For every day basic care and maintenance and even the suturing from a horse caught up on something, I would recommend this clinic all day long. They have great options for maintenance programs for you and your horses, at great pricing, and they make it easy to remember. However, for lameness, I am sorely disappointed. I took my horses here past 3 years. We knew them, the clinic knew them. I had some big concerns about my geldings knees and showing all last season. In the many visits and evaluations I was told he was fine to ride and JUMP. Toward the end of the season, our last visit, I was told a pretty devastating diagnosis. I of course went for a second opinion. Turns out my poor horse had NO business jumping or even being ridden. In a flex test (not even a week after my lameness exam at CECLC) my poor boy carried his front left foot for 4 strides before even attempting to put it down. His right front wasn't much farther off. I was speechless, devastated and heartbroken. Turns out his right knee was fused in all but the lower, and collapsed. His left was collapsing, and beginning to fuse. This was proven with x-rays. Unfortunately due to the advanced stage of his knees, despite everything we did to make him more comfortable, we had to make the heart wrenching decision to say our goodbyes January 2017. The chronic failure of his knees was not something that was caused by trauma, or happened overnight. This took years. And bless this horses heart, he STILL let me climb up and carried me over fences, in the back country trails, and at the showgrounds! His knees were a concern I had from day one of seeing CECLC years ago. I have constantly been reassured that his knees were not the big issue, his back was. I invested heavily in radiographs of his back due to this. All vet clinics, and tradesmen and women have bad stories that follow us. But this, after 3+ years, in my book, is inexcusable. I lost one of the greatest horses I ever had the opportunity to know, and I cannot help but think that had this been addressed sooner, we could have slowed the progression, changed his riding program, and he would still be with me today.Read Less
