My dogs had their first visit with Dr. Morgan today. It is such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I instantly felt at ease with both the staff and the doctor. I have a dog who typically shivers from the time we enter until the time we leave the vet but she was so relaxed that she actually rested as she waited for the Dr.! Absolutely love this clinic. We took our 14 week old puppy there today for her second round of shots. They always treat all of our pets really well, but we're a bit worried because her breed is restricted in Denver. However, they treated her with amazing care and helped her with everything she needed. She was treated with the care they give every other animal there, witch is unsurpassed. A couple months ago, my brother's puppy Hubbie was having a terrible reaction to his shots. He got incredibly sick. The so called best animal hospital had no idea what was wrong with him and tried to get us to keep him there overnight with no treatment plans at all. We took him to POB the next day and within minutes they knew what was wrong with him, and had him walking again two days later. We won't take our pets anywhere else. Read Less

We have been taking our two dogs here for at least 5 years. One of our dogs can be a pain and they always treat us with kindness and make our appointments positive. Our other dog takes medication for his heart and they take great care of him. I can get appointments quickly and then staff is very nice. I recommend every vet here as we have seen them all. Drs Scolnick and Griffin were our dog's, Apollo, vets for the twelve years he resided here in Denver. I cannot recommend these two Dr.'s and the entire staff at Pets on Broadway highly enough! Their care for our pet was exceptional, always thorough and caring. Apollo was always well cared for, whether at normal checkups, when he stayed there while we travelled, or as he met the challenges of the last year of his life. The care and compassion of the entire Pets on Broadway ...staff was wonderful, making our decision to humanely allow our pet to pass on to this next life much easier. I boarded my dogs recently and both were returned to me ill. I am not sure what occurred but both were fine when I dropped them off. I also had a very unpleasant experience with one of the vets. I paid 70 dollars a dog to seek advise on end of life options and the vet informed me the owner knows when it is time. If that is the case then why charge? I will never use this vet again. She went above and beyond to help my mom and brother with their sweet Simba. Dr. Griffin you were my hero the day I panicked and brought both my dogs in. I was a mess! I thought  they were going to die from eattng chocolate and raisins. You calmed me down and quickly went to work on both of them. Than there is the wonderful office staff. This clinic is the right choice for one's dog or cat.  Dr. Mac Griffin is the warmest, kindest man. He is a superb clinician - our animals have received excellent care.  What stands out the most is Dr. Mac sensitively talking with my children when the time came for their dog and, later, their cat to be put to sleep.  He also counseled my wife and I on how best to help the kids cope.  We held funerals that allowed the kids to share their favorite memories and leave a flower on the grave.  I'm sure there are other veterinarians who have great skills in treating animals.  But, Dr. Mac also cares enough to treat pet owners with kindness and, when appropriate, guidance.   For veterinary care, grooming, boarding, etc. there is no other place for our family than Pets on Broadway. I've been coming to this vet since I moved to Colorado 4 years ago. It was super close to where I lived at the time and even though I've moved around since then, I still choose to come here. Both the veterinarians and front desk staff are kind and friendly. You can tell they genuinely love animals. They have a food and treat section to the left as soon as you walk in, so of course my girls want to immediately run over there the moment we get in the door. I've taken my Cocker Spaniel here to get groomed as well, but they recently got a new groomer that charges $15 more than anyone else who's been there the past 4 years. I was a little annoyed on my recent visit when I went to pay and the price was suddenly higher. They hadn't given any warning prior to that moment that the price would be more. When I inquired, I simply received a, "Sorry, that's just what she charges." Unfortunately, I will be looking for a new groomer but I will still bring my babies here for veterinary purposes (and would recommend to anyone in the area) because they are so great at handling them. Pets on Broadway is an excellent veterinary clinic. I got my cat when he was 14, and Dr. Sheryl Scolnick and her amazing staff helped me give my rescue kitty the best possible life. Tori,  Patrick, and Stacy are so professional, friendly, and efficient!Bonzo had several medical conditions (IBD, then later developed diabetes, and also intestinal lymphoma). Dr. Scolnick and her staff showed me how to administer the necessary medications to keep my little dude healthy. When he was really ill, they showed me how to administer subcutaneous fluids at home, so he could stay hydrated and comfortable. We found the appropriate drug regimen and prescription diet to manage his IBD. When he developed diabetes, they educated me about the disease and showed me how to monitor his blood sugar and to give insulin injections. His conditions improved, and he was a happy cat for years. We continued happily for a long time. When Bonzo was 17 and it became time to put him to sleep, Dr. Scolnick was there for me and for my cat. She always promptly returns my messages and phone calls. She talked me through the process, and what I would expect during the procedure. I scheduled my appointment specifically for a day she would be in the office, because I wanted her to do the procedure. Dr. Scolnick and her amazing staff are some of the sweetest, most compassionate people I have ever met. I know for a fact that my kitty enjoyed many more years of life, thanks to their excellent care. They have helped me to be a better cat owner, and helped me to realize I am so much stronger than I ever thought. Easy to get an appointment, personable staff and wonderful doctors. The price is not too expensive no new patient fee. They also tell you the price before they run tests. We took our Yorkie here after reading the reviews. She had a ear issue. We really like it and she did too.Shortly after we brought one of our dogs here our other Yorkie torn his ACL. We saw Dr. Gibson she  took all the time in the world answering our questions and going over options. We ended doing surgery with Dr. Griffin. He is amazing. Any time I had questions on meds he would call me back asap. The front desk staff, vets, and vet techs are amazing. This is the best place to take your furry friends. I can't say enough good things about POB. My dog loves going there! Everyone is very friendly, especially Patrick at the front desk! The facility is clean and welcoming for my dog and me:) we recently got a kitty so we brought her there a few days ago and my husband and I were impressed with Dr. Waldbaum very sweet and professional,  my cat was at ease with her. My review is not specific to the treatment of my animal at Pets on Broadway, although does have a direct connection. My animal was a guest (victim) of Paradise4Paws in Denver, where he developed moist dermatitis from being saturated in his own urine covered blanket, not allowed to relieve himself, or receiving proper hydration. I can't post pictures on this review, but you can check out my Yelp! review to see for yourself. I have since received a full refund for Edison's stay at Paradise4Paws, albeit, NO AMOUNT OF MONEY can make for the way he was treated. Any organization continuing to do business with Paradise4Paws should be equally as responsible for perpetuating their relationship with this organization. My dog has been home for 48 hours, with no medication, after six days on the skin infection worsening while under the care of Paradise4Paws. Since then, he has made a 180 and the dermatitis is 90% eliminated from what it was when I picked him up. You ow it to. You owe it Edison. Most importantly you owe it to the animals who have not, and should not, have to suffer while under the supervision of Paradise4Paws. I can't might it right for Edison, however I can use the expense of his experience to ensure it wasn't wasted by educating others about Paradise4Paws inhumane treatment of my animal.. This is where my dog went for a while. Dr. S rocks, she really is the best. She's honest and blunt about things, and I appreciate that as a former vet tech. She trusts me to make decisions and has always called me back the same day when I've left a message. That's pretty stellar for a busy vet. I also really like the staff, they're all so sweet and stuff my dog's mouth full of treats while she's there, so my dog enjoys coming in. The office is nice, the waiting room is a little small. They know my dog is fearful, so they set us up in an exam room right away. I usually go to Community Pet in Thornton, but I might consider making the trip to see Dr. S instead, since we have such good communication between us. Read Less

Dr Akers has been my vet for the past 10 years. He's the most compassionate vet I've ever had and always makes me feel like he really cares about my furry children. I came in for grooming.  Well, not me, but I brought my one-eyed rescue dog with real "issues" in after a bad experience elsewhere.  Scheduling was easy and quick, and there is a HUGE parking lot for this facility- So far, so good!I met the groomer, Krisha, and explained a little bit about my special needs and very trembly scared dog.  She confidently took him, and three hours later, he was transformed.  Not only was he no longer stinky, but he was HAPPY!  He was fluffy, clean, and handsome- and every one loves picking up a happy dog.Krisha took the time to explain to me what she observed with Jack and confirmed my thoughts that something unnecessarily bad happened to him last time. It was great to know the steps she took to work with him, and work around his fear, gently. This was a very positive experience all around.  I liked that they required proof of vaccinations. Pets on Broadway has been our dog's vet and boarding spot since I moved to Denver in the fall of 2011. I found the place just because I needed a close and reasonably priced place to kennel my dog for a trip I was taking, and I since have gone back for all veterinary needs. The staff is super friendly, the kennels are very clean, and Abby always seems disappointed to leave when I've kenneled her here (Abby is a dog if you missed the context). The place itself is on a part of Broadway that is a bit sketchy, amongst several dispensaries and whatnot, but when you go inside it would seem this place may as well be in the middle of Cherry Creek or the like. Small touches like sending an email on our dog's birthday and keeping all of her records stored electronically for us make Pets on Broadway great. This was a good find and I will definitely continue to come here for both kenneling and vet needs. Read Less

I can not say enough amazing things about the Doctors and Staff at Pets on Broadway.  I truly can say that they absolutely LOVE their patients.  My Dogs love seeing Dr. Scolnick.  I lost a dog a few months ago and being my first pet, Dr. Scolnick was nothing but supportive and empathetic.  She even helped my other dog cope with the loss.  I just recently got 2 new pups.  Dr. Scolnick has been so efficient and helpful with all their needs/shots.  One pup got really sick and almost died.  Dr. Scolnick was so proficient and did what ever it took to save my new pup.  7 days later I got great news.  Pup was coming home.  Dr. Scolnick worked miracles and saved him  ;)I would not go anywhere else.  You have no idea what care is until your pets see Dr. Scolnick. If you think Pets on Broadway is too expensive, believe me, you have NOT seen exorbitant fees like you would see at Firehouse. Vet costs are expensive - we all know that. So get pet insurance -- I did. I am with Pet Plan. It's not over the top expensive, because they only cover accidents and illness. My dog ate de-con mouse killer tonight, luckily I live near this vet. I called twice in the 2 minute drive and no one answered, but, within 20 seconds of arriving they made my dog a priority. They were extremely calming, I was panicked, they answered all my questions, greeted me with respect and concern and CARE!!!!! My dog actually was wagging her tail the entire time there even though had to have induced vomiting and given charcoal. I think is says SO MUCH that my dog was happy and comfortable there, she normally cowers at the vet office. The bill, although big (let's be real people it's expensive to own a pet) was much less than I anticipated, especially on an emergency basis. I have a new vet! I hate to say it, but I had two animals misdiagnosed by Pets on Broadway vets which was DIRECTLY contributory to their deaths - within a few weeks of each other. I still get cards stating that one of the pets is 'due for a checkup"" even though I have informed then that the cat died - I believe due to thier incompetence. I would definately not recommend. They were very dismissive and generally uninterested in my emergency visit - said the dog had a bug bite. The next day he was dying in the ICU at another hospital in heart failure and they could not run tests due to the shot Pets on Broadway gave him. skewing the results. I would never recommend this vet. I think they got lazy in thier success which in my case resulted tragically (x2) Read Less

For almost 10 years Pets on Broadway has offered very generous discounts and the best medical care to the homeless dogs that have come into our rescue group. We know that the caring staff, Dr. Griffin and Dr. Scolnick have gone above and beyond to help the seriously ill dogs we have had come into rescue. Because of their generosity we have been able to help many dogs that otherwise would have been euthanized in animal shelters.
