I brought my dog here for probably the 5th or 6th time since I got her because I was so impressed with how caring the staff was toward my dog who is extremely afraid of going to the vet/getting shots/groomed etc. They always make an effort to be extremely nice to her so she stops being afraid. This initially made me not mind their high prices. However I have never before been charged for things I didn’t consent to. I suspected my dog had an ear infection, I asked them to take a look. Keep in mind we were at a one year checkup. They did and the vet said it looked like an ear infection and then they tested it (p.s. that’s $25, but they won’t tell you that before they do it). Then they come in and clean her ear, keep in mind I already do this at home with the same solution I bought from them. It was presented to me as them being considerate and showing me how to give her ear infection medication, little did I know that’s an extra $30 (once again wasn’t told until I went to pay and saw my statement). Rather than being asked if I’d like to have a service done and then told how much it was I was dropped off at the front desk and left with a pretty hefty bill. I paid and tried to not be disagreeable, but I can say that was my last visit there. I will pay for quality insight from a vet, but to me transparency is important and I feel a little taken advantage of with my recent experience. I will say if you are going to see anyone, see Maura (sp?). Unfortunately I only saw her one time but she is phenomenal and taught me a lot about my dog’s breed characteristics since it is my first time having a Pyrenees. I have a dog with chronic health issues and have been to Moore Animal Hospital at least monthly for more than seven years. Everyone at Moore, from Dr. Maura and the other vets to the vet techs and the staff, is so caring and compassionate, we couldn't ask for better. If you've made a reservation for boarding your pet with Moore Animal Hospital, it is not guaranteed that they'll actually board your pet. Here's my experience: Our dog was diagnosed with kennel cough one day before we planned to board him over Christmas weekend. Our vet did not have an isolation kennel large enough to house a 110 lb dog, so they made a few calls and set us up with Moore Animal Hospital. We had the reservation in place and they even called me in the morning to confirm our reservation and provided us instructions on how to check our dog in. I received a call 2 hours before we were going to drop our dog off (and 2 hours before we were going to head out of town) that the isolation unit had to be used for an infectious dog and they could no longer accommodate our dog. They told us that the infectious dog may infect our dog while he was in the isolation unit. My dog was also infectious so I can not comprehend how a dog without a reservation took priority over a dog with a reservation.Moore Animal Hospital did not offer to assist us in finding alternative boarding for our dog and left us high and dry 2 hours before we needed to leave to catch a flight over a holiday weekend. Moore Animal Hospital made a stressful situation infinitely more stressful. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of service I received. This vet is highly unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone. Read Less

I am so impressed with Moore Animal Hospital. I went in as a new patient and was immediately greeted by several staff personnel as if they'd known me for a long time. Jack received so much care from every individual that interacted with him. I love that they can provide prescriptions on site and their Give Back program is such a wonderful idea! The doctor and technician were both very gentle in their communication with me. I felt like the visit was comprehensive and easy for me to understand. Now they're charging me 100$ per day because I couldn't afford the huge charge they surprised me with when I've been able to drop in and not worry for the past 3 years while paying 26$ a month. This left me 2 hours to find a place for my dog to stay before we needed to leave to catch a flight over a holiday weekend. Moore Animal Hospital made a stressful situation infinitely more stressful. Absolutely the BEST veterinary clinic in Northern Colorado. We have gone here for years and seen Dr. Buckner whom we LOVE.  The staff is accommodating, loving with our dogs and genuinely good people. Over the years we have had several Dogs and Dr. Buckner & Mark have provided excellent preventative health care as well as come to our home during the most difficult times they have cried with us and been a tremendous support for our family. From start to finish my experience was fantastic! My only regret is I didn't get a chance to thank Marissa, Dr. Kayla and Katie for being so awesome and helping me so much! My dog is very anxious and I knew the waiting room would be a hard experience for both of us. But they got us into a calming room that really helped make the visit less scary for my dog. As a first time animal owner (we went from 0-3 in less than 6 months) I was worried about the cost and care given to my new family members. The staff has been nothing but kind and helpful. I adore my choice of veterinary office! As most people do, I love my dog as a family member. So it means a lot when I say I trust Moore Animal Hospital. They are outstandingly friendly! Every single employee greets me, going out of their way to drop tasks and come say hello to me and my dog. I was given a tour of the entire facilities. Employees are kind, slow down to answer all questions, never make me feel silly for worrying, and make me feel like I have a feel for all that goes on there. They also spoil my dog! She gets treats, a special "pup-uccino" while I drink a complimentary coffee... They are also transparent with prices. These people are amazing! I can not describe how wonderful everybody at Moore Animal Hospital have been. Our cat got an ulcer in her eye and this team took care of her as if she was one of their own. They were worm and welcoming and took me through every step of they way. They have really created an amazing welcoming and caring staff and environment for all the animals they see as well as for everyone who comes in. So professional and caring. I have taken two of my dogs to Moore, and both have been treated very well. The staff, especially Stephanie, did a great job explaining all of our options for our new puppy, and even offered to write a recommendation for our landlord. The staff is very knowledgeable, not too aggressive in treatment, and educate you to make the best decisions for your pup. We were not pressured into anything and they made sure we knew what procedures were taking place. I've been taking my pets to Moore Animal Hospital for more than a year. The staff is always friendly and the facility is clean. The rub is I oftentimes feel like I'm being gouged on prescriptions or other items like supplements for my pets. It also feels like when you take your car to the dealership for a specific issue and the service dept comes up with something else that needs to be addressed for far more than you were expecting to pay. That's happened a couple of times. I recently had a visit to update shots, which would have been around $25-$30. When I mentioned another possible issue, the doc prescribed treatment without knowing for sure what was causing the problem. Kind of like a guessing game, funded by me. End result - I paid $170 for the visit and prescription and the issue persists today. Had the doc given my pet a thorough examination, Which I ended up having to pay $50 for, she could have eliminated part of the prescription. Bottom line - courteous staff and clean facility, but I believe this clinic is concerned more with money than it is with providing quality, consistent pet care.Read Less
