Absolute worst since Banfield took it over. They are never able to see your pet. They have no relationship with clients.

The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We took our cat in as she’d been declining in health recently, and with all the symptoms we listed the Dr ran the appropriate tests to come to a diagnosis. Not once did they try to get me to pay for additional testing that was not needed (which some vets are known to do). Even with the bad outcome we got, the staff were kind and considerate and quick to get our kitty onto a treatment plan to help ease her pain. Read Less

We have been patients of this clinic since moving to Colorado four years ago. I have had nothing but positive things to say. It was exactly the experience we were looking for. Small, personalized and caring. When one of my cats was suddenly struck ill 3 years ago I truly credit them with her recovery. They trained me to administer meds and kept costs down by focusing on immediate and important needs and not pushing tests that likely wouldn't have contributed to a better outcome. Over the time they have treated my 6 cats (two have passed, four are current patients) and my dog. So, you may ask why the 2 stars if I am so happy? Well, since the conversion into Banfield I feel like we have lost everything I loved about this place. Now, it feels like a high pressure sales environment. I spent more on one cat's ear mites recently than I did a few years ago when my cat I mentioned above was gravely ill. Multiple visits, multiple screenings, multiple doses of medication even after the screening showed no mites, medication charges more than triple retail cost. Plus now I am getting incessant emails from Banfield which I don't recall signing up for (yes, i will unsubscribe). Overall, I am disapointed. I guess the best way to describe it is imagine your favorite little shop you have gone to for years is now a Wal-Mart. No matter how much they dress it up, it's still a Wal-Mart... Read Less

I had called around a lot for vet pricing and was quoted at Annie's for a low price for appointments and a specific blood test. After the appointment I went to check out and it was 240$ I was quoted around 85$ I paid reluctantly as they had already roped me into coming to them. However after viewing previous blood work and the one Annie's did (the type, pricing, and method of analyzation of the blood test, and so price, changed a bit per person and per question, as I talked to them) They told me they think he is fine but he could be dying. I recommend if you have exotics you see a specialist. Vets will choose what to charge and what to reveal about what you paid for based on money and legality. It's a business to them, as well as care, but business first. Kudos to the pet lovers who see the animals as equal life. Read Less

We did have to put our dog down last month. We chose to go to Annie's Animal Clinic in Highlands Ranch. We were very impressed with the compassion that Annie's Animal Clinic, Dr. Abrams, and the entire staff, had during this process. All showed that they really cared about us, and even followed up with a donation (a tree planted in Tahoe National Forest in our late dog's name), a hand written note from the staff, and a clay paw print for our memories. I would highly recommend this clinic for any pet owner. Read Less

Steer clear of Dr. Abrams. I have been bringing my dog in for a couple years now because of his epilepsy. He is on two different meds that require testing. I left my old vet because the meds were cheaper at Annie's. Dr. Abrams recently had me retest him and then told me he was going to need be tested every 60 days because of his levels. I wanted a second opinion so I went back to my old vet to have him look over the blood work and he said that none of that extra testing was needed and he's not sure why the testing needed to happen in the first place as we hadn't increased his dosage and his levels were normal for his size of dog. What joke this place is. Front office staff was always polite to me though when I would come in.Read Less

I've been extremely pleased with Annie's animal clinic since we started going there a little over a year ago. We had recently moved to town and I brought my pitbull to Dr. Abrams because she really was not acting like herself and was not acting right. Dr. Abrams spent PLENTY of time with me and my dogs trying to figure out what was going on and diagnosed most likely a neurologic tumor (which was a confirmed diagnosis by a neurologist later). She was so sweet and caring and appropriately taking care of my sick dog. I have since moved and continued to drive across town to take my other elderly dog back to see her as well as my new puppy. I never feel rushed and she always takes the time that it's necessary to answer questions and picks up on things that I didn't even know we're going on. I only took away one star because the prices are a bit on the higher side as well as it is somewhat difficult to get an appointment sometimes, as I think their practice has gotten busier. But the care we have received from Dr. Abrams has been nothing less than exceptional. Read Less

Every time we have gone to Annie's Animal Clinic, we have had a positive experience. We started taking our older cat Kramer there in 2005 when we moved to Highlands Ranch. Each appointment was quick and easy and the vet (Dr. MacKenzie) was personable and sweet, and answered all our questions. In 2010 we had dental surgery done for him for numerous cavities. The price was cheaper than I expected after talking to other places, and the whole process was effortless. We had a ""new cat"" afterwards - he was so much happier. In 2011 Kramer was 14 and had a number of health problems. We decided we had to get him put to sleep, but at the last minute, I could not go through with it. The compassion that Dr. MacKenzie showed was amazing. She outlined our options. We could keep him with us, but with daily medications and strong pain pills, and his quality of life would still be low. We decided to go through with it. I almost felt like the Dr. was my friend by the end of this with how much empathy she showed. They did not collect our money at the end, but advised us to grieve and worry about it later. They sent us a sympathy card the next week, which I appreciated. Months later, we have two new pets and Annie's is going to do free exams since they came from a shelter. I completely trust Annie's Animal Clinic and can't imagine taking my animals anywhere else. Read Less
