We have been bring our fur babies to Dr. Payne since he began as a vet. He was successful in saving my brother's dog who had been misdiagnosed by our former vets. Since that time, we have followed him and his wife wherever they have practiced. Since opening Paws and Claws we have been faithful clients and have always recommended them to all our friends and family. The doctors have seen us at our high points and our lowest points and have always been honest, insightful and compassionate. I only wish they were "human" physicians because we trust them to give the best care possible. We tell our fur babies that they are going to see their "petiatricians". I can't say that they are real excited about it, but we know that they are getting the very best care from the staff and doctors. Read Less

Very friendly staff, and Dr. Windt is very helpful and nice. Also, blood tests are much cheaper than any of the other vets I've been to, and they do some testing in-house, so you get results quicker... I usually just wait around until it's ready. Place is always kept pretty clean, it's never too busy, and there is a patch of fake grass out front, for the dogs. Read Less

The environment is very calm for the pets and the staff is extremely polite and helpful. They truly care about the animals that come through. Doctors Glenn and Caroline Pyne and staff are awesome!  They have been caring for our beloved canines for over fourteen years and we wouldn't consider going anywhere else.  There have been tears shed as we have dealt with crises, but the vets and staff have always been incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable.  We could not ask for anything more for our precious dogs and we highly recommend Paws and Claws. dog needed routine vaccines. no problem there.He also had a hot spot on his leg from licking. Dr. says "oh I can take care of that" and took him away for 5 minutes. ("Oh, how nice", I thought, thinking she was including this in the office visit charge.Charged me $80 (no warning) to shave a 1-inch diameter spot and powder it.They're all about the money. I have brought my dogs to PNC for over 10 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. From the professionalism of the front desk staff to the three amazing and very experienced vets. Unfortunately, my latest dog, only 8 years old, has had a lot of issues with skin allergies and, most recently, losing his second eye due to genetic predispositions. This was a difficult and emotional decision for me to make. The vets at PNC will spend as much time as you need to explain a procedure, talk options, or give recommendations, all with your pets best interest in mind. Dr. G. Pyne explained how well dogs handled that type of surgery and how they easily adapt after losing their vision. I'm happy to report my dog is adjusting and, the best part, is seeing his tail wagging and knowing he's happy. PNC genuinely care about you and your pet and I can't rave enough about them. I have brought four cats and two dogs to this veterinarian group over the last eight years and I have found both vets to be exceptional in their diagnostic ability, their patience, and their kindness with my animals and myself especially when I have had to put them down. My lab, Malone, who I had to put down last Christmas has been cared for here for all 11 years of his wonderful life. From the day they neutered him, throughout his itchy skin years to the day they let me hold him while they put him down, they stood by me and protected him. They have taking care of my cats, including my youngest, Dante, who they neutered and chipped and helped me plan his diet. Phantom, my new American Bull Terrier, was spayed and chipped there. Everything was done with the utmost kindness and deference to both the owners and their pets. The receptionists have always been a delight to work with and I hope they continue to be so in the years to come. I will always bring my animals to this group.They are vets with heart. Read Less

My dog was sick and needed surgery, the vet that normally took care of her wanted to leave her alone at night with an iv running in a cage by herself, I could not do it, but then my friend said she always trusted Dr. Glen Pine and I went and he relieved the entire weight off my shoulders, he said no reason she can't go home and she should not have iv fluid with her heart condition she did so well, she was not even afraid of him on follow up, they are all so genuinely nice and gentle, my dog is not afraid to go to the vet. We've used Paws 'n' Claws for our pets for about a decade. Originally things were pretty good, but they have changed -- and not for the better. They sell pet medications -- and they aren't cheap. When I initially complained about this a few years ago, they agreed to price match prices from internet providers. They have now changed policy to only price match against two internet providers -- and they are the most expensive providers out there. This rating would have been higher if their practice hadn't decided that they need to make everything about the almighty dollar. Very sad! Read Less

The Doctors' Pyne are absolutely at the top of their profession. Not only are they caring and skilled, they're the most amazing diagnosticians around. House has nothing on them. Our three dogs, Shaka, Teddi and KC are thriving because of them. A former veterinarian misdiagnosed Shaka and her heart condition had gone undiagnosed. She had been put on a plethora of medications that were wrong and that were slowly killing her. Dr. Pyne took one look at her labs (which we brought from the other vet) and took her off most of her meds and she's a changed dog. He's also done surgery on our 120 lb Newfie mix Teddi and he came through with flying colors. We wouldn't trust our pets to any other practice! Read Less

Long wait times, terrible customer service, won't call back when they tell you they will. Wrong diagnosis, no apologies. Lose lab results and when, after a week goes by, you ask for a refund they won't give a full refund and won't give you the results. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Read Less

When I brought my kitten home from abroad and he needed everything done (shots, desexing, microchip, etc) we started looking for a new veterinary clinic to go to. The one that we had been to with most of our pets had expanded to a point where it was too large and impersonal. A family friend recommended this hospital, so we tried it out. This is everything we wanted from a vet hospital. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the veterinarians are experienced and flexible, and the building is always clean and orderly. This is easily the best vet hospital in Yorba Linda and I wouldn't think of taking my pets anywhere else. Read Less
