The vets and staff are great, but they overcharge on everything. I had a dog with recurring problems and they did nothing but band aid the problem for months, while charging me hundreds of dollars each visit. I got a second opinion from another vet in town and had a permanent solution after day 1. No more recurring problems and treatment was about half the cost. Sad, because I really liked this clinic but they nickel and dime you. Read Less

Dr’s Patten & Kellogg are great with my pet, extremely kind and gentle. The staff is excellent also. My dog and I always feel welcomed, listened to and appreciated when we visit. Great folks and great veterinarians!! Dr. Patton is a wonderful vet and a good person. Animal care is expensive and they get that. St. Michaels sent me a coupon, which DID NOT have an expiration date on it or in the email it came in and when I went to use it they told me it for the past month. My new vet does not have the bill ready when you walk in the door, (like st. Michaels does) before anything was ever done. St. Michaels kept telling me they would keep the costs down, but I didn't see any savings at all. They want you to open your check book. Red flags starting going up and one day I starting checking into new vets, and now I am not going broke getting my dogs vet care. Read Less

She took good care of us this morning while we were in for a follow-up eye injury (apparently both of us have had head injuries recently!). Clean, comfortable facility. My son loved the bird who greeted us when we came in and the office kitty with the Mohawk. Dr. Kellogg and Erin were so wonderful with my Daisy, talking to her and I and explaining everything going on. They are so gentle and kind, it feels like they care about you and your pet as if you are family. They saw us same day for a ear infection and worked with us on the bill. Erin even called me the next day to check on Daisy and quoted me our next appointments over the phone.They will be our only vet for out other two pets. Our family's pet, a rat named Rosie, started acting weird and I tried St. Michaels. We had nothing short of a fantastic experience. They were very caring and, when she had to be put down due to old age, they actually stayed open late to accommodate us. The doc was fantastic and so patient with our three kiddos who were really struggling with the loss. We even received a card from them offering sympathies for our loss. I first came across Dr. Patten at a low-cost rabies clinic she held at a feed store. She and her staff were personable and pleasant then, and I was glad to find a vet who walked the talk, cared as much or more about the animals than making money. Years later, a roommate had an elderly dog that was adopted late in life and it was time to end his suffering. Though they had never been a client of Dr. Patten before, the reception was unbelievably warm and sensitive, the rate by far the most reasonable around. There was a separate room for us to spend some time with Louie before the doc came in. Every step was taken to ensure that both we and Louie were comfortable as possible. The passing was entirely uneventful. He didn't flinch, just dozed off swiftly, and it was over. Afterwards, we had the room to ourselves again, and all the time we wanted. Then they helped us put his remains into the car on a gurney. A few days later, we got an unexpected surprise; a condolences card came in the mail, signed and personalized by Dr. Patten and every member of her staff. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better, more capable or caring vet hospital than Dr. Patten and her staff. Thank you so much for being there for us! Read Less

Seriously all four of the ladies at SMCAH have ALWAYS taken the utmost pride and commitment in providing my kids the best in healthcare. My wife and I can't have kids so we sincerely treat our 4 puppies as our kids. We try our best to take care of them and follow the guidance giving by these ladies, and on countless occasions the staff here have gone above and beyond the call of duty to treat our pups like they were the only thing they had to worry about. I can honestly say if it weren't for the team there our Golden Retriever Codie would have died from a bowel obstruction if this skilled set of vet ninjas weren't there to save his life. They provide accurate care plans...are honest about what procedures they feel are needed and which ones can wait...and most of all they take the time to answer every single question I may have with in-depth and precise answers.
