I've had furry family members my entire life which equates to numerous vets over the years... None, and I mean NONE even come close to my friends at Wadsworth Animal Hospital. Blue's (aka my million dollar dog as my friends like to call him) unique ability for attracting the most bizarre situations have led to many office visits, surgeries, etc. They have always been compassionate & supportive but nothing compared to the love they showed during this painful time of loss. It's in our neighborhood, but that's not why we go. I've brought my dog in here while crying before. I've never felt anything other than that my dog was in the best care possible. The general personal interest they show to every animal I see come through here is what makes them family to us. I've never felt exploited or marginalized as just another customer. Took my 4 year old sheltie here this morning for an exam and some vaccines. I can't tell you how happy I am to have landed here. The prices are great. My sheltie is a very anxious little man. This place was so cozy and clean. Dr. Moffett and the tech were absolutely amazing with him, he really seemed to like them and was more relaxed than I've ever seen him at the vet. I really loved the way my dog was treated here. They attend to you quickly, they are very kind and caring. They even called me the day after my dogs vaccines just to make sure she was feeling ok (since some dogs have allergic reactions). They are very attentive and professional. Read Less

We are a foster fail family and found ourselves with a new dog from the Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue quite unexpectedly.  Because our pup came from a shelter we wanted to get her a complete check-up to make sure she was healthy and happy. I love that fact that Wadsworth Animal Hospital has walk-in hours I have never had a vet operate like this and it is so convenient!  The staff was so nice and welcoming from my initial phone call to walking in the door.  The vet techs were thorough and knew how to handle a nervous pup.  Dr. Moffett was so nice and listened to all my questions and concerns.   They provided me with a quote for the visit and let me select what I wanted to have done from their suggestions.  I did not feel pressured to do unnecessary testing but was very grateful for their suggestions and explanations.  This was a great first vet experience for our pup and we will definitely be back for her future care. My husband took our dog in for a second opinion after one vet said they couldn't do anything for her without $500 + in tests. Heidi and Janet said they could run tests or treat symptoms for less than half the cost of the testing at the other vet. They rehydrated our dog and gave her medicine for nausea. We thought we had almost lost her and they helped us so much and gave us options. Janet even called to check on her. Our dog has made a full recovery! Doctors Eisen and Olson are incredible. Dr. Olson was able to treat our 8-year-old lab's hip soreness in October 2015, and Dr. Eisen gave our dog and 2-year-old cat a thorough physical in September 2015. Both of our pets came out of their visits happy and healthy.What really puts Wadsworth over the top is how caring they were when our dog tore his ACL. The doctors consulted with us, considered our questions, and gave great advice regarding surgery options. Our dog walked out of surgery on 2/16/16 a bit sore but in good spirits. Dr. Eisen explained the next steps in recovery and made sure we understood what we needed to do to make sure he recovered fully. The next day, we received a follow-up call just checking in to see how our dog was doing.The care and courtesy from everyone at Wadsworth is second to none. I came here yesterday. The receptionist was super nice and friendly with my pup. The vet was extremely nice as well. She seemed really sweet and caring. The receptionist proactively called the person on the phone to pay for my bill.Unfortunately, I had to return the next day because my pup's cut opened up again. The receptionist was kind of cold. I asked the receptionist to call the person to pay my bill- like the other receptionist did the day before. She gave me a dirty look and said okay. A few minutes later, she told me they hung up on her and told me to call them. .... like it would make a difference if she called again? And isn't this her job? So I called and then handed the receptionist my phone while she received the billing information. I don't like when strangers use my personal cell phone...Other than that, this place still gets 4 stars for the extremely nice vet. Also, they have walk in hours from 2-5 which were convenient for me during my time off. And they offer complimentary beverages in the waiting room. I think they might be close to expired or something- there was Santa Claus on the cans on Jan 29th but maybe not.Overall, decent experience. Read Less

I am so happy we found Wadsworth Animal Hospital. Our cat Sopies was injured and we had taken her to an emergency care facility. They did not find anything. We took her to Wadsworth Animal Hospital. My dogs love the staff at Wadsworth Animal Hospital. I love the fact that my dogs are happy when seeing the vet, and that when we have an appointment we are always seen promptly. We are even seen promptly when we are walk-ins! One of my dogs is aggressive to other dogs, so when we showed up as a walk-in for a booster shot the staff took her through the back door so we could avoid any drama with the other dogs sitting in the waiting room. We found WAH on YELP when our affordable vet wasn't available to see our little fur baby and they happened to be OPEN on Saturday and right down the street AND accepting walk-ins. The cost was very affordable and the tech and the vet listened to everything we had to say, and my bf talks a lot, so we were very happy to have patient, caring, loving people take care of our sweetie. We also appreciated the fact we had options and weren't forced into getting testing we didn't need to do. We have already recommended them and will do so again! I can't even begin to stress how well I was treated here. I had to take my dog in for emergency care (due to my dog getting into something she wasn't supposed to) and I didn't receive any judgement. They went out of their way to help me and when I was reunited with my healthy dog, I couldn't think of anything to do but hug the Dr. They are compassionate and will do what they can to help you and your pet.I had been to previous vets who pushed so many tests on me that I ended up paying $600+, but WAS understood that I wasn't the type to spend more than necessary and only recommended what was needed to get her back to herself.
