My newly adopted 7 year old cat started sneezing and stopped eating on Sunday. Monday morning Urban Vet Care was able to get us in and treated my little girl with love and compassion for an upper respiratory infection. On top of antibiotics and something to help with her appetite they gave her fluids. By the time we got home and she was out of the carrier she made a bee line to her food and seems like a completely different cat. Thanks everyone!

Last year I went to a different, highly reputable vet in the neighborhood and had such a horrible experience that I was left reeling. I was then recommended to try Urban Vet Care. My amputee dog is my child, and after last year's exam I was more nervous for the vet than she is! But the second I walked into Urban Vet, I knew I'd have a different experience. Everybody was so friendly and professional. I felt like I was in very capable hands. Sure, they are a *little* pricier than other places...but like I said, my dog is my child and I want to ensure she has the best care possible especially given her condition. THANK YOU for reviving my trust in veterinary care!

We've been coming here for about 8 months (since we got our puppy), and have nothing but good experiences here. We've had no problems ever scheduling an appointment, even if its for the next day. The staff is very professional and helpful, and answer any and all questions a concerned pet parent may have. The typical negative from people is the cost, but when it comes to our pet we aren't really looking for the cheapest vet. We also got our dog spayed here, and the surgery and recover both went very well.

My cat was very ill and eventually had to be put down and they made the process as easy as it could have been. Everyone I spoke to was compassionate and expressed their condolences. Dr. Feighner helped me make a very hard decision and I will forever be grateful to her. I would recommend her to anyone and I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

This is the perfect example of everything that is wrong with veterinary care. The vets use scare tactics to convince you to pay for greatly overpriced, and unecessary services. I brought one dog in with an abscess on his leg. The vet immediately started mentioning cancer and suggested blood work and a battery of test that were very expensive/unwarranted. Instead, I suggested we run a simple blood test, and if it comes back clear we try antibiotics. The blood test was clear and the antibiotics worked great. On another occasion, Urban Vet quoted me $4000 for some dental surgery that I was able to get done at another vet for under $200. You read that correctly- they wanted to overcharge me by $3,800!! Make no mistake about it, this place is a business and they wish to profit off one's emotional attachment to their pet. I understand the need to make a profit, but read those numbers again and then book somewhere else.

Highly recommend for any vet needs. I was able to call and speak with their receptionist at 7:15am to schedule a same day new pet appointment for my dog with conjunctivitis. The place is clean, beautiful, modern and has lots of parking. Everyone here from the front desk, to the vet tech, to the doctor were all friendly, on time, and compassionate. As a physician myself with a clinic in downtown, I was very very impressed. We will be coming here for a long time. Thank you Urban Vet team!

Best vet experience I've ever had! If I could give them 6 stars, I would. As others have mentioned, the folks at Urban Vet Care really seem to care. They're some of the nicest, most accommodating professionals I've ever met in the context of a veterinarian. I'm a first-time dog owner and a "single dad" of a puppy and I'm sure a bit clueless but Urban Vet Care has been nothing but lovely to me. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I'm new to the area, so I checked out yelp reviews before I chose this place, but it's in walking distance and the prices seemed reasonable. They were able to get me and Charlie in the very next day! Which was awesome bc we had a grooming appointment contingent upon his updated shots. The place was very friendly, very clean and smelled nice when we walked in. I watched the other customers before me leave and the front desk all knew them and their dogs by name. We only waited maybe 5 minutes to be seen. The Vet was very friendly, and fast! They took Charlie back to get his shots and he came back SO happy! I've never seen that before. He acted like they just gave him steak or something or told him he was going on a walk. Lol. The only thing I didn't like.. was that they were pretty pushy on the sales front. Push for his teeth cleaning, heartworm test and medication, and for his anal glands. I understand things have to be done but mentioning them as though you're kinda silly for not getting it doesn't work for me. Tell me the option, information, and price, and let me consider. I don't want to be made feel bad for not getting a service at the time it's sprung on me. Other than that it was perfect.

Urban Vet Care is simply the best vet clinic there ever was. The staff is amazingly helpful, kind, and compassionate. Yoda (our cat) has a tendency to vomit in the car, and every time they clean the cage, change the mat and give us an extra. We stopped in today for a FREE checkup and they gave us a FREE bag of dental treats that costs about $20!Dr. Andreae Is funny, straight to the point and honest, and always gives us the perfect solution for Yoda's ailments. She told us today to not ever bothering brushing a cat's teeth, something that every other vet has told us to do. We have been 5 times now and each time there is ample parking, no waiting around, and great service.Simply put, we've been to many other vets and Urban Vet Care surpasses them all by leaps and bounds. Great job!

I recently moved to the highlands from South Denver and needed to find a close vet for my dog, Tater-tot (sharpei mix). Tater is a special creature as she is afraid of almost everything. We were referred to Urban Pet by a close friend and made an appointment. As expected, Tater was very anxious. I was amazed at the effort the staff made to take their time with her. This made me (and I think her, too) more comfortable and relaxed. Overall, I left with all of my questions answered and was provided with all of the information that I need to help Tater with her medical issues. Again, we had a wonderful experience and will be back soon for a teeth cleaning!

We love our vet! Dr. White and the rest of the team are always super attentive and thorough. My dog actually likes coming here and they even contacted our previous vet and got all of her records before her first visit which made my life easier. The only thing is that they close at noon on Saturdays and are closed Sunday, however, they're usually open until 7pm during the work week. With that, I would just suggest you know where your nearest 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital is (they'll happily help you with this, too!) I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet in the area.

I am so impressed with Urban Vet Care. My dog is 13.5 years old. They went over everything they felt he needed. I was impressed by the Vet's knowledge of new things, suggestions she made for some issues he is having and how very nicely both the Vet and the Tech treated this grand old boy. The cost of vet care if usually a consideration for most of us. I appreciated the reasonable cost of care and when an extra test needed to be done, she explained the benefits of doing the test and the cost. I highly recommend Urban Vet Care.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. The actual space (lobby and rooms) are VERY clean! This vet is also conveniently located 1-2 minutes off of Speer & I-25 heading Northwest which is convenient for anyone who lives or works downtown, the Highlands, and the surrounding neighborhoods. I truly had a 5-star experience here. The only minor thing I would suggest is a green area or yard area for pets to go potty when they need to instead of outside and around the corner.

We've only been there a few times but so far, they have done an excellent job taking care of our two little kitties! Our old vet was ok but after a few friends came to Urban Vet Care, we decided to switch and we are very happy with the decision. One of our kitties had to get dental surgery and the vet who took care of him was friendly, informative, and reassuring as we were a bit nervous about him going under. Everything turned out well! The staff as a whole is friendly and accommodating and the place is clean and welcoming.

The staff here is the best! They spent so much time with me and my new rescue and answered all my questions. They made myself and my dog (Penny) feel like we were the first priority. Dr. White got down on the floor with Penny to make her feel more comfortable and when Penny got worried about going into a small room all the staff helped encourage her and praised her. I drive from Wash Park to see Dr. White because she is so kind and you can tell she loves what she does. Take your animal here! They will love your animals.

They treat your pet like they are their own, with lots of love, and the best care and attention to their health issues. My dog is actually happy to go there. She loves the staff. The veterinarians there clearly have top quality advanced educations and always provide clear and careful explanations of health issues. Cats hate the vet, it's a scientific fact. Being shoved in a carrier then taken outside to the car is traumatic enough, let alone taking them to a place that smells like other animals where they get poked and prodded. Makes sense why they don't enjoy it.I used to have a vet who makes house calls and that was amazing. That service isn't available in Denver but Urban Vet is the next best thing. They're less than a mile from my house and there's tons of parking available so you can scoot in with your pet and make it as trauma-free as possible.Shayna my cat had her annual check up, got a relatively clean bill of health and her prescription for crazy cat behavior renewed. All in less than an hour.The day after our first visit, Urban Vet called to follow up and make sure everyone was ok. And a week later we got a postcard. Very thoughtful.

We were seen as soon as we arrived and Dr. Lawson was incredibly patient and kind with my somewhat protective pup. How many vets will sit on the floor and play with your dog until the pup is 100% comfortable? You can tell that Dr. Lawson truly loves dogs.
I was a bit concerned about price since none of the other review's really mentioned it, but the exam (and vaccines) was super affordable, especially considering how high the quality of service is.
My dog went in with her tail tucked and came out tail wagging, which sums up our whole experience.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm looking forward to her wellness exam next year!

I only had one appointment here for a regular check up for my 5 year old cat, so I can't comment much on the quality of service, but this place is definitely trying to find any way they can to make a buck. I was given more than one sales pitch on why I should spend $400 to have my cat anesthetized for a teeth cleaning. The vets did not seem knowledgeable, my cat had just lost her vision and everyone just shrugged their shoulders at why this might happen and said I would need to spend thousands of dollars on tests to find out why.
I have had vets in the past that focus more on quality of care than finding money making opportunities, I prefer that experience.

We see Dr. Andreae who is amazing and we have seen Dr. Feighner once who is awesome too. I would highly recommend Urban Vet Care to anyone looking for a clean, safe place to take your pets. I love this place! They got us in quickly, the entire staff is friendly and the doctors are amazing. They're upfront and honest and I never felt like I was being sold services I didn't need. And, when Bella, (my beagle) had an allergic reaction, they got us in right away and let me stay with her until the meds kicked in. I will continue to take Bella here and I will recommend them to my friends/family.

My newly adopted 7 year old cat started sneezing and stopped eating on Sunday. Monday morning Urban Vet Care was able to get us in and treated my little girl with love and compassion for an upper respiratory infection. On top of antibiotics and something to help with her appetite they gave her fluids. By the time we got home and she was out of the carrier she made a bee line to her food and seems like a completely different cat. Thanks everyone!

Last year I went to a different, highly reputable vet in the neighborhood and had such a horrible experience that I was left reeling. I was then recommended to try Urban Vet Care. My amputee dog is my child, and after last year's exam I was more nervous for the vet than she is! But the second I walked into Urban Vet, I knew I'd have a different experience. Everybody was so friendly and professional. I felt like I was in very capable hands. Sure, they are a *little* pricier than other places...but like I said, my dog is my child and I want to ensure she has the best care possible especially given her condition. We've been coming here for about 8 months (since we got our puppy), and have nothing but good experiences here. We've had no problems ever scheduling an appointment, even if its for the next day. The staff is very professional and helpful, and answer any and all questions a concerned pet parent may have. The typical negative from people is the cost, but when it comes to our pet we aren't really looking for the cheapest vet. We also got our dog spayed here, and the surgery and recover both went very well.

My cat was very ill and eventually had to be put down and they made the process as easy as it could have been. Everyone I spoke to was compassionate and expressed their condolences. Dr. Feighner helped me make a very hard decision and I will forever be grateful to her. I would recommend her to anyone and I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

This is the perfect example of everything that is wrong with veterinary care. The vets use scare tactics to convince you to pay for greatly overpriced, and unecessary services. I brought one dog in with an abscess on his leg. The vet immediately started mentioning cancer and suggested blood work and a battery of test that were very expensive/unwarranted. Instead, I suggested we run a simple blood test, and if it comes back clear we try antibiotics. The blood test was clear and the antibiotics worked great. On another occasion, Urban Vet quoted me $4000 for some dental surgery that I was able to get done at another vet for under $200. You read that correctly- they wanted to overcharge me by $3,800!! Make no mistake about it, this place is a business and they wish to profit off one's emotional attachment to their pet. I understand the need to make a profit, but read those numbers again and then book somewhere else.

Highly recommend for any vet needs. I was able to call and speak with their receptionist at 7:15am to schedule a same day new pet appointment for my dog with conjunctivitis. The place is clean, beautiful, modern and has lots of parking. Everyone here from the front desk, to the vet tech, to the doctor were all friendly, on time, and compassionate. As a physician myself with a clinic in downtown, I was very very impressed. We will be coming here for a long time. Thank you Urban Vet team!

Best vet experience I've ever had! If I could give them 6 stars, I would. As others have mentioned, the folks at Urban Vet Care really seem to care. They're some of the nicest, most accommodating professionals I've ever met in the context of a veterinarian. I'm a first-time dog owner and a "single dad" of a puppy and I'm sure a bit clueless but Urban Vet Care has been nothing but lovely to me. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I'm new to the area, so I checked out yelp reviews before I chose this place, but it's in walking distance and the prices seemed reasonable. They were able to get me and Charlie in the very next day! Which was awesome bc we had a grooming appointment contingent upon his updated shots. The place was very friendly, very clean and smelled nice when we walked in. I watched the other customers before me leave and the front desk all knew them and their dogs by name. We only waited maybe 5 minutes to be seen. The Vet was very friendly, and fast! They took Charlie back to get his shots and he came back SO happy! I've never seen that before. He acted like they just gave him steak or something or told him he was going on a walk. Lol. The only thing I didn't like.. was that they were pretty pushy on the sales front. Push for his teeth cleaning, heartworm test and medication, and for his anal glands. I understand things have to be done but mentioning them as though you're kinda silly for not getting it doesn't work for me. Tell me the option, information, and price, and let me consider. I don't want to be made feel bad for not getting a service at the time it's sprung on me. Other than that it was perfect.

Urban Vet Care is simply the best vet clinic there ever was. The staff is amazingly helpful, kind, and compassionate. Yoda (our cat) has a tendency to vomit in the car, and every time they clean the cage, change the mat and give us an extra. We stopped in today for a FREE checkup and they gave us a FREE bag of dental treats that costs about $20!Dr. Andreae Is funny, straight to the point and honest, and always gives us the perfect solution for Yoda's ailments. She told us today to not ever bothering brushing a cat's teeth, something that every other vet has told us to do. We have been 5 times now and each time there is ample parking, no waiting around, and great service.Simply put, we've been to many other vets and Urban Vet Care surpasses them all by leaps and bounds. Great job!

I recently moved to the highlands from South Denver and needed to find a close vet for my dog, Tater-tot (sharpei mix). Tater is a special creature as she is afraid of almost everything. We were referred to Urban Pet by a close friend and made an appointment. As expected, Tater was very anxious. I was amazed at the effort the staff made to take their time with her. This made me (and I think her, too) more comfortable and relaxed. Overall, I left with all of my questions answered and was provided with all of the information that I need to help Tater with her medical issues. Again, we had a wonderful experience and will be back soon for a teeth cleaning!

We love our vet! Dr. White and the rest of the team are always super attentive and thorough. My dog actually likes coming here and they even contacted our previous vet and got all of her records before her first visit which made my life easier. The only thing is that they close at noon on Saturdays and are closed Sunday, however, they're usually open until 7pm during the work week. With that, I would just suggest you know where your nearest 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital is (they'll happily help you with this, too!) I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet in the area.

I am so impressed with Urban Vet Care. My dog is 13.5 years old. They went over everything they felt he needed. I was impressed by the Vet's knowledge of new things, suggestions she made for some issues he is having and how very nicely both the Vet and the Tech treated this grand old boy. The cost of vet care if usually a consideration for most of us. I appreciated the reasonable cost of care and when an extra test needed to be done, she explained the benefits of doing the test and the cost. I highly recommend Urban Vet Care.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. The actual space (lobby and rooms) are VERY clean! This vet is also conveniently located 1-2 minutes off of Speer & I-25 heading Northwest which is convenient for anyone who lives or works downtown, the Highlands, and the surrounding neighborhoods. I truly had a 5-star experience here. The only minor thing I would suggest is a green area or yard area for pets to go potty when they need to instead of outside and around the corner.

We've only been there a few times but so far, they have done an excellent job taking care of our two little kitties! Our old vet was ok but after a few friends came to Urban Vet Care, we decided to switch and we are very happy with the decision. One of our kitties had to get dental surgery and the vet who took care of him was friendly, informative, and reassuring as we were a bit nervous about him going under. Everything turned out well! The staff as a whole is friendly and accommodating and the place is clean and welcoming.

Dr. White got down on the floor with Penny to make her feel more comfortable and when Penny got worried about going into a small room all the staff helped encourage her and praised her. I drive from Wash Park to see Dr. White because she is so kind and you can tell she loves what she does. Take your animal here! They will love your animals.

Cats hate the vet, it's a scientific fact. Being shoved in a carrier then taken outside to the car is traumatic enough, let alone taking them to a place that smells like other animals where they get poked and prodded. Makes sense why they don't enjoy it.I used to have a vet who makes house calls and that was amazing. That service isn't available in Denver but Urban Vet is the next best thing. They're less than a mile from my house and there's tons of parking available so you can scoot in with your pet and make it as trauma-free as possible.Shayna my cat had her annual check up, got a relatively clean bill of health and her prescription for crazy cat behavior renewed. All in less than an hour.The day after our first visit, Urban Vet called to follow up and make sure everyone was ok. And a week later we got a postcard. Very thoughtful.

I just had my first visit to Urban Vet Care and all I can say is WOW!
We were seen as soon as we arrived and Dr. Lawson was incredibly patient and kind with my somewhat protective pup. How many vets will sit on the floor and play with your dog until the pup is 100% comfortable? You can tell that Dr. Lawson truly loves dogs.
I was a bit concerned about price since none of the other review's really mentioned it, but the exam (and vaccines) was super affordable, especially considering how high the quality of service is.
My dog went in with her tail tucked and came out tail wagging, which sums up our whole experience.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm looking forward to her wellness exam next year!

I only had one appointment here for a regular check up for my 5 year old cat, so I can't comment much on the quality of service, but this place is definitely trying to find any way they can to make a buck. I was given more than one sales pitch on why I should spend $400 to have my cat anesthetized for a teeth cleaning. The vets did not seem knowledgeable, my cat had just lost her vision and everyone just shrugged their shoulders at why this might happen and said I would need to spend thousands of dollars on tests to find out why.
I have had vets in the past that focus more on quality of care than finding money making opportunities, I prefer that experience.

I love this place! They got us in quickly, the entire staff is friendly and the doctors are amazing. They're upfront and honest and I never felt like I was being sold services I didn't need. And, when Bella, (my beagle) had an allergic reaction, they got us in right away and let me stay with her until the meds kicked in. I will continue to take Bella here and I will recommend them to my friends/family.
