We have had Dr Marta and the staff at LaPaorte Animal Clinic care for four of our animals over the last 13 years and they are amazing! Special attention was given to my older dog when she needed it, and they always treat my two cats and new puppy dog with care and expertise. I love going to LaPorte Animal Clinic for my two dwarf (indoor, house) rabbits. I drive from Laramie, WY every time I need something for them. I've seen Marta for things as simple as nail trimmings (which always go over quickly and fuss free!) all the way up to things as complicated as spaying/neutering, lab tests, and an eye removal surgery. The staff knows how to handle rabbits really well, and they're always really caring with them. They always go over every part of the bill in detail for you, and I never feel overcharged. Marta is very knowledgeable and has helped me keep the bunnies in tip-top shape for almost 3 years! I would highly recommend her for anyone in the area with rabbits. Read Less

Marta is a s FANTASTIC vet. Last week I took my 4 year old cat in just after his routine check up because something just didn't seem right. Marta listened to me and did an exam and determined that Mumble was in a lot of pain. Turned out my poor little guy was having kidney problems. She was quick to start a treatment plan gave me an estimate of the cost and within the day my Mumble cat was back to his old self. I wouldn't take him anywhere else. It was a very scary day but I knew that my best friend was in good hands. She has a wonderful team of vet techs that take a lot of time to explain everything and answer all of your questions. I would invite anyone that loves thier pets to check out LaPorte Animal clinic. Both Dr Deans ( large and small doctors) really know thier stuff when it comes to helping you take care for your furry friends. We had a wonderful Midnight ( she was a black lab) that became very ill, Dr Marta Dean did everything possible to help us to extend her life and keep her comfortable. It the end when she passed they were with us and greived along side of us. This small hospital takes the time to know not only their furry, feathered , hairy clients but the people that care for them. In 2001 I was with Raintree Animal Clinic, Ft. Collins, and after $750 of agonizing, tie my puppy down tests, I refused any more of their help and took him to La Porte Animal Clinic in La Porte, CO. Dr. Marta gave him a $10 pill and he was better the next day. We have been with them with 3 cats now 2 dogs and a horse. They never ever made me feel over charged and definitely care about the animals best interest. Their prices are completely reasonable and they are very nice people. The first time I came here was unfortunately to euthanized my 14 year old dog. I'm new to the area and hadn't established my dogs with a vet in Fort Collins yet. They handled everything very professionally and the technician I spoke with over the phone when I first called to make the appointment was extremely kind and sympathetic and spent quite a while talking to me. As soon as I got there they put us in an exam room and made the whole process as smooth as possible. I was an emotional mess but their kindness made it "easier" if you can even call putting a pet to sleep that. They gave me a handwritten sympathy card and a brochure to the Argus Institute at CSU for grieving the loss of a pet. About a month later, I brought my new rescue dog into them for a bordetella vaccine who I was told by the rescue was "not very tolerant of vaccines". The 2 technicians who came into the exam room were very friendly and patient with him even though he was being difficult. We ended up leaving there without a vaccine (he was too upset and stressed out) but they didn't charge me for an exam or anything and were very understanding of him being so upset.
