WONDERFUL! Came in to the emergency vet because our dog got a bone stuck around her bottom jaw, and they were so wonderful with how stubborn and panicked she was. We would have paid whatever it took to make our pup feel better, but we couldn’t believe how reasonable the price was to sedate her and remove the bone. We have used 7 Hills for emergency care primarily. They are always so kind and concerned about our furry kids. We feel confident any time we come in that the doctors and staff will care for our babies with the same concern they would their own. Twice, our emergencies have resulted in having to let our babies go, and the kindness of the staff has been incredibly appreciated. Other times, they have used common sense and helped us make reasonable decisions without making us feel guilty if we can't afford all the tests that might be possible. Terrible place. Brought my cat in for annual exam place wouldn't let me help keep her calm or help hold because it's their hospital policy. My cat freaked out when the vet and associate tried to hold her down just for an exam. Sent me home with medication to sedate and try again because they weren't able to do the exam. Went back again they told me walking in they were really busy and they would probably have to sedate my cat if they ran out of time. Never before have I had to give my cat any kind of medication to keep her calm at the vet. Wouldn't let me use my blanket I brought to lay her on. This place is just so unkind won't let owners help with their pets or use their stuff to help keep their pets calm. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you love your animal bring it elsewhere I did and I didnt have to drug my cat, she did just fine. Animals sense bad places and bad people my cat did. Read Less

Do not take your pet here. They will charge you lots of money and give you no results. And if you ask for clarification on some of the results given you will never get a response as the staff at the front is less than helpful, and the doctors are all busy at all times of the day. Just one question.... Last Sunday when I brought my dying dog into your award winning architectural building ... (Seizures) I was handed a clip board requiring $750 deposit that you required to proceed to save his life.. Which I did not have and repeatedly told you I had $147 !! ... Is that when you determined it was crucial he be euthanized? ??? After begging you to take everything I had (147.00) you Shamed ME for making him suffer and then handing my dying dog back to me??? Along with a bill for .... $147.87 Even adding $ 30 something.. Telling me it was a additional dose of Valium ... That I never requested.... Was that so he wouldn't wake up?? I have been going to Seven Hills for over 15 years and I agree they are costly. My cats primary doctor is Dr. Supon. She is direct, caring and very giving of information. I know she is going to have many suggestions/recommendations to help aid me in the care of my kids. She is my primary pick for health care for my babies although Dr. Ley and Dr. Demay are exceptional too. Selecting a vet hospital is always a difficult decision because let's face it, it always comes down to the money. I have paid less for better care and more for worse care at various clinics throughout my years as a pet mom. All in all I think they do a great job with my babies and will continue to use their services.... and once again, Dr. Supon, you rock!!! Read Less

I would be 5 stars but every visit seems expensive even though they're comparable to previous vet fees/costs. Anyway, the front desk staff knows what's happening, the techs are knowledge and great with my dogs, and the doctors are patient and caring. Excellent vet. We have a new puppy and the docs took great care of her, were friendly and informative, and addressed all our concerns. They also provided evening appointments so we could take our puppy in after work. Examinations were thorough and keeping the puppy calm and happy was a priority. I've been going to Seven Hills since I arrived in Colorado in 1986....with TWO large dogs. Dr. Ley has been my Vet ever since, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Each and every dog has happily thrived well into his teens. I generally like this place and it's nice to have the option in emergencies. In general they are expensive; especially emergency rates. But some things price out cheaper than other places. My pet and my experience varies on who we get. Most people are nice and helpful. A few not so nice or helpful. One vet had us scared into almost euthanizing my pet. A different vet came in and it was like everything was going to work out. Just remember there are no specialists here so they're advice can only get you so far. Read Less

My puppy had to be put down at the beginning of the month I was told it would take a week for him to come back. I called a week later and they said he hadn't come back yet so I have it another week. When I called the second time they had no clue where here was or where the paper work was and said they would have to call back. They called back and said he had been in the freezee for the past two weeks and that they would put a rush on the cremation. Another week goes by and still didn't here from them so I called again. When I called they said they had been busy and hadn't gotten to calling the owners. This would not have bothered me had it not taken three week to get my dog back. I don't feel like my situation was handled with care or respect. I do not recommend this vet hospital and will never go here again. I also wonder if my puppy could of been saved has they cared about helping him and not the cost! Read Less

The clinic I love (very good) is in Diamond Heights Shopping center in SF CA. I read other reviews (not good) for a clinic in Colorado with the same name. Dr Hazanow and the staff at Seven Hills in SF are wonderful. They saw my dog very quickly and gave me several options for her care. I will continue getting my animals seen at Seven Hills. Read Less

I have taken several animals to this vet and was always impressed with them. The past two visits were terrible and I wont be going back. I read several of the reviews on here and I must agree, they are a money pit. My daughters dog got sick, she's a college student that works part time so she was upfront with the vet and told her that money was a concern. The vet laid out a plan where the lowest estimate was $390 and the highest was $590. We only had the blood work and fecal tests done and the bill was $598 more than the highest estimate and not everything was done. While my daughter sat and cried over this the vet said "I will GIVE you some bland food to help him eat". What she meant was they would charge us $16. for 6 cans of food. She also kept pushing us to do x-rays and/or an ultrasound. Two days later we find out that the medication the vet put the dog on isn't the right med and now we have to go buy MORE medication for the dog. Not only that in the time between going to the vet and getting test results our other dog came down with the same thing. They have hook worms. She will not prescribe the correct medication for my other dog until I take him in and she does an exam on him to the tune of ANOTHER $60.00 plus whatever the meds are going to cost. I've been in twice in the past couple of weeks for two of my dogs - as sad & unexpected as it was one of them passed away. I was grateful and thankful for the care and compassion given to our little guy. The entire staff was so thoughtful and considerate to both our beloved little friend and to us not only at the time of this crisis but the days that followed. This place it absolutely terrible. I took my turtle there to get her nails cut, and a vet tech took my turtle from me and when they brought her back the vet tech said nothing to me and I had to ask them why my turtle was bleeding, the vet tech then says Oh yeah the turtle wouldn't hold still and she got clipped with the clippers you can bring her back free of charge if she keeps bleeding. So I go home and an hour later my turtle starts bleeding again. So I took her back right away and they got her hand to stop bleeding, the vet assured me that everything would be fine. A week later my turtles finger wasn't healing and I had to bring her back, when I was waiting in the room two vet techs were sitting at the computer complaining that people were still there and how annoying people are, then a differebt vet came in and told me that my turtles finger will fall off but it will grow back. Yeah it's been two months and her finger never grew back. I wish this wasn't real but it is, worst place ever. They make their faculty seem really nice but you have an incompetent staff. Never ever go there. I seriously went there to get her nails cut, took 3 visits and a now a disfigured turtle because of them. I feel guilty I put my pet through that and believe that the staff wasn't careful and mistreated my pet. With all these free visits they gave me it doesn't seem right, it just seems like they wanted to be nice to me so I wouldn't sue them. I take my cat to Smoky Hill and I haven't had any issues there, never take any pet to this place. I wouldn't even ask them for a band aid they are so untrustworthy.Read Less
