this clinic is wonderful!! they came highly recommended by neighbors so we thought we'd try them out. you don't need an appointment.... just walk on in.... the office is clean and the staff extremely friendly. our dog is older and she suffers from allergies.... things got super bad when spring hit us and she needed some help. a quick check up, a shot, and a few meds and she is so much better!! follow up appts are free.... the doctors here are awesome!! Imperial Animal Clinic and Dr John Adam are the best! i have a 8 month old maltipoo and have taking her there since she was 4 months. I changed vets to Dr Adam when i had an emergency with her. My other vet sent me home and said I may have to take her to a 24 hour animal hospital later that night if she continued to vomit. At the recommendation of my son, who uses Dr Adam, I called him. He told me what to do and said I could call him that night and he would meet me at his clinic. He checked on her and kept her all day for observation and took great care of her. I decided right then to switch vets and have been very happy ever since! I love that I can bring my puppy in any time and they get us right in. My last visit with the senior Dr Adam was great too! My puppy swallowed something and they were able to retrieve it with an endoscope and she didn't need surgery. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I've had my dog for 13 years... I was in high school, she was 8 weeks old. She's been with me through every memory of the past 13 years of my life... grad school, getting married, moving into our first home with us.. It breaks my heart to see her aging, but when she started feeling sick last Friday night, I knew something was wrong.Saturday morning I called Dr. Mike (who has always taken such great care of her)... He did not hesitate to come take a look at her on a Saturday evening. She ended up needing immediate surgery, which he did that night.My husband and I were so worried and I was a mess... but Dr. Mike made us feel so well taken care of and he walked us through every step of the way. It's a great feeling being 100% comfortable handing your pet over to someone you trust is going to take great care of your baby. He helped my dog and went above and beyond in taking care of us too. I have gone to Dr Adams animal clinic for over 25 years and would not go anywhere else unless it was to see a referral vet for our cats. They listen,care and provide our pets with tender loving care. When I had a financial issue Dr. Adams helped by working with me. I needed to bring my cat in for evaluation for infection right after closing they stayed until I got there to provide care. I had really great experiences with all the vet docs here. they are really great with my dog who has some anxiety issues. The desk staff went through some changes it seems this past year and while those changes appeared to be negative things have been straightened out and they are once again operating a very efficient office. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK! The Father and son are a SCAM! It will cost your dog his health and your wallet $$$$$$. He charges 6 times the medications that you tell the doctor you will accept. I would not give even one star to these two crooks!! Dr. Adam senior uses his fake charm by greeting you and taking nicely with a smile.... But don't be fooled, he will tell you a bunch of things your dog has wrong and your pet will suffer!!!!! STAY AWAY! If you don't at least be smart, question his medications and diagnoses! Why the positive reviews boggles me!!! He uses charm and smiles and that makes pet parents think he is knowledgable - which in fact he is looking to over medicate your pets and put a huge bill on your hand! If I could take away stars, I would. My healthy, four year old dog went in for two ear stitches. The doctor insisted on sedating him and he died a horrible death 48 hours later. The doctor cancelled blood work and never bothered to find out what had happened to him. I didn't sign a consent to put him under. He didn't call me for 24 hours to tell me that the dog hadn't woken up or that there had been a complication. I had trusted these people with my sweet dog and he came back to me dead in a box. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Imperial Highway Animal Clinic. Dr. Adams, his son, and the rest of the staff have always given our two Golden Retrievers the best care. We were devastated when our current Golden Retriever was hit by a car, breaking her hip and causing extensive nerve damage. They did all they could to save her back leg, but finally had to amputate. Now we have a loving three-legged dog that loves to visit the clinic. We have never felt pressured to buy more meds or products than we needed; we love the staff and we like the fact that you don't need to make an appointment. I can't say enough about all the Dr.'s and staff at Imperial Animal Clinic!! I have been going there for 24yrs. My first rescue dog, Jessie, was 1 1/2 when I got him and started taking him to see Dr.Mike. Through the 16yrs I had him, I couldn't ask for a more caring, compassionate Doctor. Jessie had health issues as he got older. "Doc"always was there, yes, even in the middle of the night!! When it was "time" to let go---Doc was as caring as can be. I took my next rescue, "Ms Kinsey", immediately to Doc for her welcome home check-up. At that time Doc said she was closer to 7 or 8yrs old, not the 5 or 6yrs I was told. Doc kept her healthy the best anybody could. As she aged and also started having major health issues, Doc was always there, caring. As time got closer, I asked him how long. He said I would know. The "last night" was on a Sunday. I stayed up all night with her. The next morning when I brought her in for her last trip, Doc asked why I didn't call him. I told him I just wanted one last night before letting her go. We let her go out of her suffering then. I, because of Doc and his staff, was blessed to have her seven years. Now, having married a "cat" man, Doc and staff have been taking care of "Koko" for the last 6 1/2 yrs. She recently turned 17, and although age is creeping up, we know she is in the BEST of hands and care with all the caring Dr.'s and staff at Imperial Animal clinic. Read Less

I started coming to Imperial Vet clinic when I adopted Cody in April 2012. We also had two older dogs who got excellent care. One was diabetic and I was able to come in after hours when he had complications. We had to put Divya down on August 23 and Taz died of diabetic complications August 25. Dr. Adam and his staff have ALWAYS treated my animals with care, kindness and compassion. I have been using his services for almost 30 years over the lives of 5 of my own pets who lived to ripe old ages. I've also been there with the pets of my friends.
