My family and I took my dog my life long pal to this clinic after he passed to be cremated. They told me it could be up to two weeks until we could get his ashes. When we called them after almost three weeks, they told us they did not have my dog there. After crying all night mourning the loss of my dog, they never got back to us and we had to call them again. We were then told my dog is at the cremation center and not at the clinic so it will be another week or so until we can have my pet’s ashes. I am trying to be patient and understanding of the process but I’m so hurt that they did not know where my precious pet was in the first place. Definitely didn’t make me feel like I can trust this clinic. How can I even be sure they will give me the right ashes now? What if I never get to take my pet to rest at home? Read Less

One star is too generous. I'm in such shock and disbelief, how unprofessional this sad excuse of a hospital is. Apathetic is too warm of a way to describe them. I brought my two dogs Charlie and Casper for annual checkup and vaccination. Dr Brown mentioned that Charlie had problems with his eye and Casper had an yeast infection in his ears. When I asked what I should do, without any explanation she prescribed Charlie drops for his eye and scheduled weekly treatment for Casper. I€ve being bringing Casper every week and after three weeks I brought both Casper and Charlie, Casper for his weekly medication admission as Dr Brown stated his yeast infection didn€t clear yet and Charlie because his eye got much worse all red and swollen after the drops she prescribed. Dr Brown refused even to look at Charlie as appointment was for Casper only, even though I€ve being coming over consistently for three weeks and she was the one who prescribed the drops that made Charlie€s eye much worse. Every week I had to wait for at least 30 minutes for her to get available, tolerate her condescending attitude, google about eye and yeast infection at home as she ignored my questions and being treated as a bad dog owner because my dogs weren€t perfectly healthy while paying over $800 for yearly checkup, eye drops and yeast infection medication for my dogs. My issue is not the amount, the issue is, I paid so much money for them to barely examine or interact with my dog and from the entrance of the door, and I was treated with disrespect and unappreciated. When I come to a vet facility I don't expect much, just to be treated with respect and genuinely care for the health of my dog. So I spent over $800 for overall 30 minutes in total with Dr Brown of the worst services I've ever received in my entire life. The only reason I kept coming was because my husband and all his family used them for years and I really wanted to finish Casper€s treatment before switching the vet. Don't give them your business. You work too hard to give them your money and trust your pet to them! Read Less

I found Dic Nriwn when I moved. She was highly recommended by someone I trust with my life. He also has 2 dogs that he takes to her for care. After taking my little one there for the first time she had earned my trust. She was able to have her teeth cleaned without putting her under and was also able to get rid of a cyst on her back without surgery which my other bet told me wasn't possible. She truly cares about her patients and their owners. I had had some big concerns as I purchased a house with a koi pond and a hot tub. I was extremely concerned about my dog and wondered what precautions o would need to take and what I needed to watch for in case I turned my back for a second and she decided to swim with the koi and drink the water in the pond. She gladly told me what to do. She knows my pets mean the world to me. I would recommend her to anybody for dogs or cats or any other friend you have. The whole staff is wonderful. Thank you Dr Brown and staff. I can not give you all enough praise.Read Less

My 2 year old dog is my best friend, my hiking buddy, my companion that is always there. We have been going to Brentwood Animal Hospital ever since she was 8 weeks old. After her spay, Piper had a really difficult time with spay incontinence and maintaining a good PH starting 2 months after the spay. It took 3 months to get a proper diagnosis. Instead of going with Proin, due to the numerous negative reviews that I read on multiple credible sites, I went with an herbal approach and gave her cornsilk. She did really well with that for about 1 year and 3 months. Then the leaking in her sleep started to occur again. I took her in and was humiliated by the vet due to my choice of giving her an herbal remedy and was told to take her to Vitamin Cottage if I wanted to continue on a holistic approach. At this appointment, I wanted her tested for diabetes since she was losing weight and because Dr. Brown wasn't pleased with my choice to go an herbal route, she couldn't tell if she was diabetic or not from her urine, but insisted that I give Piper more veggies because her PH was still off (after a full year). I decided to give Proin a chance since I was exhausted of bathing her and cleaning her bedding daily. She did well for about 6 weeks and then the leaking occurred again and she started to lose weight rapidly. At this point, I knew taking her to BWH wasn't going to solve anything. I found a holistic/western medicine vet that took us in immediately. It turns out Piper has had a severe UTI for several weeks. That was cured within 10 days. Leaking still continued so we did a blood test, something I requested from BWH when I asked about the possibility of diabetes, and Dr. Brown didn't feel it was necessary. After getting the results, I was informed yesterday that I needed to take Piper to the ER immediately. I spent 5 hours at the veterinarian ER and am now hoping that I get good news for a long life with my 2 year old dog. She only has 1 kidney, which was news to me, and that kidney is abnormal and has the possibility of infection. Had you and your staff listened to me and perhaps thought about the correlations with her high PH over the past year, much of this would and could have been prevented. My dogs life is now on the line because your team didn't do their job and was more worried about your pride and my desire to do holistic medicine for my young pup. Read Less

Fortunately a neighbor told me about Brentwood Animal Hospital in February of 2012. We were in need of a new vet and the folks at Brentwood fit the bill! Brad was so friendly on the phone and then so kind and gentle when we arrived. Dr Brown was so sweet and patient with us that I knew I'd found our permanent animal hospital. They took amazing care of our Greyhound (as they are slightly partial to sight hounds ;-) and continue to provide the best care and service for our Vizsla. Today was like every other day: Kevin was prompt and helpful on the phone; we were able to get in only a couple hours after calling; and Dr Brown examined our girl in the waiting room, as our pup doesn't like being in the exam room. All of my questions were answered and concerns addressed. The balance due was very affordable and helped ease the stress of bringing the dog in. There are few fears greater than having a sick pet (who's considered a family member). Everyone at Brentwood understands this and does everything in their power to make the experience easier for everyone, even when the news isn't so good. Fortunately all is/was well with our Vizsla today. To the folks at Brentwood: I am grateful you do what you do and am thankful you take such good care of us.Read Less

As a professional dog trainer, and one who has volunteered at several clinics, I am about as picky as it gets! I don't care about bells and whistles, unless they are necessary to the task at hand. Yes, yes, I appreciate good design and feng shui, probably more than the next gal, but when it comes to my companion animals I'm looking for the veterinary equivalent of House, M.D. (sans the misanthropy and narcissism). Dr. Brown analyzed the data before her, asked questions and follow-up questions and really listened to my answers and concerns.  Dr. Brown has my family's loyal support, and my professional recommendation as one of several veterinarians we consult in complex cases. A good friend told me about Brentwood Animal Hospital and Dr. Brown and how she not only cared about the animals she cared for, she also cared for the people who owned them.I have one dog who I started taking to Dr. Brown when he was about 6 months old. Dr Brown was very caring and understanding, instead of just throwing horrible news at me, she got down to the human level and explain things and how they could be fix.She is always on top of things, if there is a problem with a pet, she tries to bring many options to the table instead of instead of most vets giving one option and that's all. I have worked with Dr. Brown for awhile now, she is actually very inexpensive compared to most vets in the metro area but provides higher service then the more expensive vet in the Metro Area.I highly recommend Dr. Brown as she goes above and beyond, in service, cost, care and really caring for your animal and the person who owns it. Want a vet that truly cares, and she will even tell you the price of almost anything that will be done to your pet before you come just in case you want to plan ahead before your visit.I will keeping going to her even though she is cross town, she is truly worth the drive and time to get to her. She's the best in my book! My cats are my kids, and I was very hesitant to go somewhere new.  Our last trip to the vet was mortifying!  But since my baby was limping, it was time to go to the doctor.Anyway, I'm very inclined to go with an Eastern medicine approach of care, where you try to find out the root of problem, instead of Western, where you just kill the pain with meds.  Therefore, I was very happy that instead of just giving my cat an x-ray and some pain meds, Dr. Brown gave her some morphine and gently manipulated her leg until she could feel that a tendon was popping out of place.  I've never had a vet spend so much time with us, just quietly looking and feeling and trying to figure out what was happening. After the exam, she put a little splint on my cat's leg so that the tendon could heal, and sent us home.  The bill was no where near what I had anticipated. Dr. Brown was extremely gentle and very caring.  I will definitely go back and recommend her to anyone!UPDATEBoth kitties needed their teeth done and Dr. Brown let me sit in for the pre-op exam and she called me several times during the procedure to update me on their status and the results of their blood work. I love Dr. Brown! Read Less

I love Dr. Brown! Read Less
