Absolutely love our vet! We just moved to the area from Missouri and have had a continuing issue with our Cavalier King Charles. Our Dr. is knowledgeable about every step and has been precautionary about jumping to any conclusions. She’s worked not only for the health of my dog but also for my own benefit too. Great vet for bunnies! Some vets I have been to haven't been very knowledgeable about rabbits, but the ones at Broomfield are great. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful as well. I took off one star because they charged extra for an "emergency appointment" the next day, it seems kind of predatory to me. We took our pet hen in for an eye issue and had good results with the antibiotic Dr. Targoff gave her. A few weeks later we had to unfortunately say goodbye to our beloved rescue dog after 10 incredible years. Dr. Targoff was very compassionate and patient with my husband and I as we were a wreck in the room. The front office staff were also so understanding and sweet. We then got a beautiful card in the mail with a lengthy message from the Dr. himself. These folks really care about the animals and the owners, and the prices they charged me for all services were much less than other Broomfield vets we have gone to. Read Less

Went to see Dr. Targoff after adopting from COHRS. The staff was able to take a look at my other sick bunny as well (his usual vet was out of town). Dr. Targoff was very friendly and reassured my that my bunnies were both healthy and on the road to recovery. He was very good with the bunnies and I look forward to returning! Read Less

Brought in my Guinea pig and had to bring him in about 6 times which cost over $600. They kept saying he would get better but he ended up dying in my arms the day after the last visit. I will not bring any of my animals here because it seems they just want the money. I hated seeing my animal go through this pain with no help. Read Less

Dr. Guerrera did surgery on my hedgehog recently and i cannot be more grateful. Surgery& anesthesia on little guys is tough, i was very nervous. She is recovering great so far. We came to this vet after two really bad experiences in a row with two different vets. From the moment we walked in, I was confident that this vet would be a much better fit! The facility is modern and clean and my dog Otis seemed much more comfortable. He went into the exam room without a hitch. Dr. Fredericks was fantastic--professional, friendly, and great with our pup. We've had a few experiences since then just as great. Otis gets occasional tummy upset--he likes to get into things she shouldn't. During his last tummy upset the clinic and the vet tech worked with us to get a plan going at home we could try. I loved that they didn't urge us to come in and do expensive tests and get expensive medicine but still made us feel supported with a great get well plan. To me, that demonstrates commitment to animal care. I would highly recommend this vet! Read Less

I brought my conure Maui to have her first check up today. We saw Dr. Miller, who was actually fantastic with our precious little bird. She was very knowledgeable, and sweet. I was told I could make payments with my dogs surgery. When I went to pick him up they stated I couldn't pick up my dog unless I paid the full amount. They went in the back and I could hear then talk about me and the receptionist Mandy was very rude and kept asking about which card I would use. I've been with them for a bit and always paid them. They made me feel like a number and didn't even say anything about the care of my dog and how he did. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL....THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY. Read Less

Took my dog there because he couldn't walk. The vet (female) was really pleasant and caring. Immediately advised me of possible internal bleeding and referred me to a specialist same day. I got in the specialist at no time and no wait, they were called ahead and waiting for us. I also called Broomfield vet same day for emergency appointment and they got me in right away with a 5 minutes wait time. Sadly i had to euthanize my dog due to tumor and cancer but I appreciate the care and urgent diagnosis in my dog's care. This is my first time with them but surely I will make them my primary vet now. Read Less

Thought my 25.5 year old cockatiel had a tumor or cyst coming out of his ear. Was very worried. BVH was very flexible with getting him in to be seen and Dr. Guerrera was wonderful with Rudy (he's normally hesitant to have random men hold him lol). Got the blockage which wasn't anything serious removed and Rudy handled his visit better than I thought he would! He seemed comfortable with Dr. Guerrera and his staff. Dr. Guerrera has been treating my rescue bun Luna for the last few months. Luna has severe chronic foot abscesses from a prior neglect situation and was deemed "untreatable" by three vets. Dr. Guerrera immediately had a plan of action and he and his staff (shout out to technician Eve, who is also great!) have been wonderful and professional in dealing with her on a weekly basis. Luna underwent medicinal maggot therapy and is moving towards clear feet. She's actually able to binky now, is putting on weight, and is generally a happier camper. Reasonably priced, willing to work around my own ridiculous schedule as a vet tech, and overall a pleasure to work with. 10/10, would recommend to anyone! Thanks BVH! Read Less

This is a first class operation...their new building is bright and nice. I wish I could find a people doctor like this place. The Dr. was super sweet. The follow through was amazing. They obviously care about what they are doing. I had to wait 15 minutes and they must have apologized five times. Dr. Miller did a quick check on my 10 year old beagle. Because my dog yelped when she pressed its tummy, she offered her a shot for pain during the x-ray. My dog whimpered behind closed doors while I was left in an animal examination room for an hour. When I went to pay, I was billed for sedation and anesthesia for x-rays! What's worse is that my dog has been yelping in pain for two hours since we left there. My daughter and I thought my dog might have to be put down. But, I feel like I've been lied to and my dog's suffering exploited in hopes of gaining a few more hundred bucks on my return trip. There won't be one. And, now I have to figure out what the truth of Katie's condition really is. Read Less

Called this vet office after mine that my family has been using for 34 years wouldnt get my sick 14 year old dog in. They had no problem getting us in the same day. In fact we got there and they actually had an emergency walk in that they took without question. Which meant our appointment was pushed back but i didnt mind. Just shows me that they will nit turn people away because they are booked. I will be switching all 4 of my animals to this place now. Thank you for seeing jasmine today. We truely appreciate it. I have a dog with a possible foreign object blockage. My dog is lethargic, vomiting, having diarrhea, and no appetite.  I showed up right when they opened. They refused to let me drop off my dog because I'm new to the area and have not established them as my vet. I had to go to work but more scared that my dog might die since she ate part of a rug a week ago and is still vomiting and having diarrhea. Receptionist said the earliest appointment was 9:15. Had to find another vet asap because scared that my dog might die. So, if your a current patient, good news, your dog might not die. If your a new patient, too bad your dog will die. Read Less

Our rabbit Ozzie has unfortunately had some health complications with his head tilt and GI issues. We have seen Dr Guerra and Dr Miller many times over the past 5 or so months along with Eve, the head vet tech. All three of them have taken excellent care of our little Ozzie, and we are lucky that they are local! The only problem we have had was that one time we weren't sent home with enough medication for our rabbit. After a quick call they fixed everything free of charge. I LOVE this veterinary hospital! I have been taking my rabbit to Dr. Guerrera for almost 2 years now and he is AMAZING. He is kind, knowledgeable and he knows how to handle exotic pets. We recently got a puppy and he is being seen by Dr. Fredricks who is also great! She is kind and gentle with our puppy. Outstanding place and service! The building itself is a bit rustic. But the Staff are very competent, our Vet has always been honest with us and takes good care of our Birds. He educates us when we have questions or concerns and you can tell he really cares. His nurses are great to! They even use a EMR (electronic medical record) for each patient and document each visit very thoroughly. To me as someone who works in healthcare, I was just a bit surprised they aren't still on paper and that they use an EMR. I recommend this place to any one. Not sure what the recent 1star review is about from Caylee. Sounds like some entitled, "I expect the best of everything at every second" type. Some times people make mistakes, we are all human. I trusted Dr Guerrera but had a terrible tragedy with my 8 year old rabbit.  The Dr insisted my rabbit had minor digestive issues when his organs were in fact failing.  I came back at least 5 times times expressing my concerns about the rabbit's health and behavioral and weight changes.  My rabbit died on the exam table.  Too little too late and very devastating. After moving our 3 rescue rabbits to Denver from a place where I knew we had the best in rabbit care, I was nervous about finding a great rabbit veterinarian. What a relief to find Dr. Guerrera!
