I heard good things about this clinic from everyone, and truly every time we stopped by everyone was pleasant and professional.
We took our 2 1/2 year old cat to this clinic about a year ago - she started vomiting 2x a day out of nowhere. After seeing a few members from this team, running bloodwork throughout the year, multiple visits, several phone calls in addition to those visits, my 3 1/2 year old cat is being euthanized today.
I was essentially told that it was IBD, but that since there is no cure for it we just had to find the right food for her. 6-8 week stints on different kinds of dry food purchased from the clinic (they do have a return policy if there is still food in the previous bag when it's time to switch, which is helpful). This clearly wasn't working, but every time we took her back in and we saw someone new, and retold the same story all over again, everyone said the same thing.
We ran new bloodwork 4 days ago, and all signs point to Lymphoma, intestinal bleeding, etc. She won't eat for the pain, has lost pounds off her that she didn't have to lose. I acknowledge that it's possible this could have happened even with the right testing at the right time, but I've watched her go from a happy, healthy animal to a sweet, sad, in-pain thing who is hungry, but won't eat.. who wants to be close to you for comfort, but can't do so without being in pain - a year of not treating a developing problem will kill an animal.
I've since read that recent research suggests that Inflammatory Bowel Disease, left untreated, can lead to Lymphoma. Simply being aware of any kind of research like this being done on such a widely-developing health issue in cats; having the ability to address such research and explain to me why it is or isn't valid - that's the expertise in a veterinarian I'm paying for and trusting in, and no one had it at this clinic.
I'm sure they really did believe this to be true and had the best of intentions, but I feel like that is more concerning - I trusted them to do their jobs and investigate while she was strong enough, and instead it was too late before I got testing done with someone else. It was a sudden and rapid decline, in a way.. but it took over a year to get to that point. I'm most angry at myself for trusting a process that clearly was failing my buddy. No matter how many people we saw here, I should have known to leave sooner.
Take a good amount of time to do your own research, and despite getting a second opinion from a second Dr at this clinic, be smart and go somewhere else if needed. I can't speak for any of their other services. Read Less
