My dog took a blow, a hard one, suffered severe trauma, and was bleeding in all the wrong places. It was a Sunday and due to nothing being open on the coast, I drove two hours to this location, watching my pup watch me with patient, suffering eyes. I thought he was done, and bleeding out from the inside. I don't recall the name of the vet who saw me, but he was a Lab owner, a hunter, and had been practicing for 35 years. I'm a Lab owner, a hunter, and have been alive 39 years, so logically I could trust him.He took charge and quickly ruled out several scary things, shot some X-rays and was able to rule out a couple more. My stress level went from DefCon 5 (Let's Nuke North Korea) to maybe DefCon 3 (Negotiations Backed by Show of Strength). He was patient and to the point. He showed me what to watch for and how to check for internal bleeding, told me to rest my Lab for 10 days, and he'd be fine. This man now occupies the rarefied air of the Patron Saints and Michael Jordan. The front desk staff and the vet tech's were outstanding as well. They got me in with minimal wait, gave my dog a bowl and me a bottle of water, and were tolerant of my stress-induced incessant meth-head-esque chatter. My dog is back in the water and doing short hikes, and he's going to be fine. Thank you, you lovely, lovely people, for being good at what you do. Read Less
