This is a great place to bring your pet for excellent care.  Dr. Whitmore is so very caring, and her staff is wonderful.  Everyone truly loves the animals, and I never feel rushed.  They answer all questions and spend whatever time is necessary to make you feel comfortable.  They follow up very quickly with lab results or if they just want to check on how the pet is doing after a procedure.  My dog LOVES to visit! My wife and I highly recommend the Companion Animal Clinic. This vet clinic is one of the best in town. We have brought nine dogs to this clinic over the years and every visit has been terrific. Dr Whitmore is compassionate, caring, highly experienced and, most importantly, loves animals like they all are her own. Her vet techs, Kristi and Janet, are outstanding in their knowledge and service. And her front office is handled superbly by Sarah. They form a terrific team. We are consistently impressed with how well they handle everything...from injuries, to illness prevention, to overall health and fitness advice. This is our "go to" clinic. Best Vet office ever! Dr Susan is such a compassionate person,with both the animals she treats and their owners. She has cared for all of our dogs (more than a few) for over 20 years with numerous and varying conditions ranging from simple skin rashes to pancreatitis, diabetes, and most recently diagnosing and helping us through TLPO surgery to repair our dog's torn ACL and Meniscus. She is so congenial with all of the animals she cares for that our dogs don't really mind going to see her. We really love that she is practical in her diagnosis and advice, and frugal in her prescriptions; never ordering useless tests or medicines. She is empathetic to end-of-life care, and has cried with us over losing a pet more than once. The staff is tops as well, knowledgeable and always pleasant and helpful. Dr. Whitmore and her staff are incredible. Each and every time I end up bringing my cattle dog to Companion, they show the utmost care and compassion. It is evident by how my dog responds to Dr. Whitmore every time she greets him in the exam room. It is great talking with Dr. Whitmore about the pup because she cares about him just as much as I do. When something presents itself causing me to bring him in, she talks through various options and presents her thoughts as if the dog is hers, which is always appreciated. I can't speak for other vets throughout the Springs, but I will say, Dr. Whitmore has a really great clinic that has incredibly reasonable prices for their services.
