This was our first visit to Broadview Animal Clinic on the recommendation of our neighbor who suggested we see Dr. Davies. We needed to get in quickly and got stuck being seen by Dr. Rucker, who came across disinterested, bored, and in a hurry to get to the next appointment. Not even convinced he likes animals. Next time we will wait to see Dr. Davies. The office staff were pleasant, accommodated our schedule, and the waiting room was clean so this review is really a reflection of the vet who we saw. All four of my beloved pets have received services from Broadview for the better part of 8 years. Most currently, I took one of my babies in for a dental visit. I was called back with terrible news- he had late stage kidney disease (he is an older dog). While I really struggled with this, Broadview took me in stride. I call repeatedly with concerns and questions as my Toby went from healthy and happy (just drinking tons of water), to sick and not eating. He would have good days and bad...and when I was with Broadview for the next check up, despite all of our treatments we had given him the last month, his levels continued to rise. I made the choice to end his suffering. I was able to hold my Toby as he slipped from this place and tell him how much I love him. I received a small box with his cremains in them (which was sealed! and a total blessing because I worried about my 3 year old and if for some crazy reason she got ahold of his box, what would happen) and sympathy card. I was a total disaster and I know they probably see people like me all the time in the wake of a death of their family member, but they were so kind and patient. I could not have asked for better care, not only for my baby, but for me too. Thank you Dr. Hanson for helping my Toby transition, Maggie (??- she answered all of my 100 questions), and the wonderful ladies at the front desk for your patience and care . The Broadview staff have been caring for my pets and me for about a decade. The prices are reasonable for a vet clinic. They are down-to-earth and factual and have never tried to sell me stuff we don't need. There is a cork board in the waiting area for posting lost animals. Read Less

They have taken such good care of my little guy! He is a little Dachshund Chihuahua mix that needed a teeth cleaning and quite a few teeth pulled, and they did a wonderful job. Broadview Animal Clinic came very highly recommended to me. I contacted the office today to schedule an appointment for my furry family member to update his vaccinations and conduct a general wellness exam. I considered the person with whom I spoke on the phone to schedule the appointment to be rude. During our conversation, the person gave me the feeling that I was not valued as a new customer/client. Additionally, at the end of our conversation, this person hung up the telephone on me while I was thanking her for her help and wishing her a nice day. It was almost as if this person couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I called back, spoke with this same person, and told her that I considered her to be rude. I told her that as Broadview Animal Clinic's first contact with the public, she needs to have excellent customer service skills. I cancelled my appointment as a result of her lack of customer service skills and downright rudeness. I then asked to speak with an Office Manager. The Office Manager with whom I spoke told me that she wished that I had contacted her first to discuss my complaint rather than speak to the employee directly about my complaint. Really?!! I will not place my furry family member in the care of this clinic when I encounter such rudeness during my very first phone call to the clinic. If they treat me this way before I have even walked through the front door, how will they treat me and my furry family member when we show up for our very first appointment? Read Less

They did an amazing job with some critical dental work that needed to be done on my small dog Moe. He was back to normal within 2 days and is much happier now. An additional bonus is that the procedure didn't break the bank, I was expecting to pay upwards of $500 and I wound up paying a little over half that. They went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable which is what I appreciate the most. I would recommend them a 100 times over. Read Less

I've been in Denver/Aurora 8 years now and Broadview is by far the best vet I've been to. There prices cannot be beat. They are very popular therefore there gonna be busy but even with high volume of clients I've never waited more than 30 minutes. Friendly techs, knowledgeable vets and great receptionist. I have been coming here for 20 years. They have always done a great job at a fair price. The employees and Veterinary staff are great. Walk in patients can wait a bit some days but I have never waited more than a hour and a half. I have taken cats and dogs over the years including several litters of puppies.Read Less

I have just cancelled all my upcoming appointments with this clinic. I was getting disgusted with them because of the long waits; however, after my experience with Dr Caldwell there two weeks ago, I will not be going back there. I took my dog to see her because she was urinating blood and I was very concerned. After trying to do an urinalysis test and not being able to complete it because of too much blood, she sent me home with some pills saying my dog had a bladder infection. Take the pills and come back in 2 weeks. Well, my dog ended up in ICU at an emergency vet with severe anemia and, after trying everything for 6 days and thousands of dollars to save her, we said goodbye to her last week. PLEASE don't let these doctors just give you medicine and send you on your way. If I would've questioned her more, perhaps my little dog would still be alive today but I trusted this vet. Wrong decision on my part and my dog paid for it with her life. Read Less

I've been coming here for over 40 years. Haven't been disappointed yet! I also like seeing 2 or 3 different doctors so my dogs treatment plans get more than one opinion. I adore each & every vet that works there. Most of the people at the front desk are great---friendly and sociable. But I have run into a couple of the front staff that are not personable and they act like they hate their jobs. I also don't like being put on hold to wait & wait...however, in the long run, it's worth the wait. Read Less

Went there for the first time today and we loved it! We drove from the west side on the recommendation from a friend. I love this place. The people are nice, the vet we saw was so nice and patient with our little dog and explained everything clearly about her "trick" knee. She'll be having surgery on December 22nd to get it fixed. My English Mastiff needed an emergency pyometri surgery done after seeing her primary vet and called ahead and headed straight to broadview animal clinic and didn't wait longer than 10 minutes for her to be checked in and brought back for her life saving procedure. This place takes care of the needs of the pet as well as the owner... they were wonderful when it came to the prognosis of my best friend of 13 years and now he's feeling so much better! The pricing is very reasonable and they didn't try to do unnecessary testing... plus they were willing to work with me on payments while my boy got the treatment he needed! We took our very fearful dog to Broadview several months ago and to our surprise, she was comfortable with the people there. They treated her so well and were a great help to us humans as well. While the doctors are great, the front desk staff is atrocious. If you have a walk-in, wait times can be up to 4 hours. Checkout times are up to 30 minutes - the staff simply ignores you. In the end, the great quality of the 5-minute visit with the doctor is not even worth it. I am taking my business elsewhere. Read Less

Terrible place, awful service, they don't actually care about your animal. In an out with rude attitudes. I recommend going to VCA if you care about your animal at all. I have been coming to Broadview 25 years and that's coming from Alameda East that I was not happy with. Dr. Wingert and his team are awesome - showed care when I had to put out 13 year old Rottie down and have been great with the new family members from surgery to standard visits. There was a time where the front desk staff needed a better attitude when it came to customer service but I kept going despite that - and now they have a great gal at the front desk - and she's awesome, comes in the lobby and talks to owners and says hi to the animals. Now that's great customer service - businesses always have rough patches and it appears they are past that. Read Less

I would've given this a one star or a zero star but I happen to like Dr. Wingert. He has no clue what's going on in his clinic anymore the staff is horrible absolutely horrible I've recommended this that too many people they all come out saying they'll never go back! Very reasonable prices if you don't mind waiting an hour even with an appointment and I live 9 miles away and it's quicker for me to drive there to ask him a question then to call no one will answer the phone ever! I was initially very pleased with this clinic until my dog developed post- surgical breathing problems and I called the after hours number listed on the post op discharge paperwork. It specifically says to call if any breathing problems occur. I called late on Sunday morning. The person who answered just said "hello." I had to ask if I had the right number and then he identified himself as a vet. He said he didn't' think it was normal to have gurgling breathing and said he didn't do that procedure so I would have to call on Monday. He didn't ask any triage questions to determined if my dog was having a medical emergency. His whole tone was one of being annoyed at having to take a call. He was uncaring and borderline rude. I LOVE this animal Clinic. We have had several dogs and have used a few different vets over the years. I have left usually for poor customer service and soaring prices. I love my dogs because they are family, however vet prices can be so outrageous. I was referred by a friend and Broadview's customer service has been fantastic, but even better has been the reasonable prices that I hope they continue to charge. I was referred here by another vet clinic for my cat Kiki. It was an emergency as he had a urinary blockage and needed surgery right away. Dr. Zale was his vet, he called me early in the morning and late into the evening giving my updates on Kiki's status. Their prices are reasonable and the care is excellent.
