I will start off by saying that I like Dr. Kunin a lot, he is a very nice man and really great with animals. His office, the way it is run is another story. We went to him for a few years and from day one his office staff have been an issue in one way or another. Either they were rude in their manner or they were unwilling to help in a situation. I made Dr. Kunin aware of this years ago. He responded by telling me he just could not find good people and he was appreciative of me bringing this to his attention. He has revamped his office staff many times through the years we were with him. It went from bad, to worse. I won't bore you with my whole story. Bottom line a few months ago one of my dogs, that has a very serious spine condition was in so much pain he literally could not get out of the car. It was about 3 I called and explained the situation and asked if I could bring him right over for an injection? NO I could not, they were booked. Ok, well this is an emergency considering my dog has now been stuck in the car for more than an hour. My dog weighs more than 90 pounds and I weigh about 110...I asked to speak to the Doctor, I was told he would not get on the phone with me. I will assume he was not made aware of the situation. I was told I should bring my Dog into an urgent care!!!!! After giving my dog double the amount of his pain pills and waiting another hour, we got him out. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kunin and told him of the situation. He assured me he was not aware of this and it would never happen again. He told me to ask for his Vet tech if this ever happened again. Coincidentally, two weeks later my other dog got a very severe ear infection from the look of his ear and his discomfort. I called on a Monday morning when they opened and explained he needed to be seen. Again, they were booked, but they could refer me to another Vet. I then asked to speak to that "Vet Tech" and was told he could not talk. Ok great this is working... About an hour later i got through to him and was told I could bring my dog in two days later. Ok this is the exact care I want for my animals, right???? That was it for me. I called a different Vet at Woodland Hills Pet Clinic and explained I had a sick dog and they told me to bring him right over. He was seen right away and had a double ear infection. Sure I should have waited another two days for my dog to suffer and lose his hearing, why Not???? I took the time to write Dr. Kunin a letter to explain to him why we would not be returning ever again. I will say Dr. Kunin is hearing impaired, but I have talked to him on the phone many times. you would think he would have picked up the phone and called me, no. I received a letter supposedly from him, where he referred to my dog twice in the letter by a different name. I am not sure if this was actually from him, or if one of his great office staff intercepted the letter and wrote back. Either way, it confirmed for me that this was not a place I wanted for the care of my animals. As pet owners, we all want to feel that when our pets need care, they will be given it. They will no be forced to wait in pain until its a convenient time for them to be squeezed in. I have a thought. STOP OVERBOOKING YOUR DAMN OFFICE AND GIVE SICK ANIMALS CARE WHEN NEEDED! IT'S NOT A DIFFICULT CONCEPT!!! Read Less
