Genuine care and no bull spit communication. My oldest was throwing up for a whole day and I didn't know what to do since he's normally healthy. I brought him in without even calling first and they told me he could be seen later in the day. I was waiting for my appointment when they called me saying something opened up earlier. The vet was clear and upfront about the care he needed plus gave me free antibiotics since the only solution was waiting to see what happens next. I ended up bringing him back the next day for further tests, fluids, and boarding for the night. The cost was high since I'm not even a middle classer but it was worth it. They didn't push care on me or pressured me in anyway. Prices were clearly explained. Conclusion: hoping my boys stay healthy but if not then it's Golden Animal Hospital here we come! Read Less

I've been bringing my dog here for a few years and they have always been wonderful. My dog is about as grumpy as they come and the office staff always has a good attitude about it and the vet is very accommodating and treats my dog with the same love and care that she treats the other animals with, despite my dogs tendency to growl. I brought my small cocker spaniel here to have a dental procedure done and have a skin tag removed. When I was checking her in around 8 in the morning one of the vet techs just walked out from the back and took her. She barely even talked with me, she just said we will give you a call when she is all done with her dental. I had to remind them that she was also scheduled to have the skin tag removed. When I picked up the tech just handed over the leash, she again barely spoke. The receptionist had to go get the tech because I needed to know how to care for her after surgery. While waiting to speak with someone the receptionist and I had gotten onto the topic of dog grooming and I told her that I am a dog groomer! Well apparently ALL dog groomers are abusive and she’s doesn’t agree with dog grooming.... seriously??? These people need coaching in manners and compassion. Read Less

Wish I could give them a zero. Most uncaring veterinarian I have ever come across. From the rude receptionist to the worst care from a medical practice I have ever experienced. They do not follow protocols and do not care about your pet's life. I highly recommend going somewhere else. My dog might still be here today if I had not taken her there. Read Less

So i normally love this place. The last experience though will keep me from coming back though! I had the pleasure of talking with Jessica who was awful!! She informed me that the lady the day before gave me the wrong appointment time. Well after getting home Aero was in more pain then before so I call the office again. Once again I had the pleasure of talking with Jessica! I explain what was going on and asked if their was anyway she could get me in. With my poor dog screaming in the background. She said no we are booked until close I said that was fine but I was going to come up and sit in the office tell close and see if someone didn't show up. She loudly cleared her voice and said yea ok do whatever you want. Then hung up. I have used Golden Animal Hospital since 1967 for both my horses and dogs. I have always trusted them and been very pleased with their prices. Last week, one of my horses coliced and Dr. Jen and Emily spent the entire day keeping us up to date and going through the process with us. They were wonderful about explaining what was going on and helping us make a very difficult decision. I am so thankful they were there to help us that day. Read Less

I used them for 20 yrs 2 cats and 3 dogs. I always highly recommended them until this summer I couldn't have been more disappointed in my dogs time of need. Just before the 4th my dog fell seriously sick wouldn't eat couldn't hold water down she wouldn't move. The morning of day 3 I called the only vet I've ever used and was told they couldn't see her for another 5 days because they were short staffed. When I explained she was dehydrated and couldn't keep any water down she told me I could use the ER services at Wheatridge Animal Hospital and was kind enough to inform me that would be very expensive. This the only vet she's known. Checked her out at 6 weeks all her shots even her mom was put down at Golden Animal Hospital now we are being turned away. I got her the last appointment that day at Ward Road Animal Hospital where they immediately put to saline bags in her coat and began aggressive treatment for pancreatites. It wasn't a quick recovery but she is normal now around to enjoy another holiday no thanks to Golden Animal Hospital. Could not be more disappointed their vets and techs are awesome but it's to bad the business end sucks the most when it mattered the most. Read Less

The staff is great, doctors and techs. They take such good care of our dogs and mules. Doug Hill is especially awesome! The only complaints are that it is becoming difficult to get an appointment and the smell of urine when walking into the building.Read Less

The doctors and most of the techs are great. The front desk people are "lacking" compassion & any customer service. I finally had to switch after 11 years because of their front desk. When a client calls because they have a sick animal, sound at least concerned before you say you are completely full and you tell me to find another vet. Read Less
