As good as the doctors are at this veterinary clinic it doesn't matter if you have a very sick dog and are told you have to wait 2 weeks to see anyone. When my daughter was out of town and her 15 year old dog was having trouble urinating I was told they couldn't see her for 2 weeks but it could be serious. I asked what they would suggest and in a very matter of fact way they said well try to get a urine sample. If the dogs cant urinate that is pretty difficult. I'm sorry to see these doctors are more worried about building their clientele then servicing the dogs that count on them. Read Less

If I could give 0 stars I would! I walk in first thing this morning hoping they would be able to see my dog (I have never been here mind you, I live out of town) so I walk up to the older lady at the front desk with my dog and she asked what was going on. I told her that it's my dogs paws and with full blown attitude and no hesitation (she wouldn't even let me finish what I was trying to tell her) she scolds me that she has to refer me to Yorba Regional Animal Hospital. She asked if I knew the area and when I said no she rolled her eyes and raised her voice to ask one of the assistants to help tell me the way. Well not even 2 seconds later while he was trying to figure out the best way to direct me she yells at him saying "Um hello did you hear me?" The assistant was nice in telling me how to get there but this lady was rushing me out the door as quick as she could. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I'd first like to say that I don't FEEL like the Doctors and staff here care for my dog...I KNOW they care about my dog. There is a big difference there. I was referred here by a few friends and I'm so happy we took the chance to come here to see Dr. Yasso about 8 months ago. We had been to 3 vets prior and never really felt loved. I am a first time dog owner and am very anxious when it comes to anything wrong with my pup and no one made me and Bibi feel cared for until we came to Circle of Friends. I called because she was acting differently after her Bordatella and Parvo shots (she was having a normal reaction but I called just to be safe) and Bryce who answered the phone listened to my concerns and told me he would talk to the doctor and call back. He called shortly after and assured me that her symptoms were totally normal etc, but I would like to commend him and the rest of the staff for taking the time to call back and try to stop me from worrying so much. My beloved Kodi had some sort of a GI infection and was scarily lethargic, so I needed to bring her somewhere ASAP.  Being new to the area, I was drawn to CoF's consistently 5 star reviews, but when we stopped by, the calendar was full and the practice does not accept walk-in appointments.  BUT, they do offer "drop off" service where the doctor could examine Kodi in between other appointments.  I just wouldn't get a face-to-face with the doctor.  Fine with me, since my priority was just to get Kodi examined and treated!As promised, Dr. Yasso called between 2 and 3PM (2.10P, actually), and let me know the prognosis and treatment.  An hour later, and Kodi is back in my arms with meds and already seeming a bit more upbeat.Per the other reviewers, the doctor and all of her staff seemed to genuinely love and care for every pet that I saw at the practice (both large and small), so I feel confident that I've found our vet in our new neighborhood! Dr. Yasso and her staff are the greatest thing that's ever happened to my dogs and me. Before I found Dr. Yasso, I went from vet to vet trying to find a perfect fit for my dog, Jake. Every vet I saw took one look at my 80 pound bundle of love and only saw a pit bull that was ready to attack. I would have to muzzle him before anyone would look at him. This breed discrimination had me feeling desperate and hopeless. A family friend recommended Circle of Friends and it was the best advice I've ever received. The staff instantly welcomed Jake and me but the best was Dr. Yasso. Instead of showing fear or hesitation to Jake's appearance, she sat on the floor and let Jake lick her face. He instantly loved her and she saw what everyone that knew Jake saw, a big love bug. As we talked, Jake rested with his head on her lap. I cried literal tears of joy on the drive home as we finally found our forever vet. Jake had every ailment you could possibly imagine so over the years we got to know Dr. Yasso and the staff very well (Mary could even recognize my voice over the phone:)). He became a pseudo celebrity as every staff member knew his name and seemed genuinely excited to see him. Each ailment was treated with love and I was always knew he was receiving the best possible care. At the age of nine, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Dr. Yasso saw Jake and I through his final illness. We started seeing a cancer specialist but Dr. Yasso would call me personally to give me advice and support. When Jake lost his battle, Dr. Yasso sent me a heartfelt letter that still brings me to tears today. I felt the entire staff felt my loss, some even asking for pictures of Jake to remember him. I will always be grateful for the care Circle of Friends provided Jake (and me).Today, Jake's pug/chihuahua brother, Brutus, and my new dog, Gertie, enjoy their vet visits. While I'm not there as often, these two are thankfully less ailment-prone, Brutus smiles at the staff in hopes of getting treats while my Gertie, a petite pit with the same kind heart as Jake, shyly loves everyone there. I've recommended them to all the animal owners I know and every person who goes falls in love too. No matter where I live in this world, my dogs and I will always come to Circle of Friends. Thanks for all your help!UPDATE: Tried to get an appointment for my dog with a growth that keeps bleeding and the soonest they have is three almost 4 weeks out. The lady who takes the appointments just always seems rude. Three weeks is too long. This facility is small and not up to date with technology, most stuff is sent out for results to come back. Been here a hand full of times and today I'm switching to a new vet. It's cheap here because you pay for what you get. It's better to spend the extra dollars going to a vet that's is with current times. Read Less

This Vet.. is hands down the best, they have saved my 6 year old American Stafordshire Terrier twice now. Once from some unknown swelling in his face, that consumed the left side from his nose into his eye roughly the size of a softball, and again recently from a very scary reaction due to some type of sting (possibly bee, wasp, or hornet) . Both the veterinarians (Dr. Russo and  the other gal, sorry I don't remember her name) are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about animals.  They get down on the floor every time we come in for a visit, whether it be an ear infection or another reason.  They always talk to Maddie like she is their friend and they just both really care about their patients.  I like that they take a culture of ear sample and test it before assuming it's bacterial vs. fungal.  In most cases for my dog, it's always been the latter because of her Golden Doodle floppy ears.  When she was a puppy (she is almost 5 now), I took her to a few other vets who would just look at her ear and treat it without testing to see they type of infection it was.  That obviously never resolved her infections until I went to Circle of Friends.   Unfortunately, sometimes you don't know a good vet from a bad one until you finally experience a good one like the vets her at C of F!   It's a bit far of a drive for me from Fullerton, but worth it.  The staff there is friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this vet over others. I love Dr. Yasso. Before my friend recommended Dr. Yasso, veterinary exams were a disaster. I had anxiety around the entire experience. My dog was completely traumatized by vets and vet technicians who would not take the time to examine a 'difficult' dog. He was labelled "a biter" at his usual vet, and the vet told me to put a muzzle on my dog, and to tranquilize him before coming in. It was a disaster. I couldn't figure out why these folks wouldn't take some time to deal with my Buster, a cute little half Lhaso, half poodle, who was only 20 lbs, and loved everyone. At my former vet, I was also used to waiting in the waiting room with at least 25 other people for hours. I tried Dr. Yasso on the advice of a friend, and what a difference. Her office was peaceful and lovely. She took our appointment right on time. She sat on the floor with Buster and treated him like a friend. Our 45 minute to an hour appointments have been spent with Dr. Yasso sitting on the floor with him, taking the time to ask me questions, getting to know and learn everything about him. Buster ended up letting Dr. Yasso examine every part of his body, even his mouth. She has advised me on every challenge I've had with him, and gave him the best most compassionate care he's ever receieved. He had some bad teeth, and she did some tooth extractions, and he recovered 100%. He was eating by the next day of recovery, and has had zero complications. I am entirely grateful to this special vet. I think she is gifted and has a special heart and ability for these wonderous creatures who we love so much and entrust to their caregivers. We have been so pleased with the care our cats have received here. The staff is friendly and attentive. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr.Yasso. I agree with all the other positive reviews in that she has an excellent bedside manner. She is definitely an animal whisperer. I cannot say enough good things about Circle of Friends and Dr. Yasso. I have been taking pets here for over 10 years and she is by far the best vet I've ever seen. First off, she's like an animal whisperer and so thorough. Animals are just drawn to her and so calm around her, so she is always able to do a very comprehensive exam. Sniffing ears and checking each part of them. She is also so honest and straightforward. Recently, my doxie started exhibiting some strange symptoms, I was so worried, I took him to an emergency vet over night. They wanted to charge me over $400 for labs and X-rays, but when I found out they didn't think he had anything life threatening, I decided to wait on testing until I could see Dr. Yasso. She saw him the next morning and through her physical exam could tell he had just strained a muscle in his back. No expensive tests or labs, just reassurance and some pain meds! As a worried owner, I would have paid whatever she asked. I recommend Dr. Yasso to everyone, even though she's a 30 minute drive from me, she is worth it!! We have been going to Circle of Friends for about 2 years now.  We were looking for a new vet because we had concerns about our dog's health (he is diabetic and our former vet seemed to be "guessing" on amounts of insulin and treatments for him).  We asked many friends for recommendations because we were not satisfied with our former vet.  Many, many people suggested CoF and Dr. Alison Yasso and we have been so pleased we made the change!To start with, Dr. Yasso is very kind, patient and works with each client/animal to their specific needs.  In a short time, with a few tests (and not too much cost), it was determined that our dog was getting 2-3 times more insulin than he needed (and would have been dead soon if it continued).  We made the adjustments, and he has been doing great ever since!Recently, we had to take our other dog in to Dr. Yasso.  He was almost 17 years old and it was, sadly, his time.  CoF got us in quickly, and Dr. Yasso and her staff were sensitive, compassionate and caring to both our dog and us.  We were with our dog the entire time, and Alison explained everything that would be done.  She gave of as much time as we wanted/needed before, during and after his passing.  It was a sad, but peaceful process that was handled with such kindness.We highly recommend Circle of Friends to you and yours! This is an amazing vet, I have been taking my dogs here (I've got 8 now) for over 12 years, I can not recommend them enough.  Dr. Yasso is one of kind in the way she communicates to both the owner and the animals, was a little worried when she was gone and had a different doctor but she was amazing too.  We love our dogs and feel there is no better place for them to go when they need a Doctor.  Btw the staff is always great too so kind and helpful! I had a bad experience with a vet when I first got my puppy, but I didn't realize just how terrible that vet was until I came to circle of friends and saw what a real quality veterinarian treatment is like! Dr. Yasso absolutely loves every dog that walks through her doors and is open to helping you and discussing every single question and thought you have. The staff is super nice and very gently with all the dogs that come in. My dog is very nervous and sensitive and when she is with Dr. Yasso she is calm and happy. They are pretty busy though so you have to make your appointments ahead of time. Also if you have a very skittish dog you might have to take your dog to a groomer to get their nails trimmed because they were unable to trim my dog's front paws since she was too nervous. Read Less
