I have been going to Carefree Animal Clinic since December 1995 when I moved to Colorado. I chose him by location at first, but once I continued my visits, he was definitely the one that cared for my dog and cats. When my Pomeranian was slowly dying at 13, we did not give up, tried everything, his assistant in 1998, Dee, donated her own dogs blood, my dog lived another healthy 4 years to 17. Dr. Regnier was extremely caring to my charismatic dog, hugging him and had wet eyes, we did not give up. Those things I never forget. Since then, he has seen two more of my current dogs and remaining cats. They know my pets extremely well, and there is no hesitation to bring them in, even if they are booked. When we leave from an appointment, Dr. Regnier has a dog treat and has my dogs sit and do a trick. He and Priscilla, the current assistant, are like personal medical assistants, having our needs taken care of in a professional, accurate, timely, and caring manner. She calls me in advance if I need a reminder. The cost is perhaps the lowest of all vets in the area. It is a clinic, not a hospital, but they do whatever they can and follow up to make sure they are healthy and I am happy and free of worry. Their euthanizing is very compassionate, with hugs and true sorrow, and payment is not taken from me until I return for the ashes and urn.
