Dr.Mark was very patient with Cheef, full of information and honest. I hope together we can figure out these seizures. I liked that he did not do unnecessary testing. Most vets I feel would've killed my wallet, but Dr.Mark was genuine wants to look into Cheef's records from our old vet back in Florida before further steps. He has honored my desire to be conservative in the treatment of one dog's issues to see if time would work for us. When time was of the essence he tackled issues with everything available. We took our puppy to paws of the Rockies as soon as we adopted her, using the free check that the animal hospital provides to pets coming from shelters. The attention was magnificent since then, with a great staff who seem to genuinely care about our pet. They were available when we had doubts and concerns, willing to provide knowledge and tranquility when we were freaking out about any issue. The follow up after any visit is worth mentioning. My first puppy, Oreo, was treated with most love and kindness by Dr. Mark and everyone else at Paws of the Rockies Animal Hospital. She was a particularly sick puppy in the end of her life, and the way she was treated by Dr. Mark was really amazing. As soon as I got a new puppy (4 years later) I took her right back to Paws of the Rockies even though I now live an hour away. Mark and his staff are by far the best that I've experienced. They take the time to really examine and diagnose properly.  My previous vet office had rotating vets making it difficult to get familiar or comfortable with any one vet. My dog had severe skin irritations, weight gain and almost zero energy, I knew something was wrong.Mark diagnosed my 7 year old boxer mix with hypo-thyroid after only 2 visits. Incompetence lost you business today. Last week I scheduled an appointment for today, but when I showed up you did not have me on the schedule at all - not today or any other day. The only plausible explanation for this is the person that I spoke with on the phone failed to actually make the appointment for me. On top of that - instead of being apologetic, sympathetic, or evening offering an explanation....the lady at the front desk simply said I could re-schedule. In reality today was the only day this week that could have worked for me. I did not make an appointment to show up and make another appointment. You have wasted my time, one thing I cannot stand, and it was due to somebody's incompetence on your staff. It seems apparent that my time doesn't mean much to you, but it is worth something to me. My sweet Gertrude was having some digestion issues and when I brought her in the staff was friendly, did a thorough exam and sent me with some information on puppy digestion. They even suggested an inexpensive fix... pumpkin from a can! Would definitely recommend Paws of the Rockies to anyone who cares for their pets like family. Read Less

Mark and his assistants are the best vets we have ever had. We have 2 dogs and a cat and we have had the best care with each of them. He does not over diagnose and has a great disposition. Recently we found a kitten in the street, took her in and Mark took her under his care. She only weighed one pound! She is healthier and has been fostered by one of his assistants.
