We ended up at Fox Hollow because our regular vet didn't work on pocket pets. It was the best decision we could've ever made! Dr. Ross treated our guinea pig with as much care as he would a dog or cat. Then again, he treated our 2nd guinea pig a week later when he got sick. He was very gentle and explained all procedures, medications and cost in detail so there would be no surprises. Now both g-pigs are healthy and happy and we have found ourselves a new vet. So my 8yr old cat Mason has had a lot of urinary problems as of late and has actually had at least 3 obstructions in the last 2 weeks. Today I took him to Fox Hollow and I cannot be more pleased with how our kitty was taken care of. Before we took him in he actually passed the obstruction on his own but we still wanted to take him to make sure that he was ok. The staff was wonderful and very friendly! Dr Ryan was caring and was so careful with our fur baby!! He was able to get him to potty right there in the room to make sure he wasn't blocked and prescribed additional meds and said he was ok to go home. I used to live in the neighborhood near Fox Hollow Animal Hospital, which was how I found out about this clinic. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is outstanding! I took my dog (Sasha) on a hike, and she broke a toe nail. She was super muddy, but needed the nail checked out. Not only did they tend to the broken nail, but they also cleaned her up for me! These folks seriously care! Our family is deployed overseas and our Colorado family was caring for our dog while we transitioned. They live in Southern Colorado and had come to Lakewood for the USDA endorsement so we could fly our dog to us overseas. The vet we had used completely botched the paperwork and we needed another vet withing the HOUR to complete an exam and health certificate in order for our dog to make his flight the next morning.Not only did they agree to help, they got started before our family even arrived. The folks at Fox Hollow went above and beyond to make sure that my dog was in good health when I took him in on a scare this February. My dog was acting very strange, not eating, and didn't have the energy to even follow me around our yard. I took him over to Fox Hollow, having never been there before. I love this place! I have a 2 year old cat with megacolon-a chronic condition that causes BAD, life threatening constipation. He sometimes needs to get cleaned out, and i have taken him there twice for that and had great service even though my kitty is a tough cookie! I recently moved about 30 min from the location and have a vet right next to me and I tried going there-Arvada animal hospital.... well i had a HORRIBLE experience there and they quoted my literally 7x what i was quoted and had paid for at Fox Hollow for the same treatment. Love Fox Hollow and they really care about your pet and will work within your price range. Never going anywhere else again!Update: My cat wound up having to have a very expensive and very difficult subtotal colectomy which removed most of his colon. Fox Hollow is a family vet business and all three, father and two sons, are wonderful. We had two special dogs and we lost one in May after 13 years. Fox Hollow was wonderful through the entire process, providing kind, thoughtful medical guidance on Simon and in the end, compassionate time and space to say good-bye. My big friendly lab was usually resistant to vets, but he never minded going to Fox Hollow and was always pleased to see the Docs. Now, our bloodhound, Jones, is still going and we still 100% trust their careful attention, intelligent expertise and love of our silly dog. I highly recommend Fox Hollow. The way the gave us special time at the end with Simon will forever mark them as the best vets we have ever had. I came home the other night and something was growing on her my guinea pigs eyeball. I panicked and the next morning began calling several vet offices that hopefully they saw guinea pigs. After calling tons and few that did only to be talked to in a nasty tone at those other offices. Fox hollow was the last placed I called and was almost in tears because I was worried about my pet. They got me in today and those front desk ladies are the friendliest people! They greeted me with a smile and I felt comfortable there which meant by piggie was in good hands. The prices are amazing but with my pets whatever they need I'll pay for it but you can tell they really are in it for the well being of animals. Brenda has some how already memorized my dog's and my name only after a few visits and has even recognized me over the phone after like two words - she is awesome. This is a tough review to write.  Our family very recently put our beloved dog to sleep due to pancreatic cancer.  He was 12 and lived a lottery-winning life, but it has nonetheless been extremely painful for us.  The one thing that made this process easier was the unbelievably kind and superb care our dog received at Fox Hollow.  He adored the staff and enjoyed visiting the hospital.  They all obviously love their jobs and it shows.  Through their care, our buddy was able to spend another few months of good health swimming and chasing squirrels.  Our two young boys had the opportunity to help him enjoy his remaining days and to take their time saying goodbye.Dr. Ross personally came to our home on his day off when it was time, and our sweet boy couldn't walk, but still met him with a wag of the tail.  I can only hope I have the good fortune to meet a doctor who will make my passing as peaceful.Because of this, our family will be forever grateful to the folks at Fox Hollow for making our dog a part of their family. I can't thank the staff at Fox Hollow enough for being so kind and compassionate every time I bring in one of my dogs. I recently lost my 19 week old puppy to an unknown virus and they watched him everyday for about a week to make sure he had constant care. Dr Tim was constantly there for us answering any questions we had as well as supporting us in anyway he could. Every time I dropped my puppy off and picked him up everyone there was so kind to me and supportive. After he passed away they continued to support and encourage us, they sent us such a thoughtful card with so many positive things from several of the staff members to help us through this horrible time. We came into Fox Hollow on an emergency. Our 10 year old greyhound lept/fell off of a high wall onto concrete at Red Rocks. We had to act extremely fast as Loki was going into shock and we had no idea the extent of his injuries. We rushed Loki to the nearest vet, which was Fox Hollow. They immediately took him in and started their exam. There was the Doctor on staff, and 4 assistants, all on Loki. They were calm and new exactly what to do, each person taking a different responsibility and getting Loki comfortable and examined quickly. Being new to Colorado I was in need of a new vet for my 6yr old English mastiff who has always had a slew of health issues. With that being said, I am very picky about who cares for her as she is my big baby! I was very happy to find this place! The Yelp reviews were great and my experience at the clinic was very pleasant. Only reason it's not a 5 star is due to the wait time, I was there for quite a while. They were all of course very apologetic and I understand things and emergencies happen. Once my dog and I were seen the tech and vet (Dr. Bills I believe) were very friendly and thorough. He was sure to answer all of my questions and go over treatment suggestions/options without rushing me out the door, which is something I've experienced at several other clinics. I couldn't say enough wonderful things about these amazing doctors and staff. I've referred many friends & even strangers! They're so friendly & passionate towards animals AND their owners. They see an animal, not big $$. They all love their jobs & it shows through their care. My first visit was to help a sick hamster our family had. Dr. Tony was amazing then & amazing now when he (just)did major surgery on one of our cats, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer during a visit 2 days prior. Dr. Tony & his amazing staff have given so much support since her diagnosis 3 weeks ago. Since surgery, she's needed 8 follow up visits to check and take care of a stubborn infection & wound care without any charges! Many of the doctors there have also been helping out our other cat (15 yrs old) who had been diagnosed with a thyroid disorder 6 months ago. They've been so supportive, giving options along the way, because there has been a lot of blood work needed along with many visits to get her medication adjusted & her thyroid level down. Spay went well except they took my puppies baby teeth out, stitched in her mouth and didn't tell me when I picked her up. I saw the same color stitches in her teeth that were in her belly and thought she had eaten one of them. This threw me into a panic. I looked closer and saw that there were 3 more... Absolutely amazing vets! Dr. Ross took the time to make sure my pet was calm and happy. When my puppy stayed anxious, Dr. Ross took him outside in the sunshine where he had more space to stay calm....he of course gave him ample treats and was able to easily do his check up from there. When he realized that my puppy loved the main Vets golden retriever, he had the retriever come back inside with us and into the room . From that point on my puppy was no longer stressed out and absolutely happy to be in the vets office. I would recommend this vet to anyone with any type of animal. Dr. Tony has taken care of our 5 Goldens over a span of 27 years .He is the only Veterinarian I have ever seen an animal run to greet in the clinic waiting room, as mine all did ---they loved him. As Dr. Ryan & Dr. Ross joined Fox Hollow , our furry "boys" loved them too. At present we are "petless" (well, we do have a fish---) but when we do get our new puppy, hopefully next year ,we will definitely be back at Fox Hollow. The stars aligned...   literally how many things can collide into a perfect storm?  While we hope no one experiences anything similar to our jailbreak escape artist and his little brother who just couldn't keep up and ended up struck by an auto, if you do, Fox Hollow will be your light at the end of the tunnel.  Shenanigans, all while we were away from home.  How's that for a "Welcome back; never go grocery shopping again?"  Seriously though, our year and a half old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Beau, followed after his older Blue Heeler Mix, Gus (who ate through the fence, mind you), right into traffic and was struck.  Major road rash, swelling and inflammation, and of course, lots of blood.  He was able to find his way back to our home and awaited us when we arrived home. Meanwhile, the escape artist was picked up by Animal Control and his chip paved the way for his safe arrival back to us. After cleaning Beau up, monitoring his status through the night and googling more than is good for a human worried about a furry friend, we found Fox Hollow via Yelp (no one should live without Yelp).  We arrived when they opened their doors and they greeted us with smiles, caring patience, and attention to the details I left in both an email to them well after they closed, as well as an early am voicemail.  Beau was seen immediately and Dr. Ryan kept us updated, spoke with clarity and explained each step as well as their findings.  Beau hung out for the day and was ready to join the family again that same night.  Detailed instructions, more meds than should be allowed (just kidding - but seriously, this dog was well cared for - better than some humans!) and a wagging tail - we were happy to take it!  We took him back for a quick check up today and again, we felt like family.Price? Really reasonable considering the circumstances. We've found our vet for life and are quite happy with our choice.  Bummer that our paths crossed in the way that they did, but c'est la vie. First time at Fox Hollow Animal Hospital for a well puppy visit and shots.  We were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff, Immediately taken into an exam room where my puppy was just showered with love and attention by the tech who all came into to see him along with the resident Golden Retriever - Barrington who hung out with my guy making him feel comfortable. Dr Brooke came in and spent at least a 1/2 hour with us, answering all my questions and performing a very thorough exam. It's very evident that these folks absolutely love animals and their jobs. I felt guilty when they gave me my bill. Wondered if they had forgotten to charge me for something but the receptionist said they hadn't. I called this vet after calling a couple other in the area after just having moved to Littleton. My dog was acting weird with her eyes swollen shut. They told me to bring her in that night and they would not charge for an emergency appointment. When I came in, they welcome us with so much warmth and love even though you could tell they were very busy. They looked at my dog right away (no wait time) and gave her exceptional care with, again, so much warmth and love. Then I took a tour of the clinic while my dog hung with the receptionist.
