Went here for my dog's nail trim, and I'm so very disappointed. I usually cut the tips off by myself but with the vitamins my dog is taking, his nails have grown long. So this time I wanted a professional to cut them to a length where I can just maintain. Rather than go to a groomer, I opted for a vet. Well the experience I had here was far from professional (and I feel bad saying that). The girl only cut the tips off of his nails, and they were actually still touching the floor when she was done. I pointed this out at the time and asked the vet to cut them shorter. She said she felt uncomfortable doing so, since his nails are black. She basically ignored my concerns and said "oh they will be fine". Hey a simple google search will tell you that the nails should not be touching the ground, but what do I know. I felt that a "vet" should have more experience and professional behavior. They gladly took my $25 though! I won't be back and can't recommend this place. The only redeeming factor was the front desk staff who were more than friendly and helpful. If only they could have recommended another place to go for a nail trim, since this one was a fail.... This Animal Hospital has been a god send to our 👪. I will be traveling from California just to use them as our vet! They take their time with you, they are always smiling, they do not over charge, they are thorough and CARE. Our small Chi hua hua is older and has Addison Disease, and he needs that added care. We were visiting Estes Park over the holiday weekend and we discovered a big gash/hole on our dogs chest (super scary!). We aren't sure how it happened, but we called and Dr. Fish said we could bring her in to be seen in an hour (he was stitching up another dog when we called). The Dr. Fish and the tech that was there were incredibly kind and welcoming to us. They were on call for the weekend and I'm sure they would have rather been enjoying time off. You wouldn't know it by how welcoming, friendly, and patient they were with us. Within an hour, our pup had been sedated, stitched up, and even a nail trim.  They answered every question we had and gave our pup wonderful care. We are home now and she is recovering nicely.  I can't thank these wonderful people enough for helping our Bailey girl! If I lived in town, this would be our regular vet for sure. As new Estes residents, we went here for the first time to put my 14 y/o German Shepherd down. Everything went well enough until it came time to get my dog's ashes back. It took over 3 weeks to hear from them. I had pre-paid for the service ($170) and then never heard back from them. I checked in after over a week and they said it would be another week. After 3 weeks I finally called them back and they told me, "Oh sorry we had your phone number in the computer wrong". That is unacceptable! Dr. FIsh and Dr. Bryant are the best!! All the staff really love and are very knowledgeable about animals! I would highly recommend them! Best vet I've ever found. I tried several vets in the Boulder/ Denver area as that's where I used to live, but none compare to the compassion and knowledge of these wonderful vets! Read Less

I had a VERY GOOD Dog experience with Dr. Jeff Fish and his crew after one eyed Jack had a bout with tummy troubles (visualize keeping the carpet cleaner on standby for the better part of a week....).  Poor old One-eye was barfing all over the house for a few days and I called in to make an appointment for the next day.  Dr. Jeff called me back within minutes to make sure my dog was well enough to make it another day before coming in, and gave me about 10 minutes worth of instruction and compassionate counseling on the matter.  I showed up the next day, was seen early, and my dog was treated.  Dr. Jeff wanted to settle Jack's tummy before doing XRAY$ and SONOGRAM$ and Bloodwork to see if we could get it in control with some simple treatment.  Jack was given SC saline, and an anti nausea drug and was sent home with special bland food.  Jack also was put on a diet for a few days, limiting his food and water intake so he could not gorge on water and barf.  The water barfs are actually the easiest to clean up, just FYI.  We are at hour 28 and no more barfs!  I will update my review if the experience changes, but as of now, I've got a new great vet in Estes Park! Dr Fish is the most caring vet we have ever used. Their prices are also very reasonable compared to other vets. Even though we live in Texas most of the time, we prefer to take our two dogs to Dr. Fish because his prices are less than we any of the local vets in Austin, TX. Very good at what they do.  Flexible and caring.  We have a bullmastiff who can be a bit hard to handle.  They are great with him. Separate entrance for cats and dogs.  Also, a "pet lodge" is part of the complex.  We have used them and they are food as well. Read Less

Our pup had diarrhea for a few days and we tried to solve it on our own, when it continued to get worse we called the emergency number (as they are closed on Sundays) and Dr.Bryant met me at the offices within 15 minutes! Unreal how willing she was to care for our needs. Read Less

My dog got sick while we were on vacation here. I called in the morning and got an appointment before noon. The vet was really good with my dog, he figured out the problem right away, and sent us on our way with medicine and prescription food. We did not have to cancel our vacation and my dog got better within a day. The visit, medicine, food and testing costs were very reasonable. Read Less

We have been taking our pets to AMC for over 10 years.  You won't find a more caring, expert veterinary hospital anywhere.  Drs. Fish and Bryant have cared for our pets as well as their owners with kindness and competency that is rarely found.  If there are unusual questions or problems, they don't hesitate to resource with friends at one of the top vet schools in the country, nearby Colo. State Univ., to give the most up-to-date treatment.  We also can't say enough about the support staff at AMC, as well. Read Less

These veterinarians do excellent work. They are flexible when working with emergencies and have personally saved my dogs life twice. The previous review is a black eye on this clinic that is doesn't deserve. The Estes Park Pet Lodge is a pet lodging facility attached to the vet clinic but run separately. Don't think the Animal Medical Center-Estes Park is a bad place because of something that happened at another facility. Read Less
