I cannot recommend Dr. Landes and Equine Medical Services enough.
Dr. Landes has been my horse's vet, as well as the "barn vet" for two different places I've boarded over the last six years. He is patient, attentive, and the value you get for his services is unparalleled.
His routine services such as spring/fall shots and dental floating are very cost-effective and easy to schedule. He only does manual floats - harder work for him, much better results for your horse.
He answers phone calls and voicemails promptly (so important!). I cannot count how many people I have referred to him in emergencies when their vet was unavailable or not answering the phone.
His stitching skill at even the most horrendous of gashes is incredible (he credits his seamstress mother!)
With more complicated cases, he is realistic, giving a thorough overview of treatment options available, their cost, and their chance of success. He is empathetic and caring when it's time to help a horse on its final way home.
He is the person I trust most to take care of my horse, hands down, and I recommend him to everyone I know.

We met Dr. Landes in March of 2006 after our 2yr old gelding "Lucky Perfect Poco" , not so lucky at the time, contracted influenza. Dr. Landes and Dr. J pulled him through it. I can't tell you how grateful we are to have had the excellent care they provided. Since that time Dr. Landes has become our primary care provider. Dr. Landes has been more than patient, kind and available for our herd. Even at midnight when a colt needed stitches. Thank you Dr. Landes for all you do! You're 5 stars in my book!
