It is unfortunate that the only after hours veterinarian clinic in the Greeley/Evans area is staffed by incompetence. I understand a $100 office visit, however when you don't get service for a simple procedure and are only getting smoke blown up your backside because they want to sell and complete services for up to $800-$1,000 more, it is clear to see what their priorities are. So, possibly maybe a couple minutes examining my dog and five more minutes of smoke blowing I left with my dog a $100 less in my pocket, no services rendered. I was certainly mistaken in assuming this was a legitimate business. Save yourself some frustration and drive to Loveland, they certainly could not be worse! I wish I could rate this at a 0. This was the worst clinic I have ever set foot in. I took my pup in for a dog bite and they charged me 750 for them to suture his ear and do a thorough exam on him. They said, "there is a puncture wound on his chest, just let it drain." 10 days later there is a hole, about 2 inches wide and 3 inches long where the wound was. I took him into my vet and he had to have another 500 dollar surgery due to lack of thoroughness.... my dog had 2. Not 1. But 2 teeth from the other dog in the puncture wound that they missed. My vet was not pleased that the ER vet missed the 2 teeth abd didn't place a drain. My other dog was neutered at this same ER clinic a week after the first pup had his surgery and I called them because his incision is extrememy red. The girl I spoke with on the phone said I would have to pay for him to be checked again. Her attitude was very snobby and uncaring about my dogs. I told her if I have 2 different pets with 2 different surgeries and 2 different infections from this ER, that's a poor sign about their practice. I wish I could upload pictures. My cat had cancer and was dying and this vet WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND I was whailing and crying and they cried with me and went above and beyond. Their kindness and love is unmatched and this vet gives you answers, expert experience and they treat you like a human being with respect and love. I never review, but this was a terrible experience. I found a cat injured on the highway at 12am. It had a gash in its leg and it was bleeding, so I brought it here. They asked me to get the cat and I told them that the cat didn't want to be touched so I could use help. They came out to my car and opened many doors and one vet attempted to scare the cat towards the other vet. Of course, with so many doors open, the cat fled through one of the other open doors. They just watched the cat run away and said "Well, if it can run it's fine", chuckled a bit, and walked back inside. Not sure why others had a bad experience. The vet techs and receptionists were very friendly and professional as was the Vet. Yes it's a little more expensive than your normal Vet ($30 more for us) but it's a hospital and your vet isn't available at 11p.m. or 24/7, 365. We had no pressure, just options given. Read Less

DONT USE THIS CLINIC!!! I took my boxer in for uncontrolled bleeding in her leg. They were able to stop the bleeding and glue my dogs leg wound up. I was told that if the split came open to just bring her back so that they could just put a band around the leg since it was in a weird spot. That night I was happy. However, tonight my dogs wound came open and when I called to see if I could come in to get that band the receptionist said I would be charged the $98+ exam fees AGAIN!!!!! I told her that is not what I was told and she said that since they are an emergency hospital they will charge me for coming in. They charged me a lot of money for a temporary fix! This hospital saved my dogs life. They took incredible care of her when she was hospitalized and I must say they have people there who genuinely care about your animal. However I would be remiss to not to warn people of three things: they require payment upfront, they are expensive and it's a good idea to take notes if your animal is there for more than one shift as communication between shifts was spotty. My dog somehow managed to get an abscess just above his eye. It was the day after Christmas, our normal vet wasn't open, and his eye was almost swollen shut, so we took him to Pets Emergency Hospital. They were able to drain the abscess, give him some pain meds and antibiotics, and we had our little dog back to normal in a couple days. It was a little pricey, but that's why I carry pet insurance so one incident doesn't mean bankruptcy or having to choose between his health and our bills. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of vet services outside of regular business hours. Read Less

Well i took my dog to them on Sunday morning at 8 oclock for a SEVERE laseration which cut a major tendon as wel as a major artery,, and the doors wasnt only open,, but the people were as open as the door!! If I coud rate this place on how actually felt it would e -10 stars....What a joke this place is, they could give two shits less about the animals just about getting paid. $89 dollos for the to do absolutely nothing except do tell me what the Weight an temperature was of my dog. Did not do an exam of anything. But for $1700 or moe they thibkthey could have done something. But the 2 1/2 hours we sat there one would of thought they could try to rehydrate her instead of taking they're sweet ass time, to figure out hwto jack up the price as much as possible. Well worth the price and piece of mind. My 4lb chiweenie got a bad laceration last week. Thought it was probably a cat attack while she was roaming our backyard. I'm a budget conscious mom of 2 and though this cut looked gnarly (2.5 inches or so) I thought I'd let it play out. Not a lot of blood, clean cut, she didnt seem to be in pain, was eating well and had plenty of energy. Thought I could handle it on my own. Bad judgement on my part in hindsight because I could have just gotten a consultation for about $50 just to see what could be done. 6 days later the wound wasn't healing and I was up nights worrying that my baby dog might not recover at all for my lack of judgement. Brought her in and the staff were very professional. I knew I'd left it a bit long but they were very solution oriented and got right to a plan for fixing her up. I felt the pricing was very fair considering all the heartache and worry our whole family had endured watching our little dog be in pain. They were amazing. My puppy ended up getting D-con poisoning and they immediately started to get testing done, xrays, and fluids. They were so calm even with how hysterical I was from her being ill. So my dog had a fight with my sister in law dog. We noticed some blood coming from my dogs paw so wanted to get him checked out to double check. We looked up this place and took him in since it said 24 hrs. Everything seemed like a good place and I was able to stay with my dog. First tech came in and I filled out some paperwork. Then after they took the paperwork I talked about what happened and she asked details.  Nothing out of the normal so far, she even told me ways to help him recover then she left to get the quote on how much it will be. When it was brought in, wow, was all I could think. Visit and them to do some things was $260 but everything would have been over $300+. I might not be a well trained vet but I know when I'm going to get the shaft. Told them no thank you and paid my $81 for the visit and gonna take care of my dog myself. Save your time and effort. My wife and I have had to bring both our Labrador retrievers there many times. Our dog was hit and killed last year and at the time we brought her in she was already gone. They treated her body with dignity and the staff was extremely sympathetic to our situation. Just recently our two dogs got into a tussle with each other and sustained minor injuries. Both dogs were put under sedation and treated for their open bite wounds. I brought them in for rechecks and the wounds healed up nicely. the staff truly cares! Read Less

Since I am not made of money I chose the option somewhere in the middle. Due to the treatments (e.g. medication and special food) my dog was able to maintain a high quality of life for several more years with very little pain. Should have read reviews before I went :( money hungry place doesn't care about pets. They slapped me with a $1290 bill & asked me to sign guilting me my cat would die without a catheter put in. I couldn't do it. Begged them to at least give me pain meds for it...$185 later I left. Monday morning took him to a regular vet & a $30 urinalysis showed he had a UTI...$90 later I left & my cat is on the mend. I called & talked to the head doctor at Pets & he was "sorry" but no compensation for a WILD MISDIAGNOSIS!!! Glad I was smart & only out $185...others haven't seemed so lucky. There were people in there while I was there feeling awful & discussing their dogs $1000+ bill....makes ya wonder! I will never return to this business! Read Less

It's disgusting that they would put you through that when your family member is dying. She was admitted for 24 hours. Two blood tests were done and they were reluctant to email them to us for review by our regular vet. After they gave us the blood work and status of our dog they tried to get us to keep her there another day. Our vet had no hesitation in advising that wasn't necessary at all. They just wanted more money from someone who obviously doesn't have much. Dr Castle was unhelpful, indecisive, rude, and uncomfortable to be around. When we were checking out the secretary couldn't read, the word "only" was spelled wrong on my paperwork, and doctor couldn't be bothered to bring my dog out, despite there not being another patient in the entire building. My dog, led by who I believe was a nurse and was covered in urine. This place is a poor excuse for a hospital. Have a plan in place to bring your pet elsewhere. Read Less

I took my  very sick cat there today.  They grabbed him took him in the back have me paperwork to fill out.  Then a tech comes out to talk and hands me a 750 dollar bill for test they would like to preform. What have you been doing this whole time?   Not helping my dying cat but making a list of tests you would like to preform as long as I pay in advance. I tell them I have 300 on me..will pay the rest.  She says she will talk to the Dr.  more time wasted.  She then comes out and says they will gladly wait while I call family and friends to borrow the money.  Refused to help him unless paid 750 NOW before they will even look at him.  I scoop him up and take him to another vet by them to much time had been wasted. I cannot say enough nice things about my experience with PETS Emergency. I came home Sunday evening to find my 11 year old dog Einstein had died. He had not been sick at all. I was devastated and being new to the area, had no clue who to call. My pet sitter told me about PETS. From the initial phone call, to delivery of Einstein to PETS, to today when I picked up his ashes, I and Einstein were treated with respect, dignity and loving consideration. I received a condolence card from them Tuesday. When I picked up Einy's remains today, I was given them in a lovely box and also was given a very thoughtful, wonderful gift - a heart with Einy's paw print (dirt and hair included) and his name written on it.
