I just had such a traumatic experience here. I had questions about their required signature page that gives consent for them to take my animal from my car, perform whatever services the vet deems necessary or desired, and then if I cannot afford the bill, they will keep my pet. Additional paperwork expressly states that they will refuse to return your pet due to inability to pay. It was harsh, frightening/threatening, and really just unkind. I was incredulous and when I dared to question it, Benina (front desk woman) could not or would not admit that that is what the form was saying, and refused any disclosure that fees will be presented prior to services being completed. It, in fact, specifically presents that they will do things like vaccinate regardless of ability to pay or allow them to do so. When I asked how I could trust them, she turned it on me with comments such as "we've had hundreds of people sign this and no one has ever had a problem" and repeating over and over the question of "do you want to go somewhere else?"
Yes. I did. But it's a shelter pet adoption and I have limited funds at Christmas and we get one free vet visit in a small amount of time.
The end result was to yank the paperwork from my hand and return to loudly express to the many people outside, that they would be denying my dog service. Not me. My dog.
I was genuinely afraid I would not be able to pay and would lose my child's dog. Then I was humiliated because I dared to question them.
Stay away from this vet office, unless you're so privileged that you don't have to worry about not paying whatever they deem necessary, I guess.

They have always taken great care of my furry babies! One of my fur-babes has very bad anxiety, but shes a German shepherd and needs regular grooming. Ms. Debbie took such great care of her, that now my fur-babe loves going to the vet, doesn't need sedation, and when she walks in knows exactly where to go! TJ and the other vet techs really know their stuff and my girl just loves everyone! They never try to "sell" stuff and even try to save us money where they can! The vets there are amazing, but I think my girl loves Dr. B the best! I just love this practice and everyone that works there!

I didn’t know where else to turn when one of my hedgehogs (Marshmallow) became sick. I had taken my precious hedgehog (Pumpkin) to another vet when she became sick but it was so far away. And when this is sort of an emergency situation, I couldn’t bring Marshy all the way there. Plus I am new to the neighborhood so I really wasn’t able to get to the other vet. The wonderful staff at Stockton kindly welcomed us with open arms. I was given the warning that this could be a grim prognosis. We did what we could and was told to come back for a check up. It was the worst case scenario but they handled it with grace and sympathy. When it was time to help her across the rainbow bridge, they had the room set up so comfortably. It made the process so much better. And when her remains came back, they were so wonderful. I would recommend Stockton to everyone. I will be coming here with my other two hedgie girls if/when the need arises. Thank you everyone. For being sympathetic, graceful and just overall incredible. Thank you thank you thank you.

I took my cat there because they are so close to my house. The entire staff was so friendly! Both my cat and myself felt comfortable immediately. They did a thorough exam and didn't try to sell me services my cat didn't need. Their prices are beyond reasonable and I have now found my new vet. I cannot recommend them enough.

We decided to switch vet clinics due to our old one being about 20 minutes away and the undue extra stress that would lead to for our cat Carrie. Let me just say I could not be happier. Immediately upon entering we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who had some fun stories to tell about his cat. It only got better from there, the Vet assistant I believe would be his title was extremely friendly and extra loving with Carrie. He gave non stop caring and comfort the entire visit, rubbing her cheeks and petting her to make sure she was very comfy and all the nervousness she had went out the window. The Vet came in after a few minutes and was just as kind and caring. In the end she got some treats, which ended up coming home with her and I could tell a calmness I never saw out of her when we would get home from our last vet.
Quite simply great experience. Very happy we switched and would suggest this place to anyone with a fur baby. Thank you Stockton!
Bonus is they have Saturday office hours which allows us both to go and that is a major plus in my book.

I found Stockton on the Hedgehog Welfare Society's list of reputable, hedgehog friendly veterinarians. I recently took my baby girl in for her first vet appointment and everything about this place is wonderful! They have the most reasonable prices compared to other exotic vets in the area, and they got us in the same day I called! Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and excited to see my baby.
I highly recommend Stockton Pet Hospital to anyone looking for a friendly place that cares deeply about animals.

The people who work here are absolutely incredible and kind! They genuinely care about the well being of your pet and they go way WAY above and beyond to prove that. Extremely well priced for amazing care. They actually take care of and are very knowledgeable about small pets. I have rats and you would not believe how difficult it is to find a vet to take them, let alone take such amazing care of them! Hands down the greatest Vet I've ever been to! We are on our second dog, but still one vet. Dr. Bill Wilcox has had such a great bedside manner with both our dogs, that they truly love him and his assistants. Our late dog used to dance around outside, she was so excited to see him. He has assured me many times, giving me confidence and relief in how to take care of my dogs. He also referred me to excellent surgeons when the late dog got cancer, and with this dog when she tore her ACL right after we got her.

Owning a hedgehog can prove to be a nightmare when you need to find a vet. Luckily I found Stockton pet hospital, and their wonderful and knowledgeable staff! Having had an "office hedgehog" for a few years, they were more than familiar with these little guys, and very comfortable around them. They also had staff members who previously owned them, so I felt very comfortable bringing mine in for a check up. They were able to see him the same day I called every time, and even when delivering bad news they were very professional and compassionate. I only went in a few times, but I am very grateful for everyone in that office for their compassion and their kindness towards me and little Piddles. I highly recommend this vet to anyone!!!

It only got better from there, the Vet assistant I believe would be his title was extremely friendly and extra loving with Carrie. He gave non stop caring and comfort the entire visit, rubbing her cheeks and petting her to make sure she was very comfy and all the nervousness she had went out the window. The Vet came in after a few minutes and was just as kind and caring. In the end she got some treats, which ended up coming home with her and I could tell a calmness I never saw out of her when we would get home from our last vet.
Quite simply great experience. Very happy we switched and would suggest this place to anyone with a fur baby. Thank you Stockton!
Bonus is they have Saturday office hours which allows us both to go and that is a major plus in my book.

I found Stockton on the Hedgehog Welfare Society's list of reputable, hedgehog friendly veterinarians. I recently took my baby girl in for her first vet appointment and everything about this place is wonderful! They have the most reasonable prices compared to other exotic vets in the area, and they got us in the same day I called! Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and excited to see my baby.
I highly recommend Stockton Pet Hospital to anyone looking for a friendly place that cares deeply about animals.

Extremely well priced for amazing care. They actually take care of and are very knowledgeable about small pets. I have rats and you would not believe how difficult it is to find a vet to take them, let alone take such amazing care of them! Hands down the greatest Vet I've ever been to! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

We are on our second dog, but still one vet. Dr. Bill Wilcox has had such a great bedside manner with both our dogs, that they truly love him and his assistants. Our late dog used to dance around outside, she was so excited to see him. He has assured me many times, giving me confidence and relief in how to take care of my dogs. He also referred me to excellent surgeons when the late dog got cancer, and with this dog when she tore her ACL right after we got her.

Found this place because of my Rats, its hard to find a place who will see them and put them down if needed. I have been here twice to put down my old girls and last time was sent a card signed by the whole staff stating there grief which I thought was extremely sweet. I am taking our dogs there tomorrow and I'm sure the experience will be great.

Owning a hedgehog can prove to be a nightmare when you need to find a vet. Luckily I found Stockton pet hospital, and their wonderful and knowledgeable staff! Having had an "office hedgehog" for a few years, they were more than familiar with these little guys, and very comfortable around them. They also had staff members who previously owned them, so I felt very comfortable bringing mine in for a check up. They were able to see him the same day I called every time, and even when delivering bad news they were very professional and compassionate. I only went in a few times, but I am very grateful for everyone in that office for their compassion and their kindness towards me and little Piddles. I highly recommend this vet to anyone!!!
