I would highly recommend this vet to anyone. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Bond is knowledgeable and thorough. I have always received a follow-up phone call, after appointments, to make sure everything is well and that all of my questions have been answered. Moved to Colorado Springs two years ago and received a very nice letter from this vet. Had an emergency one Saturday and had to get an appointment quickly. The staff were excellent got me in quickly, Dr Holcomb and the technician were extremely knowledgeable, kind and explained every stage of my dogs treatment. I can recommend this vet with the highest marks! I moved to Colorado with a five year old rescue dog who was afraid of everyone / everything. The staff and veterinarians were very caring and understanding. They were patient and loving and now my dog LOVES to go there. This place is phenomenal!!! We were bringing in our new adopted kitty and they were having their roof replaced, so extremely noisy, they took us to an office that was in the back area and away from the noise right away, so as not to traumatize our baby. They were all super attentive, kind, considerate and treated us and our baby like we were special. They explained everything and told us about all of our choices, great communication from the whole team. Afterwards they showed us their new areas that they are remodeling and what their plans were, super impressed! We have decided to make them a permanent part of our baby's health care, we couldn't ask for anything better, wonderful, wonderful people and our baby agreed, she wasn't stressed and actually enjoyed her time there! I can wholeheartedly recommend this vet! Their sensitivity and caring for our Manx was better than we could have hoped! Alongside us, they struggled to preserve and extend our cat's life and buy him more time. When the time came (a year ago), though, they were incredibly sensitive, answering my many questions, and they gave us as much time as we needed. They had real tears, too. I liked going here. The office staff was delightful, and the Vet and Assistants were knowledgeable and personable. They helped our pup with ear infections and correctly suggested I change his bag of dog food when he was continually sick for a while. Still, I had a friend recommend to me a place that was "way more affordable" more southern Springs. However, when I went to the other place, they were more expensive! Love the staff and the service, however service and great people can't hide the fact that they have an aggressive nature to up sell  when it comes to diagnosis and nessacary prodecures. I have had the unfortunate experience where four different exrays  were said to be nessacary . Over $60 a piece! A second time it was recommended that several tests of the same nature were needed. Each time over $50 each. Neither situation came to any less than $500, after visit, lab, medication fees etc. Each time I was given information as to the total costs, which they do a very good job of up selling to ,and each time I left without feeling my pet had been given complete care, because I simply could not afford it all.If they could just stop with the upsell tactic and focus on making sure the patients leave satisfied that they were given the best care , it would go a very long way!Hope to give them a 5 star review in the future! We found Briargate Blvd. Animal Hospital 3 years ago, 3 days after moving here when my dog injured his leg in our new backyard. They got us in the same day and worked with our Vet in Virginia to ensure all his records got transferred quickly for a comprehensive exam. Dr. Brace is wonderful and offers my pets the best care. She always calls with results promptly, explains everything to make sure I understand options and recommends products/services based on what my dog needs. I highly recommend Dr. Brace and team. I am new to  Colorado and they were very welcoming. I've had different vets since I've gone and they are all patient and detailed. They work with you on appointment scheduling. They took us in one day when I had an emergency with my cat right away. They all know your pets names and seem to really care about each pet. And most of all you don't feel like they just wanna take your money. They give you all options and accept all let insurance. They give little treats and cute packets with info in it for you. We have been bringing our dog, Buzz, to Briargate Blvd Animal Hospital since we first brought him home as an 11 wk old pup. Not having had a new puppy for many years, Dr. Holcombe and staff helped us figure out the right course of care for our new dog and have helped us out tremendously in understanding the specific health needs of the breed. We have had everything from routine vaccines administered, to treatment for parasitic infestations, to microchipping, to treatment for a skin condition and other small health needs for our dog completed here. Whenever we visit, the staff greets Buzz by name and are all smiles. We typically do not have to wait long to see the tech (5 mins tops) and the doctor is usually in shortly after. There are toys out in the wait room for my kids to play with if they don't wish to go into the exam room with Buzz, but if my kids are there, the doctor will let them listen to their dog's heartbeat with the stethoscope - they just love this. Overall, Briargate Blvd Animal Hospital stands out above the rest because they are warm & friendly, comparatively & reasonably priced, and most importantly they are knowledgeable and really try and 'educate' their pet parents about the course of care that may be best for your pet.
