I have a special needs dog who was injured prior to us adopting him. As soon as the doctor, Gretchen Kasameyer walked in, she began to tell me all of the things we should have done. She had and still has no idea what our back story is. She didn't ask, she was completely unforgivably rude and unprofessional. I answer questions all of the time about his health since it is an obvious handicap. I'm used to people making assumptions and even being rude but from a vet, it was totally out of line. Taking the best care of familu fur babies since my late mothers dogs in the '90s. Drs Bloss and Kasamayer and staff are skilled, very competent, caring and compassionate. They have saved 2 of my dogs lives. They have been with my furry family from beginnings to respectful endings. There care runs deeply to the community. Would recommend them from my heart. PS They are really the very best. I'm no longer in the neighborhood and am happy to drive 30 minutes to see them. Again , straight forward, no pressure, easy vibe, the staff is the best, the vets kind and skilled. They love animals here, it's not just a job. My dogs are always comforted and helped. And I've been comforted when I was fairly stressed myself. While you are there make sure to pick up a bar of soap for humans, or paw balm, that is craftmade by a client and proceeds go to their Angels Paws Fund. It's delightful. Read Less

Love this place. We moved about 30 minutes away and have vet's offices and hospitals literally a minute away but we drive down here because they are amazing and they show they really care. A small vet with nice and knowledgeable staff and doctors. The only draw back for me has been the very long wait times I've experienced on several occassions even though I had an appointment. Could be that I was there on busy days or they could be understaffed. Read Less

They were able to get me in as a new client within an hour and a half after calling that morning. The doctor was very honest about my sick cat and laid out all of the options without trying to pressure me into spending money we don't have on treatment that might only prolong our cat's pain. She also answered all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed to get on to her next patient. Its not the newest, fanciest looking vet hospital, but the pricing was reasonable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Read Less

I was really impressed with the care at Cheyenne Mountain Animal Hospital. Dr. K was very attentive even though my concern was minor. She spent extra time with Laverne and I and clearly loves animals. She and her staff even called me on several occasions to update me on concerns I had about a tick I found on my dog. After 30 years of practice, she remains an active learner/researcher who will go the distance to resolve your pet's issues. And she is as good with anxious owners as she is with sick animals. I only came to this hospital because I went over the reviews and it seemed like a great place. But If I could give this hospital no stars I would. They shouldn't even be open. I went in there yesterday with my cat because I've been noticing issues with him. When I got there they were really nice and eventually brought me to the room with my cat and we went over what was bothering him. The vet couldn't make up her mind on what she wanted to treat him on, from anemia to pesticides to a liver disease or liver failure. Every question I said I did not get the answer I wanted nor did it help the situation. We finally agreed on doing blood work. So they took my cat in the back and then everything went south. They took my cat back there and then told me that I should go wait in the main lobby for him and the results, so I listened and went into the lobby and after some time passed they brought me back my cat and the vet herself told me that she did not have the time to look at the results and that I should just go home and she'll call me later, BUT! It's a very serious condition what my cat has. How can a doctor/ vet break down a little bit of what wrong with my baby and then tell me to go home she'll call me when she has time..?! And on top of this, she tells me this in the main lobby. This place is the most disrespectful and unprofessional hospital I have ever been in. If you're thinking about bringing your pet here I strongly advice against it. I don't care about the prices I care about meeting a vet who I am comfortable with and that seems to care about my babies. But I did not see any good out of seeing this vet because when they handed me the report card yesterday, EVERYTHING was noted as healthy, healthy healthy. Weight was normal teeth and gum were clean blah blah blah. When in reality my cat had black tar on his teeth his gums were changing color and he was EXTREMELY underweight. They do not care about the animals treated they only care about the income. If they cared they would done a better job. I also had my roommate go in and collect all of my cats paperwork because I'm taking my cat to a different vet tomorrow and the repceptionist had the heart to whisper under her breathe "Jesus f*ckig Christ ".
