Absolutely love Dr. DeAngelo and his staff. He is very knowledgeable, and won't make you feel bad about yourself if you decide that extreme levels of intervention are not appropriate for your animal. So many people will push an animal to the limits of interventions and rehabilitation resulting in extraordinary levels of pain and misery. I greatly appreciate his respect for an owners decision on what is best in regards to the care of an animal who is suffering. I have cared for numerous horses under his guidance and successfully rehabbed all but one. If you live anywhere in the Falcon/Peyton/Elbert/Elizabeth/Calhan/Simla area, this is the vet you need to go to. We've tried several small animal vets and Dr. DeAngelo takes the cake. Their prices are very reasonable, their staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and I liked him much better than other vets in either Elizabeth or Kiowa. Had to stop using them because DR. DeAngelo only cares about getting your money. He repeatedly tried to add things that the animals don't need. He thinks he is an animal dentist and is not! He thinks acupressure is acupuncture which he did on horses without asking if I wanted it done and charged me for it.
