Being new to the area, I had not yet had the time to scope out all the new services and things one does when you relocate. So when my little buddy, Jack, started to decline, I did a cursory search and opted to take him to the closest vet - which was Aspenwood. Now, it is never fun introducing yourself to a new place during a bad time, but sometimes it happens that way. So I called in and they were able to fit him in right away. Sadly, turns out things were not going well for my little guy (16 year old cat that had been losing weight and had other issues for a while) but the staff at Aspenwood were thorough in their exams and taking some of the tests little at a time so we didn't overdo it for him or for my bank account. In the end, it was best to say good bye to Jack, which sucked, but Dr McCarty, Sherry and Roxanne were all wonderful, supportive and made the extremely difficult process as easy as it could be. They explained everything to me, made sure I understood what all was going on and took care of me and Jack. I can't thank them enough for everything they did, their attitudes and for really seeming to care about my pet. They will remain my vet for my dog and I will gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinarian. Read Less
