We were so impressed with this place! My dog got a hollow bone stuck on her lower jaw and after trying unsuccessfully to get her unstuck ourselves, we were anticipating they would have to sedate her and saw it off. Thank you!! I have had to bring two pets (a dog and a cat) to this clinic and both times, the vets and techs handled the situations with great care, empathy, and thoroughness. Both animals I brought in are not easy to handle at the vets but all staff members here always managed the conditions expertly and kindly. While the desk staff could have had a bit better attitude (she seemed bored to be there) the Vet who was available was very empathetic and worked quickly. Our cat faded fast and they were able to put her to sleep quickly and let us spend as much time with her afterwards. They also sent us a sympathy card a week later. Obviously having to visit for my doberman's injury was not a happy one, I was so grateful to have such an excellent experience. Dr. Vincent Panissidi, DVM did a wonderful job explaining my pup's studies, imaging, and surgery. She is post op day 6 today and doing great. The cost estimate was given to me before any tests were done to make sure I was comfortable with the cost of care - which ended up being an over estimate (much appreciated over an under estimate!) so expectations were appropriate. Great post op instructions, thorough explanations, and very sweet concern and compassion for my Phoenix. Would highly recommend! Read Less

This post is much long overdue. All the staff at this emergency vet are phenomenal!! My Pittie, Willo, is my best friend. They treated her soo well and didn't judge her one bit by her appearance like other vets have in the past. I could even tell she felt the same, this was the first time she EVER acted comfortable at a vet. After all was said and done and I came to pick her up, the sweet woman at the front desk let me know she sat in back and just cuddled my baby girl because she could tell she needed it. These people are all amazing and make it very apparent who they are there for, our pets. I wish they could be our every day vet! Great job everyone and Thank you, from the bottom of our heart! We took our dog to the clinic on New Year's Day because he was unable to let go of his life on his own. The vet and staff gently carried him out of the car, called him €Handsome,€ and loved him. So grateful for the Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency and Rehabilitation Hospital. After my Chihuahua/Jack Russell puppy got attacked by a German Shepherd, I was certain she wasn't going to make it. The hospital kept me very informed on her status, and when I was thankfully able to bring her home, they pickled up the phone day and night to answer my panicked questions and kept me calm. I love that they were available this morning at 3:30 when my dog was not himself. Even at 3:30 in the morning the tech and Dr. were both so friendly and efficient. They did X-rays and found he had a possible blockage. I work at another vet hospital in town, so they stabilized him until we could get his surgery done a few hours later. We have unfortunately now lost 2 pets, both having to be put to sleep while at the ER vet hospital. The staff have always been very informative, upfront, accommodating, and compassionate to both humans and our fur babies. They acted quickly and efficiently in order to reduce the suffering of our babies. I really appreciated them being available to see our dog over the Thanksgiving holiday. The staff were all very compassionate and thorough, and made themselves available for any questions. And they went above and beyond to make the treatment affordable for us, including researching the cost of medications at various pharmacies. It is hard to review a place like this because of the outcome I experienced. Even though my dog lost his fight, it was the staff and their attention to Sam that made the decision possible. The entire staff from the front desk to the doctor made sure we were informed and every move they made was to better Sam's experience. Our boxer mix had a large cut on his side, took him in from a friends referral and couldn't have been happier. Our very vet shy dog was met with patience, understanding, and treats. We had to take him back in to get the staples out and again they did everything they could to save us money and him stress. They took good care of my cat I'll give them that, but they charge outrageous rates and had no problem putting a college student over $2000 in debt for a UTI, that did not even require any kind of surgery. I had suspicions that they were over charging me but did not know how much veterinary practices usually cost, however, my suspicions were confirmed when one of my friends told me she used to work there and they up charged everything to ridiculous rates. She told me she used to feel bad telling people there bill because it was alway nearly double what it should have been! I would recommend going to the CSU emergency hospital where they don't put profit at the very top of their list, I will never return to this hospital. Read Less

I wish I could rate these people higher. I had a horrible day of trying to get my dog some help for a really bad cut on her leg. I had people treating my dog like she was nothing and no one would help for under $1000 which had to be played up front. I finally contacted this place which seemed to be heaven sent. On the phone they lady said "I don't know who would charge $1000 for a laceration but it sounds like she really needs help so just being her to me and we will figure out the money after." This lady was so nice that she had me crying in the phone. So we get there and get my dog into a room, and this lady could obviously see the day we had because she brought us hot tea and a blanket for my dog so she wouldn't have to lay on the cold tile. I say with my dog on the floor and the vet tech came in to do vitals. He insisted that we don't move and say on the floor with us, talked to and calmed my dog, and then did all her vitals. Same thing with the vet, she insisted that we stay comfy with the dog and she sat with us working around me to help my dog. They had my dog wagging her tail (which she hadn't done all day) and had me crying with how over whelmingly friendly they are and how much they care. I left my dog for a couple hours so she could finally get fixed up and when I picked her up the vets were very much wanting to help get her to the car so nothing would happen. At the end of it, I payed $500 for far beyond amazing service from people who really care for your animal as well as you. I highly recommend these guys. They are truly incredible people. Read Less

Took my sick cat in Easter Sunday in the evening and they were so great with him. They really listened to us, cared about communicating the situation and possible causes and treatments and got him stabilized an comfortable to return home with us until our normal vet could see him in the morning. The end cost was what we were quoted on the phone, but other charges that we signed off on before treatment was done. They did a great job of discussing options for proceeding, and the end cost was exactly what we were quoted. Read Less
