Charged for anything and everything. Way too expensive. My vet tried to help me and discount some things and then got in trouble for it from the higher ups. That should have been a bigger red flag right there. Doesn't show concern for the animal only the bill. The severity of my dogs injury was not conveyed properly either so the recovery has been delayed and complicated. My dog kept getting his cast off and instead of putting a better, larger, stronger wrapping they just kept cramming his paw into a splint that was too small. 3 casts/ 300 dollars later a "custom" cast is made that fit better like i had been asking the entire time. I've been bringing my German Shepherd here for regular visits since he was just a few weeks old, and the staff have always been super friendly and resourceful. Dr. Adams is very sweet and understanding, and Ashley the vet tech is very personable when it comes to my pup's care! Felt like they were looking for anything and everything to charge us for. Example: they had just taken my kitties temperature and she was cleaning the area. I absolutely adore VCA. I have never had anything other than smiling faces and professional staff. I was in and out in 45 minutes today. Additionally, they're very flexible with getting you in, which as someone with two jobs, I greatly appreciate. Yes, it is expensive. Most vets are expensive. Dr. Calloway has worked tirelessly to figure out a tough ear infection my cat has. She is very professional, friendly, and honest - she hasn't tried to get me to pay for services I don't need, and always gives me my options. They entire staff is very friendly. My old Vet Randy McCarty is why we started going here--he was the absolute best bar none--However, Randy has retired but we started with a new Vet and we love her too. The staff are fantastic also. I have never had such an amazing experience with a vet. We walked in with a cat who I had thought was constipated. We were seen very quickly and immediately the doctor recognized it was a much more severe issue with his bladder. She sent us straight to the hospital and made sure he had pain meds to get him there. For the next month I called often to ask questions and they were so supportive!! I am so greatful for them and will continue to bring my cats there. Read Less

This is an awesome veterinary clinic with great prices. Vet bills can get out of hand quickly, but the VCA works with you and your budget to make sure your animal is getting the care it needs without you going bankrupt. Throughout a ridiculous, years-long process of my dog starting to experience severe allergies, giving herself skin infections as a result of all the scratching, and all the hassle that comes with identifying the cause, this place was patient and awesome. Bottom line: everyone here, from the intake staff to the vet techs to the vets themselves, are wonderful to work with. Rude staff! I was stressed out about my hurt dog and she was extremely rude to me when I said I couldn't get there in 10 minutes as I lived 20 mins away. She cared more about my history of my dog rather than his severity of his injured foot. Sorry you don't like my voice but your concern for the customer is extremely insensitive. I called urban vet they were VERY sweet and caring and got me in today. As a retired vet assistant myself I will NEVER use this place. Read Less

Overpriced. They never suggested a diet for my 15 yr old cat even when I asked if that would help with all the UTIs. I simple got a comment something like - we're just happy she's eating anything. They did suggest another vet that gives great care at half the price. AND put her on a diet that has made her much better. Read Less

I have so many great things to say about VCA Firehouse! I've been bringing my rescue pup there for over a year since he was about 3 months old. Just to name a few things I love about VCA Firehouse: 1. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and organized 2. The facility is very nice, clean and refreshments/snacks are always available 3. My pup (Frankie) is ADORED by the staff and they always remember his name and give him lots of love 4. I receive customized reminders in the mail of what shots and/or appointments Frankie is due for 5. I ALWAYS receive a follow up call from Dr. H regarding Frank and how he is doing after each appointment 5. Upon joining VCA Firehouse, I received a complimentary bottle of wine :) 6. The sympathetic and kind staff got my 16 year old cat back to her normal self within 2 days of being diagnosed with kidney failure which caused her to become constipated. I'm so thankful I had them to relieve her pain and discomfort quickly and in a gentle manner. The office is clean and welcoming and the doctors and support were really sweet and attentive. I'll be bringing all my animals to them moving forward. They are available to discuss price before doing any procedures and gave me many options for treatment. Read Less
