It had been a long, frustrating, and expensive road before we found our way to RMVD. We got our boy Ruger as a puppy and after about a year or two he developed serious allergies. He itched his skin raw and opened sores on his belly and his groin. We went to vet after vet and no one could seem to find a permanent, realistic, and decently affordable solution. The first time we saw Dr. Strauss he gave Ruger a few treats and, of course, Ruger loved him. Dr. Strauss gave us our options and priced each one out for us. After we decided the path we wanted to take, the sores started to clear up and quickly went away. We have Ruger on allergy meds, and see Dr. Strauss probably twice a year for check ups. Plain and simple: Dr. Strauss knows what he is doing and his staff is remarkable. He won't waste your time or your money! The care here is so exceptional that we even asked if Dr. Strauss could be our regular veterinarian, which unfortunately is not possible, so we will take what we can get.

Dr. Strauss is FANTASTIC! My regular vet (also a good vert, but not a specialist) said my dog needed a biopsy. This meant full anesthesia and a painful recovery. But Dr. Strauss took one look at her lesions and said, "That's very likely NOT cancer." He then treated her with antibiotics for MCP--a disease she will have for the rest of her life, but one which is very easily and inexpensively managed. His knowledge was precise and correct, and it not only saved us hundreds of dollars, it also saved our pup from have to go under the knife. Additionally, Dr. Strauss a patient and caring doctor who is also very efficient. The staff at his clinic are friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. My dog is extremely stressed out by the presence of other dogs. And so whenever we make an appointment, the whole staff takes care to "clear the way" so she can have a stree-free visit. It's an amazing place, to be sure. I'm EXTREMELY GRATEFUL they are there and that we found them. I highly recommend!

This was the 6th place over a two year period to see Rex regarding his heath problems. Dr. Strauss diagnosed Rex almost immediately. So thankful that Rex is now on the road to recovery.

We came from Left Hand Animal Hospital, who was totally incapable of diagnosing our dog's skin condition after three weeks of visits and tests. Dr. Strauss immediately diagnosed the auto-immune disease and the results started to show within a day. This was a year ago and we have been going back for adjustments and checkups. He is doing a great job and literally gave our old Bobbie a new lease on life.

They are amazing! They are very friendly and you can tell they are looking to help you find the best treatment possible for your pet. They are always great with my dog and were able to identify her allergies quickly. Iam so glad I found this vet. 🙂 They really are awesome!

Dr Strauss is awesome. Quick to identify & solve problem the regular Vet should have.
He & staff were wonderful to my dog who usually gets very stressed in these situations.

I had a an amazing experience with Doctor Strauss and his staff. Â My normally skittish cat was rolling on her back and exposing her belly for Doctor Strauss. Â I have a kitty with extreme allergies and he was able to get them under control. Â I priced out veterinary dermatologist up and down the front range, and found Rocky Mountain to have the lowest prices. Â Not only were the allergy tests cheaper than other vets, they don't hike up the cost of prescriptions.

Dr. Strauss only cares about how much money he can pull out of patients' wallets -- not the health or well being of the dogs. When we told him we couldn't afford thousands of dollars in tests for a condition that he said he was 98 percent sure our dog had, he refused to write us a life saving prescription. Even though he couldn't provide a downside to trying the medication. Basically, he told pay the money, or let your dog suffer or put her down. Clearly, he is in the wrong profession. He should've been a hedge fund manager or a fur peddler. Take your dog anywhere but here if you want someone who will care for him or her.

Dr. Strauss and Andrea are wonderful! They've been treating our dog's allergies for some time now. When we first started bringing our dog to see them, her allergies were out of control and she'd developed mange and severe bacterial and fungal infections on her skin. She'd left 2 other veterinarians scratching their heads on how to manage her. I think I cried during our first consult as I was feeling desperate and out of options. Dr. Strauss and Andrea saw us bi-weekly for months, working diligently to devise an effective plan for our pup. We are pleased to share with Dr. Strauss and Andrea's expertise, her allergies are under control and the infections have resolved. Every step of they way, I felt they treated my dog with same care and consideration they would have shown with their own dogs. I am deeply grateful for what they've done for us. They restored a quality of life for our dog that I didn't think was possible.

Dr. Strauss and his assistant Andrea are extremely caring and professional individuals. They have been responsive and sensitive to our situations with our cats: Zoe, who has environmental allergies, and Finn, who most likely has a rare autoimmune disorder that manifests in the skin, called Pemphigus. Finn has not been easy to treat because of a birth defect that causes a heart murmur, but they have really tried to think outside the box and have been creative in trying every possible solution to try to help us avoid the use of steroids. Even though the alternative treatments didn't work for Finn (and we have had to resort to steroids and hope for the best), we've appreciated the thoroughness of care and the compassion in working through these issues with both of our fur kids. Thank you for your excellent care!!!

It had been a long, frustrating, and expensive road before we found our way to RMVD. We got our boy Ruger as a puppy and after about a year or two he developed serious allergies. He itched his skin raw and opened sores on his belly and his groin. We went to vet after vet and no one could seem to find a permanent, realistic, and decently affordable solution. The first time we saw Dr. Strauss he gave Ruger a few treats and, of course, Ruger loved him. Dr. Strauss gave us our options and priced each one out for us. After we decided the path we wanted to take, the sores started to clear up and quickly went away. We have Ruger on allergy meds, and see Dr. Strauss probably twice a year for check ups. Plain and simple: Dr. Strauss knows what he is doing and his staff is remarkable. He won't waste your time or your money! The care here is so exceptional that we even asked if Dr. Strauss could be our regular veterinarian, which unfortunately is not possible, so we will take what we can get.

Dr. Strauss is FANTASTIC! My regular vet (also a good vert, but not a specialist) said my dog needed a biopsy. This meant full anesthesia and a painful recovery. We came from Left Hand Animal Hospital, who was totally incapable of diagnosing our dog's skin condition after three weeks of visits and tests. Dr. Strauss immediately diagnosed the auto-immune disease and the results started to show within a day. This was a year ago and we have been going back for adjustments and checkups. He is doing a great job and literally gave our old Bobbie a new lease on life.
