We had just moved into our new home up the hill (literally the first evening), when our then four year old threw a pointy stick for our golden to chase in the backyard.  Unfortunately, as she went to retrieve it, the stick was positioned in such a way as to impail her...going through the back of her throat. So.Much.Blood.I thought for sure that our son was going to watch his dog die in our arms, but we rushed down to Foothills in an attempt to save her (and his innocence).  The folks at this animal hospital saved her life, and saved us from the nightmare of trying to explain to our boy that his dog was gone.We don't use these guys as our regular vet, but if you're in need of a vet in an emergency situation, don't hesitate.  They have your back. I couldn't ask for a more honest, nice and affordable vet. My cat Stella tends to be accident prone and acquires random minor injuries. Dr. Liehr is a great veterinarian. We started taking our dogs and cat to him a couple years ago when we lived in Lakewood and he was the best we have had. He is wonderful with the pets and very helpful. Tells us exactly what he thinks we should do without pressuring. We moved an hour away up to Northglenn last year and still go out of our way to come to his clinic. As long as we are near Denver, we will be coming here. Read Less

The biggest fears of taking your hairy "Kid" to see a vet you've never met before is walking out with a new credit debt and a $90 bag of "all natural" products that's always better than the crap you give your pet... We love Foothills Animal Hospital! Dr. Liehr and his staff are wonderful and I appreciate that the staff Janet changed since we started going there five years ago. Prices are extremely reasonable and I have never felt that any recommended treatment went above the minimum necessary to get my dogs feeling Thierry best.
