Was so kind to help me on short (emergency) notice with my severely sick cat Charlie- On a Saturday no less! Mr. Mohr was spot on with his diagnosis and very well may have saved his life as he was 105.4 fever and in acute pancreatitis. His blood level came back 9 times normal for that test. He is doing well now thanks to Dr. Mohr and Black forest vet clinic. (This was last week) I cant express how compassionate and kind Dr. Mohr has been to us over the years. I am glad he is back to work a couple times a month at least! He is a gift to animals and a great man. We were blessed to get to see him when we were in dire need as he only works every other Saturday from what I understand.

We went for a second opinion on surgery for our dog. They concurred with our regular vet but did a much better job of explaning why she needs surgery, other options, what happens if we don't do the surgery. I was very impressed and highly recommend them. The exam was actually cheaper than our regular vet clinic.

Fantastic experience! Took my pupper here for a check up and to have her inflamed ear looked at. We waited no more than ten minutes to be seen and were the recipients of such exceptional service. The price was very reasonable, and we even got $25 off our visit because we were referred by a friend. They really seemed like they cared for the well-being and happiness of my best friend!

Pretty disappointing experience. Have been taking my pets to Black Forest Vet for 10+ years, and the recent changes have been frustrating. My dog required an ear surgery, costing $700, and required follow-up visits to change bandages. The first bandage change cost an additional $31 and fell off of him 10 minutes after we left. Was told to return today to get the stitches removed, only to be called 10 minutes after arriving home after getting the stitches removed to be informed that he actually wasn't supposed to have the stitches removed today and that I need to be very cautious with bandages and not take them off. I asked if he could see the vet to assess his ear since they made an error and was told I could but it would cost $60 for an exam. I'm not feeling that my pets are safe at this clinic - the vet tech I saw didn't seem to know what she was doing, and after they made an error with my dog's post-surgical care, they weren't willing to make it right. I have enjoyed this practice in the past, but most of the great staff and care that was there before is gone. I am taking my pets elsewhere.

So grateful for the consistency in care of Black Forest Vet for our two dogs. Black Forest Vet has fair prices and are timely and attentive to our dogs needs. When one of our dogs passed, even though we did not bring him here for his final passing, the entire staff each wrote a handwritten note of condolences on a card and mailed it to our family.

Very unhappy with what I went to take in a litter of my puppies to go get their tails and dewclaws removed it wasnt where the vet showed me where she was going to dock the Tails it was completely different from where she actually docked the tail and I brought the puppies home and their tails we're not docked correctly whatsoever and then when I called to let them know how the puppies are doing and to let them know that I was unhappy and the girl at the front was extremely rude about it I'm very unhappy and they just lost my business completely, it completely sucks due to the fact that me and my mother are breeders and we will not be bringing any of our litters of puppies here.

Being a military family I saw many veterinarians over the years. No one ever compared to Dr. Mohr's knowledge, caring and expertise in treating animals.
I will not take my precious pets to anyone unless he recommends a specialist in regard to cancer etc., which he never hesitates to do.. You will never doubt his judgement or recommendations.

We had been bringing our dogs here for a few years...never had any issues until now. We called to try and get one of our dogs in, he was in severe pain and could barely move. We were told by the receptionist that she would talk to the Dr. Our dog had been seeing and see if we could get in for a 2 pm appointment or at least see if they could refill a prescription that he had been on. We never got a call back and have had to take him to another vetinary office. We won't be bringing our dogs back here anymore.

Horrible experience ever! When I walked in, the place smelled like dog urine. It was a hot day, they didn't have the A/C on, no fans blowing, no water bowl for the animals in the waiting area. We were on time and ended up waiting 30 minutes after our appointment before they called us. My dog had a growth on her paw and they poked her with a needle to take a blood sample, after that, she was bleeding, they just gave me a tissue to cover it up to stop the bleeding, they didn't even clean her paw or put a little bandage on. Dr. Alex said that he'll look at it and will come back in about 5-10 minutes. 15 minutes later after waiting in that hot room, his assistant said to go into the waiting room and wait. He comes out and tells me his advise, I said do you mind if I call my fiancé and you can also tell him, he said that I would have to wait or he would call "her" later today. I corrected him and said "him", he said "sorry I got confused". WTF?! Horrible customer service. I was waiting in the waiting room and went to the front desk and asked if I could pay so I can take my dog home, she's been panting the whole entire time and she said that I need to wait until they release me. 10 minutes later his assistant told me the same thing Dr. Alex told me and I said ok can I be released because I really need to take my dog home, she said I just released you. So all in all, that took almost 2 hours for a total of 15 minutes worth of them seeing us. Dr. Alex said he would call that night, didn't get a call for a few days. I didn't even answer. By that time I took my dog to a better vet that took fantastic care of us. Do not recommend this place at all. This place didn't look clean one bit. Their rug in front of the door looked super dirty and covered in piss.

Their prices have always been below what I've found elsewhere and I would recommend anyone who has a beloved pet to take them there! They will be taken care of amazingly by their fabulous vets and staff :-)

Was so kind to help me on short (emergency) notice with my severely sick cat Charlie- On a Saturday no less! Pretty disappointing experience. Have been taking my pets to Black Forest Vet for 10+ years, and the recent changes have been frustrating. Horrible experience ever! When I walked in, the place smelled like dog urine. It was a hot day, they didn't have the A/C on, no fans blowing, no water bowl for the animals in the waiting area. We were on time and ended up waiting 30 minutes after our appointment before they called us. My dog had a growth on her paw and they poked her with a needle to take a blood sample, after that, she was bleeding, they just gave me a tissue to cover it up to stop the bleeding, they didn't even clean her paw or put a little bandage on. Dr. Alex said that he'll look at it and will come back in about 5-10 minutes. 15 minutes later after waiting in that hot room, his assistant said to go into the waiting room and wait. He comes out and tells me his advise, I said do you mind if I call my fiancé and you can also tell him, he said that I would have to wait or he would call "her" later today. I corrected him and said "him", he said "sorry I got confused". WTF?! Horrible customer service. I was waiting in the waiting room and went to the front desk and asked if I could pay so I can take my dog home, she's been panting the whole entire time and she said that I need to wait until they release me. 10 minutes later his assistant told me the same thing Dr. Alex told me and I said ok can I be released because I really need to take my dog home, she said I just released you. So all in all, that took almost 2 hours for a total of 15 minutes worth of them seeing us. Dr. Alex said he would call that night, didn't get a call for a few days. I didn't even answer. By that time I took my dog to a better vet that took fantastic care of us. Do not recommend this place at all. This place didn't look clean one bit. Their rug in front of the door looked super dirty and covered in piss.

I took my 17 1/2 year old cat and she had a bad tooth. Dr Mohr was excellent, pulled her tooth, gave her a shot and sent home antibodics. He also clipped her nails. He was so good with her she actually slept on the way home. I will go back to him and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Dr. Mohr!

I have had nothing but incredible experiences here - most recently I had to bring rat in on super short notice and they squeezed me in and spent extra time doing everything they possibly could to help...
I have had nothing but incredible experiences here - most recently I had to bring rat in on super short notice and they squeezed me in and spent extra time doing everything they possibly could to help her and were more affordable by hundreds of dollars than other places. I'd recommend it to anyone!!

I have had noting but amazing experiences with Black Forest Veterinary...they go out of their way to help you. When you go there, it feels like they are just there to help - not to get your money. Their prices have always been below what I've found elsewhere and I would recommend anyone who has a beloved pet to take them there! They will be taken care of amazingly by their fabulous vets and staff :-)
