I first went to Vida when my beloved dog had a stroke one night. Even though it was horrible and I had to have the dog euthanized, they were so great. They treated us with absolute respect. His name was Dobby, from Harry Potter, and I was so touched to see them write, "a free elf" on the back of his paw prints. My son gets care for his pet rats through them and they are fantastic. I have now switched all of my vet care to Vida. Great staff and gets. Read Less

I have 6 different reptiles and a 85 lb. purebred American Bulldog and a cat and Dr. Katy Levon (pretty sure) is by far the best doctor I've ever felt with. She handles anything we need no problem and I couldn't be more impressed!!! This place has started charging extra for a fecal exam with their wellness exams. When I called to question this the woman, Susan, was incredibly rude to me and told me this has always been the policy - this is a charge I confirmed has never appeared on any of our bills. Susan was so awful that I don't feel comfortable calling back. It is not worth the $64. I've been bringing all my animals here for 5+ years. I will no longer be bringing my pets here. The vets here really are amazing and we're sad to have to leave. However, it is not worth being treated so terribly. Read Less

Unfortunately, my first visit with Vida Veterinary was to learn that my kitty Izzy had Lymphoma. The staff was so helpful and supportive. I ended up having to put her to sleep which was very difficult for me. I really appreciate everything that Vida did for me and for my Izzy. I am so glad that I chose to bring her there. It used to be a good vet hospital. We had a great experience with Dr. Keller awhile ago. She was very caring and knowledgeable. The staff was nice too. But after she left, it wasn't the same anymore. The staff and vets changed. If you have an exotic animal DO NOT bring it here. It's likely that it will die like ours did. They don't have a specialist (unless they hired a new one recently) and are afraid to try anything that would save your pet if it's an emergency. My Quaker needed to be seen by a avian dvm. tHE ONE THAT USED TO BE THERE WAS GOOD. she is no longer there and they have no avian doctor.The doctor listed on several websites is Dr Krista Keller she is a avain dr. she is no longer there and they do not tell you that when you bring your bird in. It would be my advice to stay away from these people as they are expensive and I would recommend thea where you take your bird that you stay with it at all times and stay away from this place especially if you have a bird or other exotic animal. We took our little dachshund there since our vet is closed on Saturday and we were in a bit of a panic but they were so helpful, kind, knowledgeable and efficient. NO STAR RATING **** Dr. Keller is no longer with this practice - just notified 10 minutes before a critical appointment for a bunny tooth trim. My bunny was under treatment for pneumonia, was taking antibiotics for two months, had a question via email to Dr. Keller and got no response. She is a good vet, I hope she is doing well but she didn't notify she was leaving the practice and the practice didn't notify her patients. This is an exotic pet that requires special needs to prevent illness and it is such bad business to not keep in touch with the pet owners. I now have to search for a new vet a.s.a.p. to prevent my bunny from getting ill. Read Less

They got me into the office immediately, Were very thorough and didn't kill me on the cost. They have always called to make sure that my kids are still ding ok. Everyone knows them by name and they all make sure no matter which one of my clan of 5 comes in! I LOVE this clinic! I've had a few bunny-related emergencies and they have always been so knowledgeable and caring. As a first time hedgehog owner, finding a vet was a little tricky; but I am so happy that I found Dr. Keller. She was incredibly sweet and very knowledgable- not to mention thorough. She is definitely my go to vet for exotic animals. As far as everything else goes, the building felt clean and welcoming, and the rest of the staff that I interacted with (reception and Dr. Keller's assistant) were all incredibly friendly and willing to help in any way they could. We have taken all our animals to University Hills Animal Hospital, now VIDA Veterinary Care, for more almost 3 decades. I now live out of town, but when visiting with my new puppy who started having symptoms of a UTI, I brought him in to the newer facility located just up the street from the old. I love that Vida Veterinary Care is within walking distance from my home and that it is a nice facility with friendly and professional staff. However, on my first visit, I felt like the vet upsold me on a product I"m not sure my dog needed. Thus, I waited until an injury occurred for my second visit, and again felt like the vet was acting in a very aggressive manner for the nature of the injury. I was brave and explained to her my former experience, and she respectfully heard me out and expressed regret that I felt that way. She accepted my decision to pursue a less aggressive (and less expensive) approach and in subsequent visits even helped me find a less expensive prescription for my dog, which definitely helped me build trust in her and in the clinic. Maybe this is a symptom of city vets, but I do appreciate that the vet responded to my concerns. I'll be back and willing to advocate for what I think is best for my dog and I. Read Less

This clinic is great. It is open until midnight, and --with your permission-- they will even call you after-hours with updates (which is amazing if you are a night-owl with a racing mind and crippling anxiety like me). The doctors and technicians are adept. I thought that everyone's kindness was genuine. While I was without my kitty, their compassion helped me find some peace. However, I'm confused how people can say that the services are "affordable" or "reasonably priced." After doing some research, I learned that I paid TWICE THE AVERAGE COST for my cat's treatment. With that being said, I recommend people to look around for other clinics that are less expensive. Had I not been able to pay the $2,000 bill, I would've lost my best friend. We brought our dog in with a host of issues and in a lot of pain, and our vet was so sweet and gentle with him that he was wagging his tail by the time everything was over. They were also WONDERFUL about being upfront with pricing and sensitive to our budget, which has not been our experience elsewhere. My pup got sick after we moved into our new apartment, and we were really worried about him. I was able to call their office on a Saturday and they said they were happy to help him. Even though they were pretty slammed (give that it was an urgent care day), we were able to sit in a room immediately and were treated nicely, offered coffee and water and received great care from the staff. I have had extremely positive experiences with Dr. Keller in dealing with my ill exotics. I trust her judgement completely as does my raptor education group who now uses her expertise to care for our over 20 raptors and numerous reptiles. I also appreciate their availability as many other clinics dealing in exotics have limited appointments available. Dr Jeff Gerlesits took care of my dog, Hazel. He spayed and completed a stomach pexy surgery. He was very kind, patient, and caring. He met with me and explained her surgery and took time to answer my questions. The nurses were great. He called as soon as her surgery was over so I did not have to worry. The hospital was clean and efficient. They filled medications for her to go home with. Great service, caring staff, I would go back in a heart beat. Worst customer service from a vet or any business that I've ever experienced. Numerous issues, including: - Unwilling to consider medications that previous vet had recommended for arthritis - Messed up prescription requested on multiple occasions - Unwilling to make prescriptions available on same day basis - Required me to bring my dog back after 3 months just to continue an ongoing standard prescription - Unwilling to prescribe through 1800 Pet Meds: force to buy through them and they charge more money - Told me I would have to wait 2 hours to pick up my dogs from boarding once I arrived after a week long trip because the staff was in training and couldn't be disturbed (eventually gave in after protestations) All of this after I spent $2000 for boarding my dogs within a 3-4 month period.
