I've been bringing my dog here for about 6 years (he's 9) and we've always had great service. I've worked with several of the vets during various appointments and all of them have treated my boy with nothing but love and compassion. The vets also treated me with compassion and respect knowing full well how much I love my pup :) They explain things to me in layman's terms and they took great care of him when he had to be left there for treatment. Wow. I'm without words. Goldsmith has gone above and beyond enough times for me to write off any other vet. I'm sure that there are good people doing good work at other provider's offices, but you would be hard pressed to find the consistency in the level of care hat Goldsmith offers their patients. They treat your bestie as their own, they're honest, deliver on their promises, and know how to treat the human as well as they treat your animal. Dr Rae is the best vet I have found. He has taken care of our kitty for the last 3 years and has done all of our puppy appointments with our newly adopted puppy Oliver. Our first visit was comped by the office because Oliver was adopted at the dumb friends league so I expected just a quick meet and great appointment to get a general health check and to find out shot schedule and such but we got so much more. Dr Rae spent about 45 minutes with us just going over everything to expect with a new puppy and let me ask every question I could possibly think ofand let me know if I had any question at all to feel free to call and I have and have been glad I had. It is a great feeling to know if i have any questions i need answered i have a great resource and don't have to always depend on Google i can ask people who truly know my dog ans cat. The office staff is wonderful and always so easy to work with. Appointments are very easy to make and if it is an emergency they will get you in as quickly as you can get there. And on top of all of the amazing service we receive the price is the best I have seen. You can tell they operate their business because they truly care about what they do and their patients not the money. I have been taking my rescue pup here for 2 years and everything was great. Until, I discovered a growth on her toe. I was very concerned and they did a sample of the fluid inside. They told me it was very concerning and to have a procedure ASAP, implying it was probably cancerous and aggressive. They said they couldn't do a biopsy without removing the toe. I was so upset at the thought of losing my dog that I didn't get a second opinion, let alone the fact the procedure was scheduled 2 days later. The day of the amputation, the vet called and talked about options, but what he said steered my decision towards amputation. Unfortunately, I went ahead thinking I was being given sound professional advice. When I picked up my dog, they didn't even send me home with a cone or additional bandages or resources for weekend care. When the results came back from the biopsy, it was not cancer at all!!!! I then scheduled to on board with another vet and get her paperwork faxed over. The office manager called and was very unpleasant with me for the fact I was going to another vet. This place is a life saver! We brought our puppy (border collie mix) here for her shots when she was very small. They distracted her with peanut butter and me with talk about our puppy - and neither of us noticed the shots going in! This week our puppy, now 5 months, suddenly seemed off and was struggling to breathe. Goldsmith got us in right away, and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rae. This could have been a very stressful visit - she needed x-rays, an IV, and lots of meds. But Dr. Rae explained everything to us in a very calm way, helped us understand what each medication was for, and seemed genuinely concerned about our puppy. He stayed with us for over an hour, getting other vets to cover his other appointments. And when we left he gave us his cell phone number to call if we had any concerns at all. It's hard to say enough about how much I love this clinic. We've worked primarily with Dr.'s Rea and Goldy, though everyone we've encountered here is friendly, understanding, compassionate and helpful. Each of our dogs had some serious health issues, including hemangiosarcoma, heartworm, and a torn ACL. The entire staff treats us with respect and kindness from start to finish. They never rush through any appointment, making sure that all my questions are answered and taking the time to get to know us as a family as well. Please and thank you. Feb 10th...still waiting. Feb 7th...still waiting. Unbelievable. Feb 2nd...still waiting. Original request for answers on Jan 27. Today is Jan 31...still waiting. Upon your initial visit, Dr. Rae seems great. But if you're expecting any kind of response to your inquiries or follow up, you're going to be very disappointed. Medical records for my cat say "possible positive" for leukemia, which is not only a deadly disease, but can also be contagious to my other cat. This was never explained to me. I found out through a new vet that saw the med recs and brought it to my attention. I asked Dr. Rae and a member of his staff to explain this to me because I'm obviously distraught and may need to take immediate action. That was 2 days ago...still waiting. Read Less

Not only are they amazing, but the entire staff is awesome! We treat our dogs as part of the family and they do too at Goldsmith Veterinary Clinic. We just had the awful experience of saying goodbye to our 11 year old South African Boerboel Apollo, and I can not stress enough how impressed we were with their process. A few weeks later we got a card in the mail filled with nice messages from the entire staff and a clay impression of his paw print. We were blown away to say the least! Goldsmith Veterinary Clinic is great. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate towards our fur babies. We take both our dog and our cat there. They really helped us with our dog when we had an ear infection and when our cat was sick. Our dog is super anxiety-prone and the staff was very patient with him and kind to him. Been going here for 5 years. Dr Rey has never lead me in the wrong direction. Seen 3 of my cats and 2 of my dogs. He's very knowledgeable and has a wonderful way with animals. I originally took my newly rescued cat to Goldsmith and was so impressed with the time they took with both of us. I had a wonderful pet that they treated like gold. I then had to take my old, blind and deaf Shihtsu to end her time with us. So hard. I was so upset and they immediately took me to a room for privacy and to say our goodbyes. I wasn't sure I could handle what was ahead. But because of the incredible sensitivity of the Vet, we got through it together. She was ready. Even after she was gone we still both kept a hand on her for quite a bit. No rushing. Just personal care. I miss her every single day but I am so grateful to everyone at Goldsmith. They have care and kindness beyond anything I could ever expect. And then I got a card with personal notes from every single person that worked there. The vets and vet techs at Goldsmith cares so deeply for the animals. One of our dogs came down with anemia which has caused him to be immune compromised. Our vet and all of the vet techs take such great care of him each time we go in for a check up and they are so committed to helping us care for him and make sure he lives the most normal, healthy life he can. They know our animals by name and always ask how they are when we go in for something as simple as a refill on an Rx. Our vet researches things on our behalf and always presents us with current information for our pup so we are making informed decisions on our pets' care. We have been taking our kitties to Goldsmith for about 5 years now. All of the vets and staff are wonderful at this clinic -- gentle, intelligent, and generous with their time! They are also very accommodating with appointments and will squeeze you in on short notice if you are concerned about your pets' health (our cats have had a number of emergency health issues over the years).
