I am so happy with Dr. Amy and Healthy Companions! My goofy rescued lab, Blue, was deathly afraid of all things vet-related, especially needles, to the point that he would snarl and bite, requiring a muzzle and people pinning him down. Dr. Amy took the time to schedule weekly appointments with us and Blue to work with him using clicker training to familiarize and ease him into accepting treatments. We worked on his terms for about a couple of months, going slowly, and I am THRILLED to say that we were able to get Blue a heart worm test yesterday without needing a muzzle or any type of restraint. He gobbled up treats out of my hand while Amy did the poking and he didn't care at all!

Dr. Niedig, the owner/operator of Healthy Companions, is amazing. We got referred to her by the rescue organization we got our puppy from, and we couldn't have asked for a better vet. She was kind, patient and very helpful in explaining us, first time dog owners, all the things we needed to do to keep our little guy happy and healthy. She is also extremely nice in following up via e-mail when questions arise. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for the best vet in Colorado Springs come and see Dr Amy. My dog Bentley loves her. When I tell him we are going to see Amy he howls. He does that when he is happy. Amy is fantastic! She is patient, gentle and so supportive and you can just see how she genuinely loves animals. I just had Bentleys teeth cleaned with no anesthesia which is the safest for the animal. The woman who comes to Amy's office was fantastic. She did the best job ever and she is so much more affordable than anyone I have taken him to. Amy also has a wonderful line of natural pet products. Stop in and talk to her about your pet and you will see for yourself how truly wonderful she is! Great service! Dr. Amy is great and she took care of my Zepplin! He had his Zeutering appointment today and she was very thorough and careful with the procedure where I got to stay and watch and help with Zepplin. He was pretty mouthy today and he tried to nip her(which I greatly apologize for) but she was great about it. She's very helpful when I have questions and concerns about my dogs. They do preventive health stuff here for your dogs like rabies, bordatella but not other things emergency wise. Must visit!

Brought my foster here to get Zuetered and they did a great job. We were in and out within an hour. They took such good care of him. Recommending to friends and we will definitely be back.

I am so happy with Dr. Amy and Healthy Companions!
