If you are a person of color…do NOT trust this racist “clinic.” I am Mexican and I was verbally assaulted by the Vet and Secretary for arriving 10 minutes late to my appointment when I was coming from work. I had an emergency at work since I work in mental health, so I tried my very best to get to the appointment on time. I was told I had 15 minutes after my appointment time to get there before they turned me away, but they decided to verbally assault me, yelled to lecture about timeliness in front of other customers, and told me they couldn’t take me anymore because I was 10 minutes late. However, they BOTH continued to argue and belittle me for another 20 minutes. Obviously the time was not the issue. My brown skin color was and they thought they could talk down to me without repercussions. Well I’ve filed a complaint with the Colorado Board of Veterinary Medicine to make sure this does not happen again. I encourage you to do the same if you had a bad or unprofessional experience with this establishment.

So instead of helping us like they should have, on top of us being with them for 16 years they tell us sorry we can't get you in. REALLY!! there was one car in the parking lot I would have waited till they could squeeze us in. Instead we had to go to the community animal hospital in Thornton who were WONDERFUL but they weren't our vet. Plus the people are pup was used to. Very angry, disappointed and hurt with the overall service.

We took our 7 month old lab there for the first time for her spay. The staff was very friendly, and they kept her overnight for no extra charge. When I picked her up the next day they were just as friendly. We noticed when we got home that they had even trimmed her nails! I’m glad we found a good clinic close to home

I called to tell them we were coming, only to be told there were no appointments available. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO NOT ONLY A CUSTOMER, BUT A SUFFERING ANIMAL?? How can you tell me you would be glad to see her tomorrow? Luckily another vet got us in so she didn’t have to suffer. I used to tell everyone what a great clinic you were, and how the vets actually cared about my pets. I have never been so wrong. SHAME ON YOU!!

This clinic does not deserve any stars...I have 2 situations to attest to that statement. In 2000 when I brought my sons kitten in because she was getting thin, not eating. X-rays revealed she has ingested an tiny Lego, that yes my son had missed picked up an she found it apparently an ate it. We were told that a surgery costing $7000 needed to be done. At that time I didn't just have that kind of money readily available, broke my sons heart an mine an they judged me for not having that kind of money in my pocket lol, an were not willing to let me make payments so what were my options, we had to have the kitten youthinzed, to this day it hurts. Then 2 yrs ago to date I had to have our toy fox terrier put down because they told me there was no treatment to help him with the neuropathy that had developed an was debilitating his front right leg, it was like a tiny chicken wing. Let me tell you feeling your fur baby's heart stop is nothing you can ever shake the pain stings to this day, I am furious right now with this crappy clinic because I was told today that there were options that would've helped my toy fox terrier an hed be able to be here with us now. Planned pethood on Harlan St does procedures that he needed, I should've done more research am not trust what Brighton Animal Clinic said, so my point is that they only want money they really can care less if our fur babys are healthy or not an care less about how a pet parent feels. Bottom line go to Planned Pethood plus on Harlan St. You'll get professional real advice from them, so your loved pet can be healthy an live longer.

We have been going here for years. Today's visit was very disappointing. Took my two dogs for a check up. A nurse came in. Asked if I had concerns and I said yes and voiced them. She leaves another person comes in and takes my dogs back to get their shots and nails clipped. The nails were clipped so sharp my dog cut my skin when he jumped on me. Never saw a doctor. Even though I said I'm sure my Pom has a hip problem. And no one looked over my dogs. Was a waste of time. I can only hope they did give them the shots since the dogs were taken to another room and I didn't witness it. Very disappointed..

Dr. Osborne has been my dogs Vet since we moved to Brighton. She is amazing with him (Cooper) and me. I had never had a dog growing up, so I am a nervous dog owner. She always returns my calls even if it is for a silly question. She is also honest about what my Cooper really needs treatment-wise and does not try to get me to get additional services that are not needed. I would recommend her to anyone! I am just sad we moved and now she is too far to go to.

If I could give this place a zero stars, I would. I took my dog in to get some blood work done, as she had been eating but was still losing weight. My pup had been having some anxiousness from a move and I wanted her to be able to be a little calmer while getting adjusted, so I figured I would talk to he vet about medication as well. When I was greeted at the front desk they told me how skinny my dog looked and that she looked sickly (which was why I was there). They asked me how old she was, to which I answered that she was 11 years old. The vet tech walked up to me and told me that since she is 11 and so skinny to prepare myself because she FOR SURE has some type of CANCER and that it is going to show up in her blood work. They ended up giving her some puppy Prozac to help calm her nerves, which I was extremely happy with. However, when I was waiting for the vet tech to bring out the medication (Prozac), I could hear the secretaries talking in the back about how much money to charge me for her Prozac. They stated that the cost of the prescription was three dollars, but that the minimum they could charge me is $10. From there, the doctor instructed them to charge me $10. That is THREE TIMES THE COST. Why? Why? Why? I had cash, it wasn't like they had to run my card. To make matters worse, when I left, they said they would call me that same day with the lab results from her blood panel. I cried the entire way home thinking my poor girl had cancer, as the vet assistant had ASSURED me that cancer was the cause of my dogs anxiety and weight loss. An hour later, the clinic ended up calling me and telling me that my dogs lab results came back absolutely perfect, showing that she was completely healthy and the nurse on the phone even joked that she had such healthy results that she had 'puppy blood'.I have never been more appalled or upset by a visit to the vet.

Unbelievable!! My mother has been using the Brighton Animal Clinic for several years, so when she called me on a Saturday morning at 6:00 am very concerned about her sick yorkie I drove 45 miles to her house in Hudson and called the Brighton Animal Clinic at 8:00 am when they opened. I was informed that they do not take emergencies on Saturdays only scheduled appointments. I was personally outraged they would not see my mothers sick dog unless we plan the dog sickness and had an appointment. They can overcharge my mother for services during the week but cant be bothered with her sick pet on a Saturday morning. I then called my vet in town and drove the 45 miles back to town with the sick dog. At my vet clinic they informed me that the same procedure my mother paid 750.00 for 2 weeks ago would have been done at their office for 250.00. Not only did the overcharge her they cant even be bothered with her sick pet during regular business hours. Needless to say we will never step foot in the Brighton Animal Clinic again. They overcharge and do not care about animals. I would recommend that anyone that is looking for good veterinarian services look elsewhere. This place only cares about the all might dollar not about your pets health.

The different between life and death can be the family vet. Not the emergency vet - the family vet. The one that you trust for your animals to see and be treated well. Let me preface this with the fact that I went to vet tech school. I knew something was up when my in-laws called, crying because their cat was gravely ill.Well, let me tell you about a story of a veterinarian that wouldn't listen to owners:This Friday, my in-laws took their four year cat in to this clinic. He was acting weird, smelled kind of strange, and his abdomen was hard. Dr. Fernandez did an xray, put the cat under anesthesia, and did an enema, saying that the cats colon was full. When my mom in law questioned if he needed to do more tests, the vet denied that being needed. That's the first time I heard he was sick and got a call about this sick cat. They hadn't done ANY bloodwork. On an animal that wasn't eating, going potty, vomiting, and was drooling (a sign of nausea and/or extreme pain). So I was very upset. Combined with them not listening to her about the strange smell, putting him under anesthesia without anesthesia, etc. Something was wrong. It was late at night and the cat was still in pain. I told my in-laws to take him to my vet, who is open 24/7 and accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (this is a big deal). My vet was stunned that he hadn't gotten bloodwork, he was still sick, and he was barely alive. So he's back at this clinic again this morning and then, FINALLY, they take blood. What does he have? Severe kidney failure. They downplayed it to my in-laws and said "well, you can leave him here overnight but nobody will be here." as if they were supposed to let him die alone. So they took him home. They called me and I went over to their house and he was close to death. I called the ER and told them they were coming in. The ER saw the results and said he was off the charts. His kidneys were failing so fast, his liver was right behind it. My vet confirmed the suspicions that Dr. Fernandez did not do the basic bloodwork to determine this as being a bigger problem. Given that he graduated in 2011, he's got something to prove and won't consult other vets. I'm glad we didn't move our dog over to this clinic.

I have been going to Brighton Animal clinic for over a year now and I am very pleased. Dr. Osborne (hope I'm spelling that right) has been amazing. My dog has pretty serious allergies and a very neurotic dog mom (me). Dr. Osborne is always very helpful, gives me the best options as far as treatment (always keeping in mind that I am on a budget), and calls me back within an hour of me calling. She never jumps to the "oh you should definitely bring him in, he's sick." She will give me advice as to how I can try and treat whatever is going on at home, monitor him and then if nothing works, I would bring him in. I definitely recommend!

So I simply stated I needed to get my baby her rabies shot and she asks me if I've been there before and I said no. She then said "what did you say"? As if I said something g insulting to her. She then informs me they don't have anything available until the next day....okay...so a rabies shot takes like 2 minutes, all the employees were standing there on their phone but no one has 2 minutes to spare? Okay. Well I will get her fired because if this is how they treat humans just imagine how they treat your pets!!! DISTURBING

My dog recently had a back injury and they were able to get us in the day I called. We didn't wait for more than a few minutes and were taken back. The vet was very knowledgable and explained everything easily to us. We had the option of expensive imaging or to attempt medicinal treatment first; this showed me they aren't out to get as much money from you as possible. We were treated with respect and were encouraged to ask any questions. We were told to call anytime if we had questions. My family was treated with respect and friendliness. It's been 5 days and my dog is doing so much better! We paid before we left and my husband and I were pleased to have a fair and decent amount charged. This is our new veterinarian office!

only problem I have is the price, i asked to have a paws plan sent to me so i can look it over, they sent me a old one,a $50.00 difference, made my apt, paid and went home, worked 14 hours that day, no dinner and had a sick mom so i was in a rush to leave once done. I looked at the bill when i got home and it was no the price they sent me, i called and explained it and they siad it was my fault that i should have noticed it befor i left, i explained to them the situation i even gave the girl at the desk my brochure with the lower price and she never said it was the wrong price or anything! I called and asked for the manager and she was not helpful, long story short, it was obivious my fault i was sent the wrong pamphlet ! I asked if they could just credit the difference and I would pay the full prince next time as the pamplet they sent had a different price, nope, no go, had to pay it, was totally not happy and do not know if I will be returning, they sure did not make my first visit pleasant.

I have been going to Brighton Animal Clinic for many years. All of the veterinarians and vet techs are excellent! They are knowledgeable and very caring. They have always been wonderful to my dogs from the older dogs to my puppies. If I call with a question it is answered promptly. I live at least 45 min to an hour away in Lakewood, CO... and am happy to make the trip.... There are a lot of very good vets in Lakewood,,,, but my choice is to drive to Brighton where we have great relationship and I feel I get the best care for my dogs.I continually refer them and will continue to do so.

If you are a person of color…do NOT trust this racist “clinic.” I am Mexican and I was verbally assaulted by the Vet and Secretary for arriving 10 minutes late to my appointment when I was coming from work. I had an emergency at work since I work in mental health, so I tried my very best to get to the appointment on time. I was told I had 15 minutes after my appointment time to get there before they turned me away, but they decided to verbally assault me, yelled to lecture about timeliness in front of other customers, and told me they couldn’t take me anymore because I was 10 minutes late. However, they BOTH continued to argue and belittle me for another 20 minutes. Obviously the time was not the issue. My brown skin color was and they thought they could talk down to me without repercussions. Well I’ve filed a complaint with the Colorado Board of Veterinary Medicine to make sure this does not happen again. I encourage you to do the same if you had a bad or unprofessional experience with this establishment.

So instead of helping us like they should have, on top of us being with them for 16 years they tell us sorry we can't get you in. REALLY!! there was one car in the parking lot I would have waited till they could squeeze us in. Instead we had to go to the community animal hospital in Thornton who were WONDERFUL but they weren't our vet. Plus the people are pup was used to. Very angry, disappointed and hurt with the overall service.

I called to tell them we were coming, only to be told there were no appointments available. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO NOT ONLY A CUSTOMER, BUT A SUFFERING ANIMAL?? How can you tell me you would be glad to see her tomorrow? Luckily another vet got us in so she didn’t have to suffer. This clinic does not deserve any stars...I have 2 situations to attest to that statement. In 2000 when I brought my sons kitten in because she was getting thin, not eating. X-rays revealed she has ingested an tiny Lego, that yes my son had missed picked up an she found it apparently an ate it. We were told that a surgery costing $7000 needed to be done. At that time I didn't just have that kind of money readily available, broke my sons heart an mine an they judged me for not having that kind of money in my pocket lol, an were not willing to let me make payments so what were my options, we had to have the kitten youthinzed, to this day it hurts. Then 2 yrs ago to date I had to have our toy fox terrier put down because they told me there was no treatment to help him with the neuropathy that had developed an was debilitating his front right leg, it was like a tiny chicken wing. Let me tell you feeling your fur baby's heart stop is nothing you can ever shake the pain stings to this day, I am furious right now with this crappy clinic because I was told today that there were options that would've helped my toy fox terrier an hed be able to be here with us now. Planned pethood on Harlan St does procedures that he needed, I should've done more research am not trust what Brighton Animal Clinic said, so my point is that they only want money they really can care less if our fur babys are healthy or not an care less about how a pet parent feels. Bottom line go to Planned Pethood plus on Harlan St. You'll get professional real advice from them, so your loved pet can be healthy an live longer.

We have been going here for years. Today's visit was very disappointing. Took my two dogs for a check up. A nurse came in. Asked if I had concerns and I said yes and voiced them. She leaves another person comes in and takes my dogs back to get their shots and nails clipped. The nails were clipped so sharp my dog cut my skin when he jumped on me. Never saw a doctor. Even though I said I'm sure my Pom has a hip problem. And no one looked over my dogs. Was a waste of time. I can only hope they did give them the shots since the dogs were taken to another room and I didn't witness it. Very disappointed..

Dr. Osborne has been my dogs Vet since we moved to Brighton. She is amazing with him (Cooper) and me. I had never had a dog growing up, so I am a nervous dog owner. She always returns my calls even if it is for a silly question. She is also honest about what my Cooper really needs treatment-wise and does not try to get me to get additional services that are not needed. I would recommend her to anyone! I am just sad we moved and now she is too far to go to.

If I could give this place a zero stars, I would. I took my dog in to get some blood work done, as she had been eating but was still losing weight. My pup had been having some anxiousness from a move and I wanted her to be able to be a little calmer while getting adjusted, so I figured I would talk to he vet about medication as well. When I was greeted at the front desk they told me how skinny my dog looked and that she looked sickly (which was why I was there). They asked me how old she was, to which I answered that she was 11 years old. The vet tech walked up to me and told me that since she is 11 and so skinny to prepare myself because she FOR SURE has some type of CANCER and that it is going to show up in her blood work. They ended up giving her some puppy Prozac to help calm her nerves, which I was extremely happy with. However, when I was waiting for the vet tech to bring out the medication (Prozac), I could hear the secretaries talking in the back about how much money to charge me for her Prozac. They stated that the cost of the prescription was three dollars, but that the minimum they could charge me is $10. From there, the doctor instructed them to charge me $10. That is THREE TIMES THE COST. Why? Why? Why? I had cash, it wasn't like they had to run my card. To make matters worse, when I left, they said they would call me that same day with the lab results from her blood panel. I cried the entire way home thinking my poor girl had cancer, as the vet assistant had ASSURED me that cancer was the cause of my dogs anxiety and weight loss. An hour later, the clinic ended up calling me and telling me that my dogs lab results came back absolutely perfect, showing that she was completely healthy and the nurse on the phone even joked that she had such healthy results that she had 'puppy blood'.I have never been more appalled or upset by a visit to the vet.

Unbelievable!! My mother has been using the Brighton Animal Clinic for several years, so when she called me on a Saturday morning at 6:00 am very concerned about her sick yorkie I drove 45 miles to her house in Hudson and called the Brighton Animal Clinic at 8:00 am when they opened. I was informed that they do not take emergencies on Saturdays only scheduled appointments. I was personally outraged they would not see my mothers sick dog unless we plan the dog sickness and had an appointment. They can overcharge my mother for services during the week but cant be bothered with her sick pet on a Saturday morning. I then called my vet in town and drove the 45 miles back to town with the sick dog. At my vet clinic they informed me that the same procedure my mother paid 750.00 for 2 weeks ago would have been done at their office for 250.00. Not only did the overcharge her they cant even be bothered with her sick pet during regular business hours. Needless to say we will never step foot in the Brighton Animal Clinic again. They overcharge and do not care about animals. I would recommend that anyone that is looking for good veterinarian services look elsewhere. This place only cares about the all might dollar not about your pets health.

The different between life and death can be the family vet. Not the emergency vet - the family vet. The one that you trust for your animals to see and be treated well. Let me preface this with the fact that I went to vet tech school. I knew something was up when my in-laws called, crying because their cat was gravely ill.Well, let me tell you about a story of a veterinarian that wouldn't listen to owners:This Friday, my in-laws took their four year cat in to this clinic. He was acting weird, smelled kind of strange, and his abdomen was hard. Dr. Fernandez did an xray, put the cat under anesthesia, and did an enema, saying that the cats colon was full. When my mom in law questioned if he needed to do more tests, the vet denied that being needed. That's the first time I heard he was sick and got a call about this sick cat. They hadn't done ANY bloodwork. On an animal that wasn't eating, going potty, vomiting, and was drooling (a sign of nausea and/or extreme pain). So I was very upset. Combined with them not listening to her about the strange smell, putting him under anesthesia without anesthesia, etc. Something was wrong. It was late at night and the cat was still in pain. I told my in-laws to take him to my vet, who is open 24/7 and accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (this is a big deal). My vet was stunned that he hadn't gotten bloodwork, he was still sick, and he was barely alive. So he's back at this clinic again this morning and then, FINALLY, they take blood. What does he have? Severe kidney failure. They downplayed it to my in-laws and said "well, you can leave him here overnight but nobody will be here." as if they were supposed to let him die alone. So they took him home. They called me and I went over to their house and he was close to death. I called the ER and told them they were coming in. The ER saw the results and said he was off the charts. His kidneys were failing so fast, his liver was right behind it. My vet confirmed the suspicions that Dr. Fernandez did not do the basic bloodwork to determine this as being a bigger problem. Given that he graduated in 2011, he's got something to prove and won't consult other vets. I'm glad we didn't move our dog over to this clinic.

I have been going to Brighton Animal clinic for over a year now and I am very pleased. Dr. Osborne (hope I'm spelling that right) has been amazing. My dog has pretty serious allergies and a very neurotic dog mom (me). Dr. Osborne is always very helpful, gives me the best options as far as treatment (always keeping in mind that I am on a budget), and calls me back within an hour of me calling. She never jumps to the "oh you should definitely bring him in, he's sick." She will give me advice as to how I can try and treat whatever is going on at home, monitor him and then if nothing works, I would bring him in. I definitely recommend!

So I simply stated I needed to get my baby her rabies shot and she asks me if I've been there before and I said no. She then said "what did you say"? As if I said something g insulting to her. She then informs me they don't have anything available until the next day....okay...so a rabies shot takes like 2 minutes, all the employees were standing there on their phone but no one has 2 minutes to spare? Okay. Well I will get her fired because if this is how they treat humans just imagine how they treat your pets!!! DISTURBING

My dog recently had a back injury and they were able to get us in the day I called. We didn't wait for more than a few minutes and were taken back. The vet was very knowledgable and explained everything easily to us. We had the option of expensive imaging or to attempt medicinal treatment first; this showed me they aren't out to get as much money from you as possible. We were treated with respect and were encouraged to ask any questions. We were told to call anytime if we had questions. My family was treated with respect and friendliness. It's been 5 days and my dog is doing so much better! We paid before we left and my husband and I were pleased to have a fair and decent amount charged. This is our new veterinarian office!

only problem I have is the price, i asked to have a paws plan sent to me so i can look it over, they sent me a old one,a $50.00 difference, made my apt, paid and went home, worked 14 hours that day, no dinner and had a sick mom so i was in a rush to leave once done. I looked at the bill when i got home and it was no the price they sent me, i called and explained it and they siad it was my fault that i should have noticed it befor i left, i explained to them the situation i even gave the girl at the desk my brochure with the lower price and she never said it was the wrong price or anything! I called and asked for the manager and she was not helpful, long story short, it was obivious my fault i was sent the wrong pamphlet ! I asked if they could just credit the difference and I would pay the full prince next time as the pamplet they sent had a different price, nope, no go, had to pay it, was totally not happy and do not know if I will be returning, they sure did not make my first visit pleasant.

I have been going to Brighton Animal Clinic for many years. All of the veterinarians and vet techs are excellent! They are knowledgeable and very caring. They have always been wonderful to my dogs from the older dogs to my puppies. If I call with a question it is answered promptly. I live at least 45 min to an hour away in Lakewood, CO... and am happy to make the trip.... There are a lot of very good vets in Lakewood,,,, but my choice is to drive to Brighton where we have great relationship and I feel I get the best care for my dogs.I continually refer them and will continue to do so.
