their "parents". Lots of TLC and incredible medical knowledge. This is the creme de la creme of animal hospitals! The late night doc, Dr. Ash -- yes, they're open 24 hours -- is an expert thoughtful diagnostician who was not in the least intimidated by our pooch's anti-social side, nor squeamish when said pooch lost control of his bowels and bladder. (Dr. Ash even noted that our overprotective chihuahua mix was nicer --i.e. not acting out -- when we weren't in the room!) He explained why blood tests and X-rays in this case wold be a waste of money, and he had a solid strategy for both diagnosing and being therapeutic at the same time. He took the time to explain and answer questions. And the front desk staff were equally competent and good-natured. You will feel good about bringing your pet here; so will your pet. Read Less
