We love our vet! We see Dr. Ringoni who is amazing. His calm energy is perfect for our dog. Our 11 year old dachshund shakes and drools anytime she gets near the vet. She HATES going to the vet more than any other dog I've ever seen. She always calms down a little bit when Dr. Ringoni enters the room. That's a big deal! There are also a couple of techs there whose names I'm blanking on right now who are so compassionate and loving toward our scaredy dog. You can almost always get same day appointments and we never end up waiting terribly long for the vet to come in the room. Worst experience ever.i paid 1200 dollars for tests they didn't even do .my dog ended up having soft cell sarcoma (cancer slowing growing ) when these idiots told me don't worry about the large growth on her hinde leg its just fluid filled cyst and it doesn't need to be removed .three weeks later i have to take my dog to the animal emergency Hospital at four am cause my dog was shaking,shivering, and panting .turns out they never even did the biopsy on the growth that i specifically asked them to run tests on and find out if it was malignant.they told me it was benine. And don't worry she Will be just fine with it shouldn't bother her much .i would give this place a zero if i could .over priced and the people that work there don't even care about the animals .they just want your money .i paid these crooks 200 dollars for a test for my dogs urine and they never even got back to me regarding the. Results nor did they give me the antibiotics for the urinary tract infection!!!!!!im going to sue these guys for almost losing my dog and misdiagnosing and costing me over four thousand dollars plus the 1200 dollars for the fake tests they never performed !!!!!!i would recommend doctor garcia on ventura and woodlake instead .his faculties offer everything your animal needs .he doesn't charge you a arm and leg and he and his staff truly care for your animal..he is . my new vet for life . I really love this office since they've taken such good care our of crazy dog, Carmen! We honestly don't care which Doctor we see, as we've been here about 4 times and each one has been good. Although I do have to say the front staff is GREAT. There are multiple stories we could go into but I'll only tell one. We had an accident about 6 months ago where our curious dog dug through our suitcase and ate my husbands Vynase medication. We call poison control and they advised to keep an eye on her and if she shows erratic behavior to take her in. Sure enough, 10 minutes later she's running in circles in the living room. I called SoCal Vet and they said to bring her in immediately. Once we were there they asked for our reference number at poison control to talk to them directly. I was so panicked but they stayed calm, worked quickly, and kept our doggie on fluids, gave her something to de-simulate her, and monitored her all day (11 hours). I was crying in the office when we took her in because I felt so guilty, but they explained accidents happen, she wasn't going to die from this, and they would take good care of her. To save us money they said it was ok to take her home over night but bring her back the next day and they would give her more fluids and monitor her (about 12 hours this time). She basically had to just wait until the drugs were out of her system. They were so nice when I called multiples times a day asking for updates. They put her in a room by herself with the lights low and the staff would go in there and spend time with her. Our dog fully recovered and surprisingly, still loves going to the vet! Another thing to mention is that my mother in law recently had to put her dog down and she said that the staff here made an extremely difficult situation easier on her. They really made sure her old doggie was comfortable in his final minutes. They even sent her a condolence card the next day. When she picked up the ashes, they included a small ceramic plate with his paw print and name. My mother in law loved it and now has a great way to remember her dog by. Read Less

We were referred to this office by a good friend for a second opinion for our 10 yr old Labradoodle. He had been previously hospitalized elsewhere for an intestinal issue and it was recommended that he have exploratory surgery. It just didn't seem right! Dr. Gonzalez met with us, reviewed all his prior records and ran her own tests to compare. Horrible practice. Overpriced for everything and customer service is awful. They charged me $300 for diagnostics they were not able to complete because they were not able to collect the urine. I called for a refund for my diagnostics that were NEVER DIAGNOSED (THAT IS THE POINT OF DIAGNOSTICS) and was simply told it's not an option because it was a package deal they had with the lab. I didn't sign up for a package deal, nor did I agree to such terms, or sign a contract and never was explained this when they had no issue collecting my money. Office help nice. My dog had a drippy eye, not a crisis thought I'd get some eye drops but oh no they wanted 2 do test and charge over 300.00 . We were a referral and we had never been there before but my girlfriends cat, Einstein, was dying of mouth cancer and had to be put down. They were so caring and so compassionate; taking time to explain every step of the process, assuring my girlfriend that it was the right time to do it, and the best thing for her cat. Tagline: DR. CUELLAR REFUSES TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR DYING PET! Fails to talk to adults in a mature way. Dr. Kelly is great, sweet, and wonderful. I took my senior cat in recently when I noticed she had been losing a lot of weight, and Dr. Kelly was professional and sensitive when informing me that my cat had a lump in her stomach area. This was awful news to hear, but I appreciated that Dr. Kelly answered my questions and provided me with follow up instructions on how to proceed next with my ailing cat. Dr. Cuellar, on the other hand, is the reason for the 1 star. When I first noticed that my cat was losing weight and that she was not eating as much 3 months ago, I took her in to get checked. I told Dr. Cuellar the issues, which he wrote down. He gave her the annual shots and such. Then he sent me away with no follow ups or suggestions. He did not offer to check her blood or take x-rays or anything, despite the fact that I've noticed a change in eating habits from my 13-year old cat. This should have been a red flag! As a first time pet owner, I do not have the medical background to know the questions to ask and the medical tests available for senior cats, and Dr. Cuellar failed to inform me of these things. Despite everyone's raving of Dr. Cuellar's experience in this field, he has failed severely to support me and my cat. My main complaint with all this is that her suffering for the past 3 months could have been avoided or alleviated if Dr. Cuellar had been a more mindful practitioner. *** UPDATE: Dr. Cuellar is completely unprofessional and unethical! He called me the next day to give me the diagnosis of my cat, which was very bad news. I asked him why he neglected to recommend blood work and x-rays last May when I first noticed that there was seriously something wrong with her. He denied any responsibility and refused to compensate me for the medical expenses for his lack of oversight. When I told him I would be writing him a bad review on Yelp, he told me that I was no longer welcomed to bring my cat to his vet and would send me my paperwork so I can take my dying cat somewhere else. WHAT KIND OF VET REFUSES TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO YOUR DYING PET?!! Rather than talking to me as an adult about how we can best work together to help my cat, he is demonstrating that he clearly does not appreciate feedback nor truly cares about your pet beyond his business operation. I've been going to Socalvet ever since a friend suggested we take our dog there for a second opinion. If it weren't for Dr. Kelly and Socalvet she (Mabel, our dog) wouldn't be alive today. We have three dogs now and they call go to Socalvet. I love all of the vets there and the staff. It's so nice to go in and be able to talk to everyone at the front desk as they ask questions as to how all the dogs are doing, etc. And, they have the best hours! I feel kind of bad for them that they are open so early and late but it's great for us working folks with bad drives who can't get home before 6pm.Read Less

I was cautious about taking my 2 dogs to a Vet Hospital expecting high costs. But, I found this hospital to be comparable to the clinic where I formerly took my dogs. I also found a great caring and understanding staff here as well. I will always take my pit bull mix and my toy terrier to this hospital for shots and well as accidents and illnesses.
