Went in to get my little dogs teeth looked at and a quote to get them removed. Very friendly experience from the front desk to the tech to the dr. The Dr actually took the time to listen and let us ask questions and was nice to my dog.
The quote was expensive 650-1100 range for teeth removal which is the only reason for 4 stars not 5.. but we they were so nice we might still get operation done here. Given pain meds and antibiotics for my dog and Dr was generous with both. I was choosing between a bunch of different places and came here because of the good reviews.
**** Edit 6-4-18-- am a bit upset though as they charge 36$$ for a bag of iv fluid that costs like 10 bucks. We had to bring our cat in and have surgery. They were great with our cat and we ran out of iv fluid. I was told to come pick more up. It was a 36 dollar charge. I looked it up and this stuff costs like 13$.

I came in with my Pomeranian for a routine check and shots.He loves it there because the staff and the doctors treat him like family instead of just a pet. I also brought my poodle in for a summer shave, shots, routine check-up and to have her ears cleaned. They treat her also like she is not just a pet. They know I think of my dogs as family. I have asked a lot of this practice over the years and they always come through for me. As far as I am concerned they are the greatest veterinary practice I have ever been to in 35 plus years of having dogs. I have known Dr. Fernyack since forever and she knows who to hire to be vets in her practice. The other two vets there are top notch and both professional and the nicest people you would ever want to meet. They treat your dogs like family. If you have a dog or cat do not hesitate to go there. They way they care about you and your animal is beyond compare!

Dr. Bruewer and the staff at Bear Creek Vet recently performed emergency surgery on my dog. They rescheduled all remaining appointments and got my pup in right away as soon as it was diagnosed. Ruby has been home for a few days and she is already back to her normal self again.
The price was very reasonable considering the circumstances and the care and professionalism were second to none. Highly recommended

The staff at this office are all amazing. My cat Mr. Kitty Man had an abscess on his stomach and I had to go out of town for a family emergency, so I had them keep him for 4 days while I was gone, they took such good care of him and they even took pictures and sent me email updates so I knew he was ok. I appreciate the hard work they do here and they truly make you feel like your animal is important and not just another number. I recommend Bear Creek Veterinary Care to anyone who has an animal.

We have been using Bear Creek for several years. They have been able to get us in promptly, which has been great. There was an incident, mostly poor communication ,about the procedures for my poodles teeth cleaning. They were apologetic and made an effort to correct the misunderstanding. However, on our last visit they totally dropped the ball on our dogs ear infection. They said they were going to treat his ears with antibiotics in lanolin. I have seen this treatment on a friends dog and it is obvious when the lanolin was in the ear. . When I looked in my dogs ears there was nothing. Talked to them on the phone and they said not to worry. Well, my dogs ear did not improve at all and I don’t believe he ever received the treatment. We are going elsewhere.

I absolutely love this veterinary clinic. Being a Veterinary Technician I only want the best of care for my babies and this place provides that. I love the doctors and the entire staff. They really care about their patients and very calm and gentle with them. They are very friendly and are always happy to see Aspen, fatcat, crayola, and gizmo anytime they come in. I have been using this clinic for going on 6 years now and always recommend them to anyone wanting a good veterinarian with a high standard of care. They are the best in the Springs and will continue to use them as long as I have furr babies. Love you guys and very thankful you are the ones taking care of my family members.

I love this clinic! My pets see Dr. Bruewer and she’s always wonderful with them. One of my dogs can be a handful and she was very patient with him and was very understanding with his personality. If there is a problem one of my pets she goes through all the possibilities and tests we can run, that are strictly for my approval. I never feel pressured or treated poorly there. Dr. Fernyak doesn’t even see my pets, but whenever I come in is asking how they are doing and seems like she genuinely cares about them. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone knowing I was sending them to an excellent clinic!

I love this clinic. The service you receive is nothing short of outstanding. The receptionists are always so polite, the vet techs are so kind and the doctors really know their stuff. I love a doctor that doesn’t talk at you but to you, they explain everything so thoroughly and they’ve never made me feel like I’ve had a stupid question. It’s not cheap and it’s not expensive (for those who are saying it’s too high priced). It’s your average priced clinic. I don’t believe any of the poor reviews, you’ll see why I don’t if you actually go there and meet everyone.

It is now over 3 weeks later and I have yet to receive a single call. At this point, your facility has stolen money from me and I will be in soon to request a refund. In addition, the bill states that we will be receiving an email giving us information about the PET ID CARD, and have yet to hear anything on that subject either. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT ADVISE ANYBODY TO WASTE THEIR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS FACILITY, I HAVE SINCE BEEN TO BIJOU ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND HAVE RECEIVED MUCH BETTER CARE THAN THIS FACILITY PRETENDS TO PROVIDE.

I am leaving their practice. I have had to debate this over the last year because of sky rocketing prices. Last year it cost me $1500 to have 2 teeth cleanings and a couple of tooth extractions on my geriatric dog and this morning I was quoted up to $1200 to HAVE ONE TOOTH EXTRACTED ON MY 12 year old fur baby. Although they are compassionate I can't cover their overhead with each of my visits, and trust me, I visit them a lot. I am that crazed pup mom who covers everything! I practice "people medicine" for a living and operate a private practice as well, so if anyone understands the difficult balance between business and practice, it would be someone like me.

I was new to Colorado Springs and needed a new vet for my two dogs. I saw this one was well-reviewed and took my dogs in for their shots and a check up. The whole process was very quick there was no waiting and to get both dogs checked out I think took less than 30 minutes. Both the staff and the doctor were very friendly and informative and despite being taken to the vet I think my dogs enjoyed the experience. I'll definitely keep coming back here for my dog care needs.

This vet clinic is paramount of all vet clinics. I have never come across vets that care more than Bear Creek. I've had other vets that "couldn't fit us in" for a serious condition. I have had vets that made us sit while they BS'd with other people (we could hear through the walls). But Bear Creek supports us. We have a very sick dog that won't be with us much longer and Bear Creek makes us aware of how they care about us. Even though they are 35 miles away from our home we will always go to Bear Creek.

I have received nothing but the absolute best service from this establishment for several years. From the front office, to the vet techs and Vets, the entire staff is amazing. They are informative, educated and compassionate. Their hours are great and you can get an appointment very easily. After my animal had to be put down (we used an at home service) we received a call within days sending prayers and love. I would take my animals no where else but Bear Creek.

As I posted earlier, we are new to the Colorado Springs area. We have a large dog and two cats. We loved our prior vet in another state and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find another who would come close. Well, I did. Dr. Van Valin is great. She spends a lot of time with you, and more importantly, your pet making sure they are comfortable! Last week I brought one of our kitties in for the first time and she was so comfortable she just laid there on the table purring. That hasn't happened before!!

Just moved to the area and had a great vet back where I am from. These folks were right down the street and were a bit more upscale in terms of others in the area. I made just a regular check up to meet the doctors and make sure my one year old pup was in tip top health. I met with doctor April who you could immediately tell loved her job. The way she communicated and introduced herself to Rocket it was clear she wasn't just an animal doctor but an animal person. The entire staff that I met, in fact, smothered my wonderful puppy with love and attention and made us both feel welcome and at home. They were very attentive and informative and I would recommend them to anyone seeking the utmost professional care in an environment that is really relaxing for your furry loved ones. As long as I am in town I will be calling these wonderful people my vets.

This place is great! The staff truly cares about your animals. My family dogs went here when I was growing up. Now I have a pup of my own and I wouldn't take her anywhere else. They know my dog by name, when I walk in I'm sure my dog feels like Norm in "Cheers" because everyone says hi to her. I can typically get a same day or next day visit whenever. Highly recommended.

My vet was Dr. Kevin Lisenbee. He is great!!! My Louie has not been eating and has lost a huge amount of weight. Dr. Lisenbee gave me some thoughts on what could be wrong and immediately started blood work. He then called me personally and explained the results and options for what could be done.
I read some of the reviews and I personally don't feel this clinic tried to swindle me in any way, ALL medical care comes at a cost and it would be crazy to think that your pets are exempt from these costs. It is what it is.
The staff was wonderful as well, I told the woman at the front desk that my cat threw up in his carrier and she got up without any hesitation and offered me coffee and came in to clean the carrier! I had a great experience even under a really stressful time.

All three doctors at Bear Creek (Dr. Van Valin, Dr. Lisenbee, and Dr. Fernyak) went above and beyond with our dog, Anson. During his last week, Anson spent most of his time at the clinic and the staff gave him so much love and attention. Cheerful faces greeted my husband and I as we visited multiple times/day with tissues ready (they knew mama needed them!), and never made us feel we were overstepping our welcome. Bear Creek Vet made one of the worst weeks of our lives bearable with the amount of compassion every employee showed. I don't believe Anson could have gotten better care anywhere else, and we will certainly be back when we are ready for pet parenthood again!

We won't go anywhere else. Dr. VanValin is fantastic, and technician Kristen is awesome! They take great care of all of our fur kids. I trust Dr. V and any suggestion she makes, hands down. Everyone here is always pleasant and happy to help, especially when we brought a tri-pawed Pugle into our lives. Dr. V took time out of her busy schedule to come say hello when we brought him in for a vaccine booster, and he loved every second of the attention. Best vet in Colorado Springs.

We visited Bear Creek Vet on the recommendation of two friends, and we are so glad to have found them! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the doctors are truly excellent. We originally took our little dog in after an incident at the Dog Park, and they fixed her right up- even if they were busy and we weren't even clients yet. We felt so guilty about what had happened, and they put our minds at ease and made sure our little gal was OK. Later, we took our old arthritic hero in for laser treatments, and they have really put a spring in his step. Hooray for Bear Creek Vet-- we won't go anywhere else!!!

My dr spent a full hr with my dog, she answered every question she gave me so much info that no other vet has. Not only that i was on the floor with my dog and the vet sat on the floor to talk to me instead of at me!! If i could give more than 5 stars i would!!!

Went in to get my little dogs teeth looked at and a quote to get them removed. Very friendly experience from the front desk to the tech to the dr. The Dr actually took the time to listen and let us ask questions and was nice to my dog.
The quote was expensive 650-1100 range for teeth removal which is the only reason for 4 stars not 5.. but we they were so nice we might still get operation done here. Given pain meds and antibiotics for my dog and Dr was generous with both. I was choosing between a bunch of different places and came here because of the good reviews.
**** Edit 6-4-18-- am a bit upset though as they charge 36$$ for a bag of iv fluid that costs like 10 bucks. We had to bring our cat in and have surgery. They were great with our cat and we ran out of iv fluid. I was told to come pick more up. It was a 36 dollar charge. I looked it up and this stuff costs like 13$.

I came in with my Pomeranian for a routine check and shots.He loves it there because the staff and the doctors treat him like family instead of just a pet. I also brought my poodle in for a summer shave, shots, routine check-up and to have her ears cleaned. They treat her also like she is not just a pet. They know I think of my dogs as family. I have asked a lot of this practice over the years and they always come through for me. As far as I am concerned they are the greatest veterinary practice I have ever been to in 35 plus years of having dogs. I have known Dr. Fernyack since forever and she knows who to hire to be vets in her practice. The other two vets there are top notch and both professional and the nicest people you would ever want to meet. They treat your dogs like family. If you have a dog or cat do not hesitate to go there. They way they care about you and your animal is beyond compare!

Dr. Bruewer and the staff at Bear Creek Vet recently performed emergency surgery on my dog. They rescheduled all remaining appointments and got my pup in right away as soon as it was diagnosed. Ruby has been home for a few days and she is already back to her normal self again.
The price was very reasonable considering the circumstances and the care and professionalism were second to none. Highly recommended

My cat Mr. Kitty Man had an abscess on his stomach and I had to go out of town for a family emergency, so I had them keep him for 4 days while I was gone, they took such good care of him and they even took pictures and sent me email updates so I knew he was ok. I appreciate the hard work they do here and they truly make you feel like your animal is important and not just another number. I recommend Bear Creek Veterinary Care to anyone who has an animal.

We have been using Bear Creek for several years. They have been able to get us in promptly, which has been great. There was an incident, mostly poor communication ,about the procedures for my poodles teeth cleaning. They were apologetic and made an effort to correct the misunderstanding. However, on our last visit they totally dropped the ball on our dogs ear infection. They said they were going to treat his ears with antibiotics in lanolin. I have seen this treatment on a friends dog and it is obvious when the lanolin was in the ear. . When I looked in my dogs ears there was nothing. Talked to them on the phone and they said not to worry. Well, my dogs ear did not improve at all and I don’t believe he ever received the treatment. We are going elsewhere.

They really care about their patients and very calm and gentle with them. They are very friendly and are always happy to see Aspen, fatcat, crayola, and gizmo anytime they come in. I have been using this clinic for going on 6 years now and always recommend them to anyone wanting a good veterinarian with a high standard of care. I love this clinic! My pets see Dr. Bruewer and she’s always wonderful with them. One of my dogs can be a handful and she was very patient with him and was very understanding with his personality. If there is a problem one of my pets she goes through all the possibilities and tests we can run, that are strictly for my approval. I never feel pressured or treated poorly there. Dr. Fernyak doesn’t even see my pets, but whenever I come in is asking how they are doing and seems like she genuinely cares about them. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone knowing I was sending them to an excellent clinic!

I love this clinic. The service you receive is nothing short of outstanding. The receptionists are always so polite, the vet techs are so kind and the doctors really know their stuff. I love a doctor that doesn’t talk at you but to you, they explain everything so thoroughly and they’ve never made me feel like I’ve had a stupid question. It’s not cheap and it’s not expensive (for those who are saying it’s too high priced). It’s your average priced clinic. I don’t believe any of the poor reviews, you’ll see why I don’t if you actually go there and meet everyone.

It is now over 3 weeks later and I have yet to receive a single call. At this point, your facility has stolen money from me and I will be in soon to request a refund. In addition, the bill states that we will be receiving an email giving us information about the PET ID CARD, and have yet to hear anything on that subject either. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT ADVISE ANYBODY TO WASTE THEIR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS FACILITY, I HAVE SINCE BEEN TO BIJOU ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND HAVE RECEIVED MUCH BETTER CARE THAN THIS FACILITY PRETENDS TO PROVIDE.

I am leaving their practice. I have had to debate this over the last year because of sky rocketing prices. Last year it cost me $1500 to have 2 teeth cleanings and a couple of tooth extractions on my geriatric dog and this morning I was quoted up to $1200 to HAVE ONE TOOTH EXTRACTED ON MY 12 year old fur baby. Although they are compassionate I can't cover their overhead with each of my visits, and trust me, I visit them a lot. I am that crazed pup mom who covers everything! I practice "people medicine" for a living and operate a private practice as well, so if anyone understands the difficult balance between business and practice, it would be someone like me.

I was new to Colorado Springs and needed a new vet for my two dogs. I saw this one was well-reviewed and took my dogs in for their shots and a check up. The whole process was very quick there was no waiting and to get both dogs checked out I think took less than 30 minutes. Both the staff and the doctor were very friendly and informative and despite being taken to the vet I think my dogs enjoyed the experience. I'll definitely keep coming back here for my dog care needs.

This vet clinic is paramount of all vet clinics. I have never come across vets that care more than Bear Creek. I've had other vets that "couldn't fit us in" for a serious condition. I have had vets that made us sit while they BS'd with other people (we could hear through the walls). But Bear Creek supports us. We have a very sick dog that won't be with us much longer and Bear Creek makes us aware of how they care about us. Even though they are 35 miles away from our home we will always go to Bear Creek.

I have received nothing but the absolute best service from this establishment for several years. From the front office, to the vet techs and Vets, the entire staff is amazing. They are informative, educated and compassionate. Their hours are great and you can get an appointment very easily. After my animal had to be put down (we used an at home service) we received a call within days sending prayers and love. I would take my animals no where else but Bear Creek.

We loved our prior vet in another state and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find another who would come close. Well, I did. Dr. Van Valin is great. She spends a lot of time with you, and more importantly, your pet making sure they are comfortable! Last week I brought one of our kitties in for the first time and she was so comfortable she just laid there on the table purring. That hasn't happened before!!

Just moved to the area and had a great vet back where I am from. These folks were right down the street and were a bit more upscale in terms of others in the area. I made just a regular check up to meet the doctors and make sure my one year old pup was in tip top health. I met with doctor April who you could immediately tell loved her job. The way she communicated and introduced herself to Rocket it was clear she wasn't just an animal doctor but an animal person. The entire staff that I met, in fact, smothered my wonderful puppy with love and attention and made us both feel welcome and at home. They were very attentive and informative and I would recommend them to anyone seeking the utmost professional care in an environment that is really relaxing for your furry loved ones. As long as I am in town I will be calling these wonderful people my vets.

My vet was Dr. Kevin Lisenbee. He is great!!! My Louie has not been eating and has lost a huge amount of weight. Dr. Lisenbee gave me some thoughts on what could be wrong and immediately started blood work. He then called me personally and explained the results and options for what could be done.
I read some of the reviews and I personally don't feel this clinic tried to swindle me in any way, ALL medical care comes at a cost and it would be crazy to think that your pets are exempt from these costs. It is what it is.
The staff was wonderful as well, I told the woman at the front desk that my cat threw up in his carrier and she got up without any hesitation and offered me coffee and came in to clean the carrier! I had a great experience even under a really stressful time.

All three doctors at Bear Creek (Dr. Van Valin, Dr. Lisenbee, and Dr. Fernyak) went above and beyond with our dog, Anson. During his last week, Anson spent most of his time at the clinic and the staff gave him so much love and attention. Cheerful faces greeted my husband and I as we visited multiple times/day with tissues ready (they knew mama needed them!), and never made us feel we were overstepping our welcome. Bear Creek Vet made one of the worst weeks of our lives bearable with the amount of compassion every employee showed. I don't believe Anson could have gotten better care anywhere else, and we will certainly be back when we are ready for pet parenthood again!

We won't go anywhere else. Dr. VanValin is fantastic, and technician Kristen is awesome! They take great care of all of our fur kids. I trust Dr. V and any suggestion she makes, hands down. Everyone here is always pleasant and happy to help, especially when we brought a tri-pawed Pugle into our lives. Dr. V took time out of her busy schedule to come say hello when we brought him in for a vaccine booster, and he loved every second of the attention. Best vet in Colorado Springs.

We visited Bear Creek Vet on the recommendation of two friends, and we are so glad to have found them! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the doctors are truly excellent. We originally took our little dog in after an incident at the Dog Park, and they fixed her right up- even if they were busy and we weren't even clients yet. We felt so guilty about what had happened, and they put our minds at ease and made sure our little gal was OK. Later, we took our old arthritic hero in for laser treatments, and they have really put a spring in his step. Hooray for Bear Creek Vet-- we won't go anywhere else!!!

I have been changing vets for the past few years since my husband and i pcsed here in july of 2012. Anyway i found this place on yelp and gave it a try and i absolutely love them. My dr spent a full hr with my dog, she answered every question she gave me so much info that no other vet has. Not only that i was on the floor with my dog and the vet sat on the floor to talk to me instead of at me!! If i could give more than 5 stars i would!!!
