My dog, Lucy, had a sore that she kept messing with. I had never taken her to a vet before, so I found this group in my neighborhood. I was working so my husband took Lucy over (they made space for her even though they had a full schedule). Turned out she had a Bot fly. They explained to my husband what it was, captured it so I could see it. I was impressed when my husband brought Lucy home with all the information about the fly and her recovery needs. I was pleased, but a few minutes later the vet actually called me directly and went over the information with me as well. I love that she caught the information that Lucy was "my" dog and wanted to be sure I had all the information I needed to take care of the sore. We have cats and a dog. We *love* our pets and have not even considered changing vets since we started going to them 12 years ago. They really listen to any issues we see and base their recommendations on our pet's needs (not based on what is most profitable). I've even been able to reach out to them via email and always receive a response the same day (I only do this when I'm sending my diabetic cat's blood test numbers). I highly recommend Canyon View! I first came to Canyon view looking for a last minute appointment when my older cat had a sudden eye infection. They took her in next day with such care and performed all the right tests to determine the cause. We adopted a kitten as well and brought her here for spaying and shots - the staff and vets are all very knowledgeable, friendly and organized. The vet called me the next day after the spay to check up on my kitten and they emailed me right away as well when I had questions. We have been going to Canyon View Animal Hospital for over three years now. We have owned dogs for +15 years now and have never received the great care we now get at Canyon View! I think that the hospital works very hard to make it a very cohesive group and the communication between the three doctors, along with the vet techs and the people up front is really great! This is important so that you do not have to tell your story to several people before you finally get a problem solved on the phone or at their hospital, like some other hospitals that are so huge you never see the same doctor when you go! The doctors are Awesome and I feel very comfortable with their expertise when caring for my beautiful bedlington terriers. I am thankful I have found them. I have never felt pressure to do any extra testing, but still comfortable that the doctors are very thorough! They are warm and sensitive to your worries and needs and I always feel better when I leave there instead of still being concerned because of the loving, individualized care that they give you. I would not hesitate to send anyone there for care of their loving pet. In fact, I have referred several people there and they still go to Canyon View and love the care!. I also love the reminders for any upcoming treatment that our pups need such as tests or injections. They did a hack job on my poor guy and left him with barely any tail at all and a huge bill to go along with it. I said, "Enough's enough!". CVAH is a great and smart place to bring your pets that you love. I have two dogs that have both been there several times, for their annual check up as well as any kind of emergencies. I have also brought other dogs for friends and clients here when needed and they are very caring and give wonderful advice and solutions. They don't try to rip you off on services that are not necessarily needed for your animals, and if you decline, they don't make you feel like a bad pet owner because of it. I have called them just for advice on my dogs and they vets and the assistants are helpful and informative, even over the phone. You can book your appointments online as well, which is a plus. Also, for a vet's office, it isn't extremely overpriced at all. I highly recommend anyone in the Ken Caryl or Littleton area to make this place your pets' doctors office.Read Less

My bulldog wad sick recently and I knew he needed to be seen. We used to go to a Vet in Centennial but now living on the west side of town we needed a closer vet for our dog. For the past 7 years, I brought my 12 year old Lab, Madison, to Canyon View Animal Hospital. I wish I had known about Canyon View when Madison was a puppy! Dr. Bumpers and Dr. Heim are compassionate, honest, and very knowledgeable. There was no doubt in my mind that I found a gem in veterinary care for my sweet Madison. Canyon View Animal Hospital is the BEST out there, hands down.  Dr. Bumpers and Dr. Heim, along with their staff (Stacey, Jessica, Josh, Lexie, I know I'm missing a couple of people) are the most helpful, knowledgable, compassionate veterinarians out there.   They take better care of my pets than my doctor does for me.  Whenever my dogs have had to have any surgery, I've always received a follow up call the next day from these wonderful people.  They were there for us when we adopted our first rescue dog, and were there for us when he crossed the rainbow bridge.  I cannot say enough good things about Canyon View Animal Hospital. I rescued a high energy Aussie Shepherd/Border Collie in June 2013. I picked Canyon View for their excellent customer service testimonies. Since June we've been multiple times for initial exam, vaccinations, and check ups. Dr Heim has been always available, calling to check on my pup and the staff, Clare, Lexi, Josh & JJ are there for us either in person, via phone or for quick email questions. I will drive from downtown Denver to take my dog to Dr. Bumpers.  I used to live around the corner from Canyon View, and Dr. Bumpers took great care of my two aging dogs. When they developed problems that needed advanced care or surgery, Dr. Bumpers did not hesitate to make referrals for things that were outside of her expertise.  When it was time to say goodbye to my old Lab she came to my house to take care of Raven and cried with me.  My old girls knew they would get cheese at the vet so they loved going there, even though they were getting treatments or procedures that were not fun.  I now have a new young Weimaraner who came from rescue with some health issues that had been mis-diagnosed and improperly treated by another vet.  She was not getting better, so after several tests Dr. Bumpers finally determined the problem and my Weimaraner is now fine, healthy and full of energy.  I truly appreciate Dr. Bumpers and the professionalism of her entire staff and although there are a number of other veterinary offices much closer to me, I am more than happy to make the drive to Canyon View for the care my pets will receive there. I have an avian vet--Jerry LaBonde at Homestead Animal Hospital--and prefer to use him exclusively. But I have used Canyon View on several occasions since the hospital is close to home and I have found Dr Paula Bumpers to be a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian. I once found a pigeon that had most likely been poisoned and I had Dr Bumpers put the poor baby to sleep. She also euthanized one of my ringneck doves.A few years ago (spring 2007) I rescued a cat in my neighborhood. If I hadn't, he surely would have become the coyote population's next meal. (Many cats did not come home that spring.....) However, it was "kitten" season and I couldn't find a shelter to which I could relinquish this cat. So I asked if Canyon View could board the cat until I *did* find a no-kill shelter.Well to make a short story long, Dr  Bumpers fell in love with the cat and adopted him for her own. He's been the hospital's "mascot" since that time. (I assume he's still there anyway.) In return, she gave me a 20-year old eastern rosella. He's still with me.My neighbors bring their dogs to this hospital and they've been pleased with the doctors and the staff as well. Read Less
