I recently began taking my little Dublin (11 y/o Australian Cattle Dog mix) to Care Animal Hospital. It started because I needed a vet on a Sunday. I reached out to a friend who referred me to them. I will never see another vet again. Dublin and I saw Dr Gilbert on our first visit and we both fell in love with him! He was so caring and attentive, sitting on the floor with my little baby who was in for a little cough. We agreed on appropriate treatment, and I felt extremely comfortable with the road we were taking. Long story short, his cough progressed intensely and rapidly over the next week along with many other issues. The decision was made by me to end his suffering. We had our experience with Dr Gilbert again, and as hard as that day is for anyone who has ever lost a family fur member, I felt completely at ease with Dr Gilbert and the hospital as a whole. I recently moved to Colorado and after looking at reviews online I decided to try out Care Animal Hospital for my dog, Scout. The staff at the front desk could not have been any nicer. They even offer refreshments while you wait. Scout saw Dr.Gilbert and I can honestly say he is one of the best vets I have ever taken my dog to. It is evident that he truly loves his job and cares for the animals that he sees. Scout can get anxious in new situations, but he made her feel right at home. I am so happy I switched to Care several years ago. I've worked with almost every doctor there, and each has been wonderful. We most recently started seeing Dr. Gilbert, and he is absolutely terrific. He explains everything so thoroughly, and you can tell he genuinely cares. I've had some instances where my dog needed to get in ASAP for injuries on a couple different occasions, and they were able to get me in right away. This place is awesome! I started going here after Ward Road Vet clinic went away "quickly". They got us in very quickly and help me out so much with the questions (having two puppies at once) on what is good and bad for our pets. They have shown me how much love they have for the animals and that is my main concern, someone who loves the animals more then the paycheck. I would recommend this clinic in a heart beat!! After having a horrible experience with our last vet, I tried Care Animal after reading some of the reviews and the fact that they were close to my house. I am a very protective dog mom and take an active role in their healthcare. From the first phone call to our visit with Dr. Gilbert, it felt like they cared about my dogs. We have been seeing Doctor Gilbert with our little rescue, Benny the Spacedog. As new "parents", my partner and I were a little worried about making sure we brought Benny to the right place. Care Animal Hospital is TOP NOTCH. My little Cherrier loves to go here. Separate dog and cat entrances, which is super awesome, and the people up front are very friendly. I don't know name of everyone, but there was a really nice young lady with dreads that helped us on a particular occasion when Benny got into something and we had an emergency visit. We had to see Dr. Molliconi for the emergency visit. SHE was super sweet and very calm while we were losing our heads over what was up with Benny. They took him in RIGHT AWAY. We called at 6pm and came in at 6:10 Benny was on fluids by 6:11. Dr. M was very helpful in explaining all of our options as emergency care can run up bills rather quickly. We have a friend who is a vet tech and the Dr. took the time to speak to her about helping us as well. And they were really busy for a Friday night. Anyhow, superior service, superior follow through. I am absolutely and completely blown away at the care and services this clinic provides. I selected Dr. Paige Garnett as my veterinarian because I was referred by someone who knew she was great with cats. I had an FeLV+ positive kitten who also turned up FIP possibly positive. She was more than amazing with her help and care during my Moonshine's short but great life. He would seriously not have lived nearly as long if it wasn't for her. Since then, she has always been right there for issues I have had with my other two fur babies (cats). Not only does she really, really care about my kitties, she goes above and beyond for them, like no one else ever would. She has put up with me and my babies this far, which is enough kudos in itself, since we have put her through an emotional, mental, and medical roller coaster. Though my kids have been a real challenge for her, she has taken on everything with no hesitations. I could not thank her and the staff enough for everything they have done for me and my kiddos. They have countlessly worked me in for emergency appointments and have been nothing but lovely to work with. Dr. Paige Garnett is the best veterinarian I have ever met and worked with. I drive from Aurora to go to this clinic (45 mins) and it is worth every mile. I would not have it any other way and I will continue to go to Dr. Paige Garnett from now on! HIGHLY recommended. Our two-year-old shepherd mix had some nasty symptoms which appeared on a Friday and had worsened significantly by Sunday morning. Other nearby vets not being open on Sunday, and Care getting great reviews here and on Google, we took our dog to Care. The entrances/waiting areas for dogs and cats are separate--an example of the clinic's thoughtfulness. Without an appointment and with abbreviated check-in, we were in an exam room within 15 minutes. Vet Tech Mary behaved like a doctor: professional, calm, knowledgeable, empathetic, and able to answer our questions easily and confidently. Dr. Mitchell, as well, and the two treated our very timid, recently rescued dog with patience and caring through the unpleasantness of temperature check, heartrate check, palpations, and then intravenous hydration. A stool sample disproved possible causes of the symptoms; Dr. Mitchell prescribed an anti-nausea med and an antibiotic and (unprompted) asked for updates. Tapeworms--lots of them, and mature--had been thriving in our dog's gut, but no sign of them was apparent until the next day. I called Care and asked to speak to Dr. Mitchell. Without question or trying to answer mine, Dani (front office) put the doctor on the phone. She (Mitchell) listened carefully, and immediately prescribed a de-wormer. When I reached the clinic, I had other questions; I waited a few minutes, and the doctor came out of surgery and directly to me with answers. (She was pretty excited about the--disgusting--tapeworm samples I brought, and, in the fashion of a true scientist who loves her job, went to show them off to her colleagues.) With the medication, signs of the tapeworm infestation disappeared over the next few days, and in that time Care accepted our dog's previous vet record via email. We had an overall very good experience: open on Sunday, express check-in, genuine caring from staff, the doctor being available via phone and in person, the follow-up card they mailed--CVH did go above and beyond. I wavered between 4- and 5-star ratings, given that the doctor didn't detect the root cause of the symptoms, which were unquestionable the next day. I landed on 5, given that our dog's case was very rare: a heavy infestation with none of the usual symptoms unique to her condition. Going forward, both of our dogs will be Care clients. Read Less

These guys are the best! After being told my dog needed surgery, I went to Care for a second opinion. They made me feel a lot more comfortable by explaining what was going on with my dog. They then went over the treatment options with me and suggested a less traditional method with a much higher success rate. I felt so lucky to have a veterinarian who had delt with the same condition with his own dog and knew the best way to go about operating on my pup. This was a few years ago, and I've been going to Care ever since. Everyone I've referred has also had great luck with these guys. Couldn't recommend them any more! They are so helpful when I have questions and make every effort to fit us in if anything comes up that I'm worried about. When I was 12 years old, my parents put the responsibility on me to find the family vet for our new puppy.
